  1. Hi! I have a question hopefully someone can help with... I am wondering what the best thing to "fill out" the magazine pouches would be. I purchased the canvas ones, but they are pretty flat looking. Yes, the best thing would be actual magazines, but I am on a budget. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. On a side note, any close up photos of the pouches being worn would be great as a reference. Many thanks!
  2. Just a quick note... If you decide to go with the 3 bump ears bars, you can try ATA. I believe they run about $13.00 or so for the set of 2. Might save you a lot of work if you decide to go EIB or Centurion.
  3. I got caught in this guy's trap when I bought my first set of armor. HORRIBLE! The bucket was the size of a Volkswagon! I did think briefly about selling the helmet by itself as a "Star Wars baby bathing tub", but it was too big.
  4. Yeah, I agree, Romen. I was seriously thinking about going, but could not find a source for a Hawaiian print cod and butt plate..
  5. Much appreciated, Germain, juste ce qu'il me fallait!
  6. Thanks, Steve! Do you have any contact info. for them? THANKS!
  7. Hi! This is going to seem a little bit (or a lot) nuts, but does anyone know where I can purchase a DLT-19 kit? I tried one maker, but I simply cannot afford $495.00. And, Doopydoos no longer ships these kits to the U.S. "Make your own", you say.... Easier said than done! I have seen all the tutorials, and while they are fantastic, I don't have the proper woodworking tools, or the blueprints/templates for this. I am looking to spend around $250.00, if this is feasible. I am eventually shooting for HWT, (just started my back-pack), and think this would be a great addition. Thanks in advance for all info. !!!
  8. Hi! I am ready to attach my drop boxes, but have 3 questions if I may... 1. I know that it aligns with the outside of the ammo belt, but how far down does it need to hang? (I am sure I saw a Billghag diagram, but I can't seem to find it). 2. Will this type of setup (photo) pass all levels? I cut it down to the required 10mm thickness, but I think this looks better than a rivet. Will change if needed. 3. I plan on using heavy duty snaps to attach them to the belt, this way I can remove them so I can change to a HWT as needed. Again, will this pass all levels of TK? Many thanks for all your help!
  9. Received my boots from Imperial a while back, and am VERY happy with them. They ship from China, but are pretty quick, (10 days for mine), and great communication from the seller. There is a thread under "Boots' Soft parts, and Accessories" about them. Hope this helps!
  10. Thanks for the link, Tim!
  11. A lot of the build will depend on how much you want to "mod" it. Some go for just the basic build, but you can go crazy accurate if you like, as I did. There are MANY fantastic tutorials on here to choose from, and I would recommend checking a few out, and gleaning what you like from each. The main 2 I used were by Dark CMF and Bulldog44, but again, there are lots that have great info. and tips, it just depends on how far you want to go with it. After deciding on this, I would try to buy/order everything you can in advance. That way, when you receive it, you will have your supplies in place, and can get started immediately. Take your time, do your research, ask questions if you need, (lots of great folks on here), and most importantly, HAVE FUN! All the best!
  12. Just what I needed to know! I'm doing the recommended 24 hrs. with the E3k, but now I am thinking that I may be able to attach the outer cover strips 6-8 hours after the inner ones. These rare earth magnets are unbelievable! I appreciate the info!
  13. I am starting this build as soon as Amazon gets my supplies delivered, and doing it in conjunction with my TK build. (Gotta have something to keep me out of mischief while E600- dries). I was wondering if the round opening in the back scratches the OII section of the back plate? If so, would you recommend opening the hole up a bit to where the OII actually fits inside, and perhaps padding the inside edges/back? Also, (again with the questions), would it be permissible to use a slightly wider strap, and maybe adding some thin "backpack" style padding to them? Just wondering...... "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back"! Thanks!
  14. Was not sure what forum to post this in, but just found out that the Disney Fantasy cruise ship will be having Star Wars cruises starting in Jan., 2016 through April. They will feature the following: 1. Immersive entertainment for Padawans and Younglings. 2. Exclusive screenings of all 6 SW films. 3. Jedi training academy experience 4, SW themed arts and crafts. 5. Night clubs set up as Mos Eisley cantina for the adults. 6. SW celebrities and insiders on each sailing. 7. SW Deck party. 8. Unique merchandise, activities, etc. Guests are "Encouraged to dress up in their own stellar costumes". Most SW characters (Imperial and Rebel scum) will make multiple appearances. Not sure if everyone knows about this, (it's nice to have a spouse who works for The Mouse), but though I'd share. Not sure if I can get my E-11 through customs, though!
  15. Many thanks to you both! I know a lot of AM 2.0 kits were sent out recently, and hopefully this will help someone else as much as it did me. Going to check out your build right now, (and the Darth Vorhess).
  16. Looks GREAT, Tony! I especially like the backpack.. Did you find the T21 on here, or do you have a source?
  17. SWEET! After re-reading the HWT CRLs, I noticed that the ammo pack is worn on the right side. Now I am thinking I could install removable drop boxes, and use my TK belt, since the holster is on the left side. I think I pretty much have my E-11mod nailed, after following Dark CMF's build, and adding an all new power cylinder area. Thanks for the info., Steve!
  18. Hi! Well, it looks as if ukswrath has convinced me to do a HWT build, (to use at least part time). As soon as my armor is finished, I will start on the backpack, and get the ammo packs ordered. My problem is that all I have is an E-11, and I think that would look, well, strange. On the CRL, it says it IS an "accessory" option, but since I cannot seem to find a source for a resin DLT 11 kit without re-mortgaging my house, I am kind of stuck. If it IS acceptable, do I keep the holster on the belt alongside the ammo packs?? (I have a spare ABS belt with no drop boxes I was going to use especially for HWT). I appreciate any and all input!
  19. Hi! I received my AM 2.0 armor yesterday, and am very happy with it! Just a few questions, though... I noticed that the face-plate has a large ridge on the top. My concern is that when I "dry-fit" it together, it looks as if the brow seal will fit WAY too high. Also, there is a small "bump" on the bottom of the left eye opening. I think I read someplace on here that that is normal. (Or did I dream that)? LOL AM was kind enough to send me 2 sets of tube stripes, but, since I am shooting for Centurion, I am going hand painted. The photo shows that the small size is Stunt, the larger size is Hero. My problem is that the painting templates I ordered look like Hero, (large), and I am doing a Stunt build. Any and all help/info./suggestions would be appreciated. P.S., I have done a LOT of diligent research in the last few months, but I will still have more questions if I can't find something in the forums. Thanks for bearing with me!
  20. Thanks for making my day, that was GREAT!
  21. In a word, outstanding! I have 2 questions, though, Tony... First, the CRLs for HWT say that the helmet, etc., should be "lightly scuffed". Is there a way to get that effect without making it permanent? Second, It also mentions the MP-40 ammo pouches. What is the mounting specs for those? Thanks again!
  22. WOW! That is truly scary... The strange thing is, I work with PVC pipes on a regular basis, and use them for hot-water feed lines directly from water heaters. RS uses 1.5 mm, and the pipes I use are less than 3mm. Most peculiar....
  23. Hi! Well, today is "Big Brown Box" day, at last! I was thinking of starting by cutting the cover strips first, but have read 2 different opinions concerning this. I believe the standard is 15mm for the forearms/biceps, and 20mm for the front/rear of the calves. I have read that some go 20 for the thighs, and some go 25, but was wondering if this is just a matter of personal preference, or can it affect EIB or Centurion status. Side note: I will be using painters' tape to cover areas where I don't want to get any E6000, but (as often happens), it gets where it doesn't belong. How difficult is it to get glue off of ABS? Thanks for any and all input... Much appreciated!
  24. Perfect timing and GREAT idea! I am about to be doing several dozen of these over the next few days. Thanks!
