  1. Just follow the contour of the bottom and take off even levels all the way around. Don't take too much at once. Best is trim some and try it on and see how it's riding. If still too much take a another level and try again. And that won't stop you from going Centurion.
  2. Yes I clean my armor and....What?
  3. The black buttons would render the swap between clean TK useless. You trying to take our selling feature?
  4. Most people can't wear TD and pack Preston. So it's best to remove so it doesn't get damaged.
  5. Lmao! I know silly! I don't see drop boxes either but you have them for basic. I say 86 the boxes altogether. If you can lose holster you can lose boxes.
  6. I agree with Tony about belt. With pouch covering holes from holster I don't think that should matter. I like Eric's edit except the drop boxes. But I can live with it. I don't think we need to add the Video/lights section. If they follow CRL it shouldn't be an Issue. But Thanks for including me, I feel Special! The new CRL will definitely be improved with omission of TD and new photos. I'm sure it's a lot of work but wouldn't it be better for each section to have a photo to accompany it. Like cod rivet and butt plate snap location. And maybe photo showing free floating sholder straps and how they should look. I know this is stuff for a regular TK but it works for this one too. I'm always told by recruits that some wording isn't straight foward and a picture would help. Just my 2 credits.
  7. Yes that is correct. When you showed me the photo I figured you would see the orientation. I should have made sure you understood it completely. Did you follow measurements on photo exactly to end up to high? It's an easy fix though. I did my fix in one night. It dries fast.
  8. Glad to see these are back again! Thanks Joseph and Mathias!
  9. That's copied from the original. Which was hand sculptured so your good to go. Good Luck and make sure you start a build thread.
  10. That's easy. Just make some abs paste out of pure acetone and some scrap abs cut into tiny pc's. Get a glass (Important) container with a lid. Put some acetone and scrap in jar and swish it around every once in awhile. It should be the consistency of melted ice cream. Put tape over outside of armor and with popsicle stick fill holes from backside. After it dries you should be able to sand and polish outside of armor. You can do it. I had to fix a couple of rivets myself when I went Centurion. You got this Jim! We'll laugh about this year's later! Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  11. Looking good Jim! Another thing I noticed is your left side rivets look like they're spaced wrong. They look too close. As it looks when you put belt up where it belongs your bottom rivet will still be showing. And it shouldn't.
  12. Congratulations Troopers!
  13. Congratulations Preston! Doing the Centurion Ranks proud!
  14. That dont look to bad. If velcro doesn't work you could go with the bra closure.
  15. Great pictures Sarah! See you sporting your HWT! You all looked great!
  16. Looks good! Only thing I see is your ab looks like it could come up. It looks like it's trying to pop out from under your chestplate. Maybe move chest down a little could help. Besides that looking great Trooper! Good Luck!
  17. When you look that good you feel like you could ALMOST hit your target!
  18. Looking good David! Best of luck!
  19. The top photo looks good and what it should look like. When I said photos it was with you wearing it mocked up. Again I see the text you provided. I see page 6. Is that from what section? Limbs I imagine. I'll go look now. If you don't get a definitive answer you can ask in the Advanced Tactics section.
  20. Welcome to the FISD Java! Great score on the armor. It's always good to sign up with your local garrison. I like the instruction boik you made! I'm sure Tony will get a kick out of it. Now the advice I give is my opinion, not anything else. It's really up to your GML and Tony and Andrews call. The pieces you suggested for trimming return edge is fine. Maybe it was a misinterpretation thinking all return edges can go. The core of the armor has return edges where the limbs have little to no return edge in spots. Usually trimming tops of thighs and bottom of shins for sizing. The return edge is totally removed around wrist area. When in doubt check out some Anovos Centurion application's for reference. I believe you'll be ok for basic approval with the side gaps. The drive to wear armor is a great motivator for losing weight. So keep at it and those gaps will get a little smaller. For the 30mm coverstrip question, I think it would be great for all of us if you gave us some front and back mock up photos so we can see. Blue tape them on and post some shots and we'll see. Again welcome Java! Best of Luck Future Trooper!
  21. I use charcoal powder Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
  22. Hey Peter, When I saw the pictures the first-time it seemed like your left thigh was even bigger then your right. If you look at shin to thigh area they need to almost be the same width to make the look of a joint. I would suggest tapering the backs in on shins, if you can. And then taper thigh to that width if that makes sense to you. Don't taper to much, it would look funny. Plus you could work on height of thighs after as Sarah has suggested. Love the pack Future HWT Brother!
  23. Congratulations Paul! I'm sure it's going to be a great year. And Thank You Tim for leading us through a great year.
  24. Looking good Jim! Just one thing. Your drop boxes are out to far. They should line up with the edge of plastic belt. The gap between them looks perfect. Easy fix. So we should see some pictures of you in it soon the way it looks.
  25. Your getting there "Steve" Keep up the good work Kevin!
