  7. Well well well! Here we are! After months of gathering the required components to push my armor towards Centurion, THE TIME IS FINALLY HERE! During my initial build, my ultimate goal was Centurion, and it was built accordingly. Things i needed to take care of before application includes changing my chest and back to a more screen accurate set, get rubber or latex handguards glued onto a pair of rubber chemical gloves, and replace my Hasbro conversion E-11 with a more accurate one. So, without further adue, away we go! 8. Not required, but after having my AM helmet left white, i decided on the plastidip+cheesecloth for my AP helmet. MAN what a difference! It helps make the lens darker with a black interior, and just looks awesome imho. But, it is completely up to you. When i did my helmet, i did it with the eyes cut out and the frown as well. If you do decide to paint it black, i highly recommend at least using plastidip. If you happen to get any in places you don't want, it will easily peel off once dry. Just something to think about
  9. Get a "blower fan" aka squirrel fan. Don't waste your time with the cpu fans as they do nothing but circulate air, whereas the blower fan will cool you and circulate air
  10. I..would...freeze...my...butt plate off..great job troopers! Thanks for sharing Eric!
  11. I trimmed mine slightly. I think out of the box they measure a little under 7.5" I cut mine to closer to 7.35" I believe
  12. To Mathius you listen
  13. Ditto with Andrew. My first attempt at dry brushing was yesterday. If you want to just "slightly weather" the blaster, i recommend using testors "flat steel". If you really want parts of the blaster to show weathering, i would go with silver. I may go back and use silver on just the edges of the ammo clip, tip, sights, and end cap. I personally chose flat steel because if you do a base coat of silver before the final flat black, your blaster will weather naturally over time trooping. So a little weathering done now, with the additional weathering trooping
  14. Get it berbs get it! Can't wait to see it completed and in person!
  15. Ditto with Tim! Will be following this one for sure!
  16. From my job knowledge, you should be using high speed steel drill bits to drill through metal, with a low rpm. You might try pecking the drill as well instead of just a straight plunge(unless thats what your doing already).
  17. It was a good thought in theory! But eye concur with Eric. Although that may work for a thigh garter system
  18. Ebay sir, ebay. New egg also has them, but they are more expensive
  19. Congrats!!! My application should be in this weekend!
  20. Yup, its one of those things i heard floating around so it may not be the case. But it might be! Dun dun duuuuuuuuun
  21. Or was it the llamas coming in on bikini clowns? Still...recovering
  22. I think 360 and ps3 will be discontinuing new releases this year
  23. Yup, cut away at the notches. They are only there to help position the ear, and don't effect the overall quality of your helmet. My AP helmet did not have notches on it at all, unlike my AM helmet. BUT I fully recommend keeping the notches, but trim them some if you need to
