  1. Thanks Rob :)

Stefan & Daniel, I've added you guys to the list, cheers :)

I got a load of nuts, bolts & washers in the post today. They're enough to make 25 sets so that should keep me out of mischief for a while. They're so small, I feel like a giant!

I considered whether it'd be more authentic to have a threaded rod run right the way through the outer cylinders but I don't think it would because the end caps of the originals are soldered on at each end. I feel this soldering would have been unnecessary if the threaded rod ran right the way through & had nuts on the end so I've gone with this way. Hopefully one day we'll find one & be able to take it apart :)

Juhuuuuu....that's really great....indeed. I'm looking forward to get this stuff :duim:

    Thank you, Andy ;)

  2. I would invest in a pair of TK boots and not have to worry about constant upkeep and repainting your boots after every troop.

Oh...I would say, the thing with the painted boots is rather accurate than the TK boots...ala Tantive IV.

But don't misunderstand me, I wear even these TK boots( with weathering to simulate the tantive look) and this boots are really great....

But the version of Fernando is good as well....with a little more weathering ;) ...the boots still looks 'clean' :P

  3. great discussion everyone!

got to say though i dont understand why anyone would ask for a cleaned up version of an RS PROPS helmet???

am i missing something here???

It's simply easy...there were sundry stunt helmets in the movie and therefore there is nothing the same stuff on the shelf. And therefore the demand...look at the reference pics further up.
