More stable this way IMO. That tube is vulnerable and you'll be surprised how many times you bang things wearing pack. Anyway you put it on is up to you. Glad to see another Heavy coming along! Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk

Mine is attached in two spots on pack. One near each end, top and bottom. I used a machine screw and nut, two fender washers for stability and a nylon spacer to get tube off pack a little. They are 1/2" long and have hole in center for screw. To get the machine screw through hole I drilled in pipe where I wanted them was easy with a pc. Of thread tied around end of screw and fed through hole from inside out. Then I just pulled string and screw came right to hole and out. Once mounted it was very strong with fender washer gripping a lot of plastic. ------------- Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk

Are you talking about morter tube on right side with the white ribbed control panel?

Congratulations to all for sharing some great stories! This was a close one! Enjoy the book Dave!

Sorry I don't. It was a one off for my pack. I just shared incase anyone wanted to build one. Shawn(Crooknight) could probably help you out. He makes all the goodies for packs. Give him a PM or he might be along and see himself. Good Luck!

I found it at Joanne's Fabric when I made mine. As for a pattern I don't see anything. It really looks like canvas with a different feel. Softer. I added a plastic strip inside to stiffen it. If the belt you have is 2 1/4"-2 1/2" wide I'm sure you're good to go. Maybe Joseph or Tony should be PM'd this question. So you can put it to rest. Good Luck fellow Commander!

Actionsdower Requesting Pre Approval Review (RS)
magni replied to Actionsdower's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
I'd like to make a few points here. It's nice to offer help when you're a master builder here but take in consideration that this recruit is new and nervous and is dealing with a commissioned set. So his building expertise is limited. Your post came in kinda HOT and didn't end well with saying another Troopers idea is " Stupid" Remember, Troopers helping Troopers! My other point is I have a friend who commissioned a set from RS and I helped him with final fitting for approval and I had to restitch all the snaps for him. RS doesn't put much stitch to them. Really just enough to get it out the door. Learning to fix your armor will come in time. Good Luck with fixes and approval! -
Twosolitudes Requesting Pre Approval Review (AP)
magni replied to Twosolitudes's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
We like never say this, like ever. To me your belt is to high. It's completely covering the lower button. It will probably get by your GML but you should lower it a bit. All your other fixes look great! Good Luck! -
Those look good. I used foam to pad mine. I can only say from my experience that wearing everything gets Heavy( No Pun ) as the day goes on. Some events I fill pouches with individually wrapped Twizzlers(Licorice) and hand out to little fans. Keep up the good work!

GilesWoodward Requesting Pre-approval Review (Anovos)

Pass!........................ ..NEXT!! Great job! Definitely a pass no problem. When you go for EIB Joseph will say tuck that belt a little higher and get them drop boxes out to edge of plastic belt. I won't say it! Well done Future Trooper! -
You prove a Pretzel stays fresh after 2 yrs! Congrats Brother!

Welcome to the FISD Chris! Alan gave you the go-to spot to find your armor. My advice is check out the different brands and see what will fit your body size. The info is there and choosing the right set is important. A good way to see how it could look on you is check some applications in the Advanced Tactics section of the armor your interested in. The brand will be in bars like [ ]. Each applicant posts their height and weight. Good way to see how it fits on them and possible you. This is a great hobby! But not cheap. But when your finished the joy is priceless. There's plenty of great people here and in Florida so reach out and do some research and you'll be in the best suit you'll ever wear in no time. Good luck Future Trooper!

TK Commander in 2018 - assembly question
magni replied to rapstertee's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
From the talks for TKC CRL changes. I am understanding that overlap is required for level 3 if the armor brand supports it. Some brands don't have all the raised ridges allowing for it. So If you can do it. Do it. I used WTF and his is ANH style. So no overlap. But I achieved Centurion! I like to think that Centurion is more on how you present the best looking rendition of the Trooper you can. Not that you put some detail in the exact spot to the mm. Glad to see the recent influx of Commanders in progress. Last time I looked I believe there's only 60 in the Legion. So plenty of room to boss around some TK's! -
Great progress so far. Except for glove ripping Not sure if you're aware but belt is on the narrow side compared to the normal 3" width. Mine is 2 1/4" wide. Keep the updates coming Commander!

Your fine with how they sit. Walt's ears run a little short so they wont go higher. You're doing good after the easy switch of ears. Could your brow trim be a little longer? It would be great to get it to end of trap but if you already trimmed it a bit short just make sure its spaced evenly. Walt's kit will be perfect for you. Just take your time study Crickets thread and ask any questions. Only dumb question is one not asked. Oh, and relax and enjoy the experience, it's only plastic! Keep up the good work!

Congratulations! Can you cover my shift! -
Looking foward to next video!

As long as you didn't trim to much you should still be ok. If it's only missing by a little bit Figure what you need for a bigger coverstrip for the back. If it's a good size difference increase front up to say 20mm and see what you would need in back. Whatever size you do in front you should do same atleast for front of forearm to keep uniform look. Do a tape mock up with compression shirt on and post some photos so we can give you the best advice.

FarEast Pre-Approval Request ANH TK Stunt (SDS)
magni replied to FarEast's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
Your shins in back look like they both close in same direction. The right one needs to close to the inside. -
Congratulations! Welcome to the 501st!!
