  1. You can iron the chest plate to get a new return edge after cutting it. Not sure how this type of iron is called, but in germany it's used for plastic foil. ---------- I know several members who did that quite successful
Falls du irgendwelche Fragen hast, schieß einfach los! Hier findet man Antworten auf fast alles. Liebe Grüße aus Nürnberg, Danny
  3. I once tried to make a mold for vacuum pulling a helmet myself. Together with a friend I worked weeks on that mold and it would never be perfect. It will be the same with your helmet. You need to find the level on which you're satisfied. It's impossible to get it perfectly done like an original one. So make it as good as it pleases you, nothing more. Hope that helps
  4. Well... there is an original one for sale right now ----------- 600$
  5. I've moved this to the E-11 Discussion section as it doesn't really fit into "technical support"

  7. Exactly. One part is out of brass, the other out of grey plastic. So if you want te be really accurate, you should make grey color look through.
  8. Awesome paint job! Those tube stripes are a hell of a work but it looks more than fine.
  9. congratulations, trooper! looking forward to some amazing troop reports!
  10. Very proud of you! This is why we we do this. It may be hard, but it's worth it and helps the family to get a little of their strength back. Good job, trooper!
  11. The original handle was made of "Bakelit" which is black and glossy. It's not painted, it's just the regular material color. I have some orginial grips here, they look like this: It's more or less glossy. Pretty much scuffed.
  12. Great to see, you've been to an armor party! That's the best way to get some first hand information. Your choice on the armor kit and boots is great. Are you making the canvas belt, holster and neckseal yourself? If you're looking for silicone handplates: @justjoseph63 is making them, just PM him and he'll have more detailled information.
  13. I usually wear some thin silk gloves underneath the rubber gloves Makes it much better during hot summer troops.
  14. Awesome! Looking forward to see some brand new troop reports https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/13-field-training-exercises/
  15. With my old armor kit, I had the cod plate split from the abdomen plate. It's comfortable for when you gotta pee. But that's pretty much it. For height adjustment I'd recommend the more accurate method of cutting the chest plate, like Mathias advised. With my newer armor, I decided to leave it as one piece, for accuracy reasons.
  16. looking forward to that build thread! The capped ABS is really glossy. Most other troopers have more of a creamy off-white look.
  17. Looking good! Good luck my friend.
