  1. These are often found near the entrance at Walmart. Note that it's not all Walmart that got these. There's just a small logo to color in black.
  2. Ah ah, good, I'll take some pictures :-)
  3. He proposed me to add (for a price) a PTT cable that works with it. I don't know how this works, sorry
  4. Woo hoo, good news ! It is possible to use a PTT switch with the RomFX, I talked about it with John, the maker of the kit. And I am on the waiting list for the RomFX, which is supposed to ship in a couple of weeks I will just need to make the magnetic part of it.
  5. It is exactly what I want to do, but I prefer not having a cord that runs on my arm. I will place the magnet in the glove, and the other part inside the armor. Thanks for the example !
  6. I hesitate a lot between RomFX and iComm ... I heard very good comments on RomFX, the only real downsides being its cost and availability ... What I want : - Use it only when I want (magnetic PTT) - Have the "shh" noise at the end of my talk Would I be ok with the iComm ? I read that it can have some issues sometimes, and it seems a lot of trouble to change batteries. It bothers me a lot, considering the price ...
  7. AP since December. Around 7-8 troops. A couple of minor scratches. Where pieces are touching there's a lot of... scuffs, is it the right word ? I did sleeves for all the pieces to minimize the scratches. I'm very happy with it :-)
  8. I would like to put the microphone on only when I need it, when touching my helmet with a hand, so if I cough or talk to myself (I know, I'm weird !) it is kept inside the helmet. I know iComm has a button you can push to do that, so I thought that since the RomFX cost a lot more it would also do that. How does the on/off microphone works on the RomFX ?
  9. Yeah it must be it ! But it's for iComm... Is it possible to do PTT with a RomFX kit ?
  10. I want to do something, but I don't know if it would work. I don't find what I want, but I'm pretty sure I saw something like that but I don't remember where ... I want to use a RomFX kit, but that only works when I want, so something "push to talk". But I don't want a button in my gloves, I want to put a magnet in my glove that activates the RomFX functions when I touch my helmet at a precise place. I KNOW I saw that somewhere !!! Does someone know what I'm talking about ? And I want to add to that an EAS kit for hearing what happens around me. I hope it all fit in my AP helmet
  11. While I'm building my blaster (it can take some time since I want to add electronics), I ordered another one from a contact of Mark from AP. It will eventually go to one of my children, for their armors. It's a resin one with a PVC tube. It looks great to me, but I'm not an expert for blaster Does it look ok enough to be approved ? With that blaster, I think I'm ready for my Expert Infantryman submission
  12. I wasn't able to do the parade, I thought it was a little too cold for my children in their costume (they wanted to participate), instead we did another one on Saturday. It looked really good !
  13. It's normal if you have trouble putting your head in it. You have to "screw" it on your head.
  14. Another picture I like, he's so tall !!! And no, I'm not too short to be a storm trooper
  15. It was a great day
  16. Seems ok to me. What's important is to make the hole as small as possible with your hand able to get in and get out, and enough space to put on the gloves.
  17. I see all your viril and manly passions, and here I am with my genealogy I'm doing my genealogy since 1997. My family kept a lot of pictures and stories from our ancestors, so I'm very lucky. I have pictures of all the people up to 3x great-grand-parents, and even higher in some branches. Recently I started a small "family pictures" website to host my family pictures, and let other people to do the same with their families. I'm also a videogame collector, but I don't have much time to play, and even to collect. In fact I practically stopped all of that, but I still love classic games ! Oh, and also gerontophilia
  18. Thanks ! I made some progress on the inside, I really like it. I should have cleaned the ABS dust, it looks very dirty ...
  19. Looks good ! But you should lower your thighs, they are too high, and even touch your back piece. If the thigh touche the torso pieces you will have a bad time trying to use stairs God, I miss grass so much
  20. Congratulations on your first troop ! I always find it funny to think that we all seem very serious from the outside and on the pictures, but inside I'm sure we all have a big smile in the face
  21. Looks good !
  22. Welcome to the club I got panic attack the first times I put it on ... I have to screw it on carefully to not panic each time.
  23. Is there someone from this forum that can help me ? I registered, and after that it tells me that I can't visit this forum, on every page of that ****** website. Can't log out, can't see any page. I'm stick with this user and I can't do anything. I don't want to delete all my cookies just for that ... When I look on the forum from Tapatalk, it says that I'm banned ! I don't want to create another user, I want to keep my username. And if I created another user (on another computer) I would still be stuck with my first account on my "regular" computer. Help ?
  24. You can go Centurion with an AP without problem, the only thing is to make the notches on the kidney plate. No overlapping needed at all.
