  1. they did, but not very successfully. David Ashcroft (the guy behind TKUK) posted several times in this thread:
  2. looks like they are still working on improving their kit: http://www.tkarmour.com/2018-armour
  3. I got an E-11, so no worries
  4. People I helped on their armor builds, that are now EIB/Centurion: TK-14469 Sascha Raabe @Darth Raveen I guess we'll never forget the mess I created with your belt Also helped to reinforce the broken brackets and some other minor issues before applying EIB & Centurion. (definitely took us more than 30 minutes hands-on, I even had to stay overnight ) TK-30087 Jochen Till @Jochensen We literally spent days in his office to build that armor. And just because we were in mood, we built a second one within 10 days only for the celebration orlando Troopathalon contest (that second one was buildt to dress as quickly as possible, most of the strapping using magnets) [more to come....] Got some more troopers out there I helped a lot with their build, but they still have to make their EIB applications. (TK-55015, TK-50893, TK-11699, ...)
  5. As Brien already mentioned, there are some minor details to get to higher levels that need adjustment. For the approval process with your local GML, fixing the lose belt should be fine. If you do all those adjustments now it is fine and mostly appreciated, but not necessary for basic approal. But it's only a small step to get Expert Infantry and Centurion Status with that armor. You've done excellent work, building it! Good luck with your approval and hope to see you soon in the advanced tactics section!
  6. Congratulations and hope to see you on Expert Infantry! Don't forget to request 501st access to see the hidden boards: And... have fun trooping!
  8. What will you use it for?
  9. Oups. I got my EIB today with only the DLT-19 lucky me.
  10. Haha, lol - thanks for the review I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I won't clean that helmet head-bump. It's my distinctive mark on every photo and everyone of my squad knows exactly that this is my helmet. I've got a white sharpie, so the screws are a 5 minutes fix Same for the eye trimming. I'll have my first troop in that armor on saturday and will have a look on the posterior and shoulder strapping. Afterwards, you'll get new pics for centurion application!
  11. In my experience there is no such thing as luck.
  12. @Felice is a real expert on baptys. there is also a bapty building group on facebook. -------------
  13. the rest of the world divides through ten...
  14. No, please don't remove it. Just correct it. It's very useful to the 90% of the world, that use metric units instead of imperial. There are only 3 countries in the world that didn't adopt the metric system yet: Liberia, Myanmar and the USA... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metrication#Conversion_process
  15. Top Right Vent Box has a mistake. 6" and 7" can't both be 18cm 6" should be about 15cm.
  16. No, it's allright. Have a look on the strapping image: the cut out notches are on the right place. Just looks a bit unusual because of the missing shims. I'd recommend you to affix your belt with snaps on the front. This way it can't slide down. Other than that, you look great!
  17. There is a Sandtrooper CRL, if that is what you mean. You can find the Sandtrooper Detachment at www.mepd.net There is no armor out of the box, that is automatically approved by the 501st. It also depends on how the armor fits the wearer. Example: someone with a height of 190cm builds a perfect armor and gets 501st approval. Later he sells the armor to a guy with 170cm body height. Logically the armor must now be approved again by one of our membership officers, because it won't fit the smaller guy If you don't like the weathering and only like the "heavy" look, we also have the Heavy Weapons Trooper. Here is the list of FISD costumes: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:FISD_CRL and the list of MEPD costumes: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:MEPD_CRL Best regards
  18. RS propmasters has an original screen used suit which makes it probably the most accurate kit. You can have a look on their kits at www.rspropmasters.com In our gallery there is a section with the original RS suite. I think troopermaster is the most accurate fanmade kit.
  19. Looking forward to it, but I'm still waiting on my EIB approval
