  1. Congratulations Bryan! Hope to see you in the Advanced Tactics section soon!
  2. I made the bracket out of .060 black styrene and some .060 X .250 white styrene. It's 12" long X 1 3/16" wide(just wider than T-track as seen in photo). The height is at 2 different levels to accommodate extra width in front. It's 1/2" tall in front and 5/8" tall in the white area. I curved the supports under white strips to cradle the blaster. 1/2" notches were cut in sides to allow velcro strap to be inserted. I lined them up with blaster and mounting of pack in mind. The 1" fender washer provides support and holds velcro as seen in photos. I used the same washers on inside of pack to make a sturdy mount. Also note the small stips I added in front of support to cradle the center T-track. No shifting can happen now. All blue areas were later covered with the soft side of velcro to provide scratch protection. Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  3. My pack is now 22" wide magazine to pipe! Still should be ok to clear doorways. Slowly!!!
  4. I thought that too, but it is high up and it's strong with straps pinched between washers. Plus one tug you should feel it. I myself don't stand around much to give them a chance. Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  5. Go for it! THT Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  6. The blaster is held on by velcro straps made for extension cords.I've mounted the bracket with fender washers/lock washers and nuts. Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  7. Hey Dax, welcome to the FISD. I'd check out Tony's(UKSWRATHS) build thread. It's become the bible of Anovos instructions. Since you've already got the armor let me recommend you check out the Advanced Tactics section and see how Troopers have taken theirs to the higher level of accuracy. You have a good start and you'll be trooping before you know it. Congratulations also on the weight loss! A set of armor is a great weight loss encourager! Good Luck Future Trooper!
  8. Quick test fit before painting Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  9. So I saw in some other thread someone mounted there E-11 on the side of the pack. I liked the idea of adding the extra blaster instead of it sitting in the bin. Here's what I came up with so far.the washer will hold 1/2" velcro strap and bolt to pack.this shot shows how it locks around T-track. I'll cushion with soft side velcro.here it is taped up ready for paint Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  10. I like the pauldron old chap. That would go over great in a 4th of July parade! But more important Paul, give that Trooper to your left some help! Is it bad I can't stop staring?
  11. Congratulations T.J.! Welcome to the Centurion ranks! Glad to see another WTF make it.
  12. That is looking good! A little weathering and BOOM! Are you getting an orange pauldron so we can see you in the Advanced Tactics section? What BFG are you thinking?
  13. I used small bolts and lock nuts with fender washers to attach mine<br> I also bought these 1/2" spacers to put in between pipe and pack. It was nice and strong to take the hits! I hate doors!!!
  14. Love that cocky pose! Yeah, we're HWT's! What about it? Awesome!
  15. But that's the thing. We don't argue here! We're family! Everyone of us brother. As you stated you can have a prop weapon in your area. Then go for it! What are you going with? so I can find your build thread when it starts! I'm being biased here so I'll recommend a DLT-19 and go HWT! Check out my EIB thread and see how mine came out. Great talk Brother,
  16. Hey Gerard! Glad to see the enthusiasm! To a point... We're a great group and are here to help you. Your kinda overlooking a few things. "Based on" can also be used in a way like I did. I used images of a real MG-34 to help scratchbuild my DLT-19. Did you ever think some people don't know what real weapons the prop dept. Started with in creating blasters for the movie. It helps them knowing the Base or core of the replica they are creating. And second this back and forth arguing could be construed as trolling! In the end we're plastic space men and women having fun for a good cause. Let's keep it that way and hope to see a build thread from you soon. Again welcome to the FISD! And Good Luck Future Trooper!
  17. Great looking build! The only thing I see is no white on your mic tips. And don't worry sir I didn't see you playing with your dolls! Good Luck on this easy approval!
  18. I didn't do a build thread but if you have any questions just ask away. Any help I can give to a Future HWT! Most of the boxes were scratch built. Two of them are Radio Shack work boxes. Can you guess which ones?
  19. Glad to see your application! Good Luck Shawn.
  20. RS Propmaster is right in your backyard Tony. Look into the UK garrison. They're a great bunch of chap's. They'll put you on the right path. Good Luck!
  21. I was under the impression it was ROTJ armor with ANH bucket painted up to look ROTJ. But I could have misunderstood.
  22. Great choice Rick! Amazing the peer pressure a patch can do! Glad to see the HWT ranks will grow by another. Good Luck!
  23. Mark hit the nail on the head. As someone who went this route when I joined the paint worked great for dozens of troops. I say dozens because I switched to a pair of Imperial Boots. The paint was fine on my Chelsea's but the problem was with the space around the ankles. Those boots have a wide opening so that play's havoc with the bottom of shin. Making them rise when you walk up stairs and such. The TK boots and Imperial really hug your ankle. So just wanted to let you know. Oh, and if you paint it takes a good 6 or 7 coats. But they look original accurate when done.
  24. The way you're going you'll have no problem when the BBB arrives. Can't wait to see your build thread and later in the Advanced Tactics section! Good Luck Future Trooper!
  25. You're on your way! Looking good so far!
