  1. I'm ordering this evening if you're sure you won't use it for a spare bucket or cap etc.
  2. I've just heard back from Anovos and the butt and kidney plate are separate.

  4. That would be my hope as it does a appear to be some what idealised but they do make a point of pointing out the asymmetrical look so who knows.
  5. That should be my hope as it does a appear to be some what idealised but they do make a point of pointing out the asymmetrical look so who knows.
  6. A fair point, but ignoring the specifics, would a warped back ROTJ bucket be an issue on an ANH build? I suppose you could warm and unwarp it to an extent.
  7. I've just spent a a bit comparing the images on their site of the prototype. I've been comparing them to images in centurion builds and I do think the mould accuracy is good, one thumb print is a detail many kits miss. My first concern is the rear of the helmet looks more like a ROTJ helmet than a ANH that most have, and it also looks like stickers rather than hand painted, though that makes sense and is easy to change. The 2nd is isn't not clear if the butt and kidney plates are 1 piece or two. Would the shape of the rear of the helmet force an ROTJ build or would a ANH be okay? The rest of the build is clearly ANH so I would expect they've gone this route with the butt/kidney too. I gather the helmet was based on a archive one so that may well have been a later one. I think ultimately I've sold myself on this kit now, I have been investigating other vendors but I *think* I"m about to order one of these.
  8. Really great build. Lot of inspiration for my build in there too. If mine comes out half as good I'll be happy!
  9. I would expect the inside of a scope to be flat black, like a camera lens. The idea would be to minimise internal reflections which would cause glare and loss of contrast.
  10. Don't get too excited yet! I got a super basic test of an audio engine library running but all that means is an app opens and played a tone. I'm going to start properly by following Apples training documents first then move back to the audio side later.
  11. Reading between the lines of their most recent post, the low price was so they could get a massive upfront capital injection to allow them to be able order materials in much higher volumes and so cash in on the quantity discounts. The price is going up, they've said $650 after July 9th and also theres a "may change" bit on it somewhere too. I figure you're looking at about $700-800 by the end of all that.
  12. I had exactly this idea yesterday and came looking to see if someones already done it, looks like no. Whilst I have never done any IOS/mac development I am a developer so I am hopefully going to be able to work somthing out. I started reading through some of the core audio docs yesterday at lunch and once I get some time will start on the work of creating an IOS app. Roughly my idea was read in the mic, EQ the mids out, apply a small pitch shift downwards and then add a static burst when you stop talking. Sounds simple but real time audio isn't exactly famous for being easy. Would love to see/speak to the OP about what this android app does. This is not a promice of delivery, I have a long line of half finished products in my wake. With out knowing exactly whats happening already applying a EQ to drop out some of the mids gives a sort of boxy tinny sound.
  13. Will all boots ordered from this point be the new more accurate design or is there some inventory to work through? Also if the boots run narrow, and I have wide square feet what would the advice be size wise? +1 size?
  14. I'm in a similar position. I've not ordered an Anovos kit but have workings happening about a kit from somewhere else. The former will be a fair amount cheaper but there's all the unknowns. I've learnt over the years buy once buy right (not to all situations but most) and this really is that situation and I really can't seem to decide it Anovos is "right".
  15. What quantity would you recomend for a blaster build? Would 100g be enough or should I go for 400g?
  16. That magic sculpt looks great. I'll be getting some for my build. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Do you have a link for this? I couldn't find them on the web site. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Hi everyone, I am almost certainly going to be ordering one of these kits. This would be my first set of armour but would be fulfilling a bucket list item. I've wanted a full armour set since I first saw some 501st at a star wars theme staff ball when I worked at Thorpe Park. I've looked into this in the past but ruled it too expensive to even consider. In the mean time, i guess it's E-11 time or maybe a craft foam armour like Astyanax for one of my girls (I'll start with 1, I don't think I could face building 4 at once!)
