Hey
could you try and upload the pics directly into the thread?
I tried that one app. Couldn't get it to work. I have an S8.
I'd love to though

Measured shims and made joint strips . My shims are 2 inches wide.
I made them a bit bigger do I can trim if needed.
I measured my true waist, 41". Then I mated the ab and kidney with tape, 37.5 ". Did the math to get shim size equal on both sides.

Hi all!
Here is a mock up before fastening.
I'm finding that leaving it in a mock up over night helps with some fitting.
Tell me what you think.
-
How wide are your thigh strips?
I made mine 23mm
-
I'm thinking I need shims?
Does this mock up seem ok?

My size is 5'9", 210.
If you are around same size, with pics, let me know.
Most guys are rails it seems. No offense.

So the easy way to put it is ideally there is no gap, but depending on your size you may have one. This mostly depends on if you plan to join the 501st and at what level you want to make it. Basic approval you can have some gap, can't recall but think it is a quarter inch, after that you need to add a shim.

Thanks.
Unfortunately I am not 5' 11" 165lbs.
Looks like shims then.

I have seen videos, images, read about builds a lot. I am seeing mixed things about a gap (black undersuit showing)on the sides. Is there supposed to be no gap when ab and kidney joined at the sides?
I haven't got to this point yet. But close, and need the right input.
-
I think my ab should be positioned lower.
When I raise me left leg, I don't get much interference.
Is there a maximum gap to see black, between cod and thigh pieces?
-
Let me know what you guys think.
feels good.
Want expert view though.
Before I glue.
-
Yea it does help, thanks.
What do you think. My right is a bit more snug.

I am getting ready to start work on my calves.
I'm looking for images of calves being fitted to estimate what to trim.
Anything will help.
-
Does this look ok?
Or does gap need to be a bit more snug?
It feels a bit loose but I assume straps will help?https://photos.app.goo.gl/RTM5gkxkqXmg4uf68

It feels tight on lower area. I know I need more trimming, but I'm being a bit cautious about it.

My first kit. Trimming pieces down.
I'm noticing my body is a bit bigger than what I thought.
Is a hot bath the best way to loosen up the plastic or are there other techniques that have been used?

I am wondering if anyone has an image of bicep armor for individuals with larger arms?
I trimmed one set and I might have trimmed too much. Novice move.
