  1. Question on plastidip alone and plastidip with cheesecloth. Does it create any issues when tryin to stick Velcro on the inside of the helmet for helmet padding? I'd like to know if it does for either instance because I like the idea of being able to remove my padding via Velcro to give it a wash when it stinks
  2. The more i see this picture, the more I look like a giant LOL.
  3. Man talk about a quick post Scott That was a fun troop! The picture pretty much sums it up! Lol
  4. From that angle, it does not appear to be S Trim
  5. If ya happen to have MEK available, that bonds rubber to rubber. Just make sure you wear glove when handling it. It is some pretty nasty stuff
  6. I thought it was Armagedon....started hearing Aerosmith in the background for a bit
  7. Definitely not. On the CRL, blasters are optional, but that is only for basic approval. If you intend to go Centurion, I recommend getting the correct blaster from the beginning. I kind of went ahead and decided to build towards centurion during my armor build instead of before, and therefore i am now having to purchase a more accurate blaster to go down that road. Hope that helps!
  8. Looks good Scott! Was kind of hard for me to really evaluate your armor while i was wearing mine last night lol, but should be an easy pass in my eyes!
  9. Good looking armor! Should be an easy pass! No Gandalf here
  10. Check my build for sizing the armor down. Im a tad heavier than you, im 5'10 and 185 lbs. got it to fit me perfectly, with some trimming of course
  11. Must...have...Ep. VII TK...

  12. Looking good Nate! Only thing i could see is that your drop boxes should be a little more towards the edges of your plastic ammo belt. You want the edge of the drop boxes to line up with the edge of the belt. Nice clean build!!
  13. I want one nonetheless. It has to happen. We need better reference materials so armorers can get the ball rolling
  14. Yup! Having a container with pad lock spots is a must. Another tip, get a combination lock. That way you dont have to find a spot to hide your keys etc
  15. I just went to home depot and picked up a husky mobile job box for $50. I think usually they're $60
  16. I ended up buying dickies suspenders from walmart, they were $8 and just hook right onto my thigh garter. I won't have a "field test" until next weekend, but i am sure they will do the job. I would have just made some, but for $8 they should work just fine.
  17. Yeah mine was annoyed too LOL. Sounds like they'd get along! Good luck on your app! Although you won't need it IMHO
  18. ABOUT TIME!!! Lol seriously though, awesome build Rick! Your armor looks great!!
