  1. Way to go, John, and welcome to the ranks! Outstanding job, sir!!
  2. Outstanding, folks... simply outstanding. Thank you for sharing this!!!!!!!
  3. Great job, Ryan! You have a few small issues, but you will have your Centurion application in faster than you know it! Congrats, sir!
  4. Welcome to the ranks, Kyle! (Awesome photo, by the way)!!
  5. Wayne, your timing could not be better! The FISD recently posted a thread called FISD E-11 Blaster Reference. Go to the Weapons Locker area, and click on ANH Blastech E-11. You will find an absolute wealth of information there, and it is laid out perfectly. Good luck on your build, and it's not as hard as you might think!
  6. Great idea about the radio chatter coming from the pack, Jonathan! Can't believe no one has thought about that yet. I don't know if the CB hand speaker would be a good idea, though, as it is may not pass HWT approval, but the thought of having radio static actually coming from the pack has definitely grabbed my interest. Keep us up to date!
  7. I have seen several others use these exact same boots, Cody. They obviously will need some work, but should be just fine for initial approval once they are shiny and white. There are a few topics on here that will let you know what products have worked best to strip them down and paint them. Hope this helps!
  8. Good choice on the ATA, Omar. I have purchased armor pieces from them on several occasions, and always been more than happy with it. Plus, their customer service is awesome!!
  9. Pretty sweet, Jay, and a great idea!!
  10. I think you forgot to post the photo!
  11. Looking great, Josh, and brilliant idea with the foot pedal!
  12. I've never heard of one shattering, and I can promise you they are repairable. If it were to get a chip in it, you can mark it up to "battle damage". A lot of it will depend on how you put it together... some people use super-glue, some use E-6000, or a combination of both. You can also use hidden pins, as in Darkcmf's build thread. (That thing is built like a TANK)!
  13. I think you have this one nailed, sir. GREAT job!!!
  14. The resin kit E-11s are just fine for trooping, Wayne. They are fairly lightweight, and, like I was saying, can be modded to look incredibly realistic. The only downside I have found is that occasionally someone will ask "Can I hold your gun?" for a photo, and it may cause some damage if they should drop it. Otherwise, I would say that 99% of the people who build one use it for trooping.
  15. Madness... simply madness. I LOVE it!!!
  16. Hola... I was hoping someone could help me out by explaining how to post Links. Occasionally I like to reference another thread, photo, or article, so instead of posting something like: "Go to the "Getting Started" section, then click on the subject "blah blah blah", then scroll down to the 8th reply...., I'd like to be able to link it directly to the post. I'm sure it's pretty easy and straightforward, but I am having difficulty figuring it out. Any help would be most appreciated!
  17. Am I missing the photos?
  18. I posted a thread in the "Getting Started.. Read this first" section called "Supply list for your TK build". It covers pretty much everything you will need for your armor build. Hope it helps!
  19. Josh is absolutely right, Richard. But, like he said, glue (even E-6000) will make it difficult to change things in the future if you want to. I am not "shill" for SUGRU, but the thing I like about it is that it will stay in place forever, until you decide to change it.
  20. Wow.. I Think I may have ruffled a few feathers with my post on this subject. It would be interesting to hear opinions from other HWTs on this topic, or anyone interested in becoming one.
  21. I will second that, Jeffrey. When Charles does a project, he goes for the gusto, and nothing less.
  22. Wow, John... Great looking build! I honestly don't think I have seen such a perfect back/kidney connection, and your bucket paint is spectacular! The thing that stood out to me the most was your neck seal. Damn I an envious of that! I thought about a rubber type neck seal, but it gets a bit warm here in Florida at times, Yours looks like the perfect answer to that! I think you should have this nailed, and best of luck!!
  23. I have purchased two from Imperial_issue on ebay. GREAT quality, fast shipping. They run $38.00 shipped, and are made to fit in different sizes.
  24. As for the green film in the tube, Richard, it just looked entirely too flimsy to use, and seemed like it would be a nightmare to attach. I ended up ordering a set of hard plastic flat lenses, and attached them with SUGRU, which is kind of a cross between glue and Pla-Doh. Easy to do, and worked like a charm!.
