  1. Holly molly! Great job
  2. aww, sucks to hear man. I'm fighting the fight myself and i've seen a few others post about not going. There's always next year. Hopefully its here again
  3. If you have a Jo-anns or Michaels, they usually have 40-50% off coupons in their adds or on retailmenot.com I went there for the e-6000, Heavy Duty Velcro, foam cushon for inside helmet, super glue, etc. Also, theres Harbor Freight for cheap equipment and always have lots of discount coupons, however keep your recept because some of their stuff is..cheap, but they always let you return them with recept.
  4. Your lady should have nothing to be paranoid about.
  5. maybe in a styrofoam container, to make it liter. only thing is, will the bulkness fit the back plate? or where were you planning on putting it? It would be a great idea, especially if you can put multiple tubes to cool your chest as well.
  6. On top of what everyone has been saying, for the chest plate, you can heat bend the side wings to make them more form fitting. Also, you need to switch sides on the forearms (correct me if i'm wrong). A good build you can check out is Fuumantroop's, he trimmed down a lot of his armor pieces to better fit his form (looks like he might be your height). This link is where he started working on his ab buttons, I myself went the screw on buttons: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28115-fuumantroops-am-armor-build/page-13 He's a really cool guy, feel free to pm him or myself if you want more help on your armor. I like the new back plate!
  7. He's going to come back to this: --------------
  8. Dude! Thats Pretty awesome!
  9. I wasn't fortunate enough to see much builds with my armor type, but what you can try doing is looking peoples armor submissions then see if they have a link to their build. Here is one (it was the first ATA I seen and he has a link to his build): http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29641-tk-85421-requesting-esb-stunt-eib-statusataapproved/ Also, you can post pictures of where you are at so far and ask to see if that is good enough. I myself and im sure 90% of the members were super scared to make the cut, you can even look at my build (AM) and see that I posted that I was too scared to touch the awesome shiny parts. Hope this helps.
  10. Nice, you got the new back plate. Ill follow you and try to help you out if I can. Enjoy the build!
  11. Post some pics, remember that you have to leave some room at the bottom to allow the boots to go in. Mine worked out fine, and I also have the "he skipped leg day" legs. and make sure to post the pics here, and not just links.
  12. That was one of the main problems I had with my helmet. I think you have to re-adjust the left side. I ended up removing that top part of the face (lip) because I thought it was putting pressure, but many left it alone.
  13. Maybe now you can be a Stormtrooper version of the black knight....
  14. Ok, I decided to re-adjust my top half, especially if i'm going to be trooping. one of the things that would bother me is the neckpart rubbing against my throat. the left and right top flaps (technical term) curve and sit comfortly on my shoulder but looks like I need to trim down the neckline. I talked to Fuumantroop a while ago when building my armor but finally taking that step. I'm going to heat bend the ridge thingy a little more, also. Nice work.
  15. What did you trim down on the chest? Your backplate fits perfect.
  16. Can't wait for your kit. everything looks awesome!
  17. Have you tried getting the sound amplifiers (or whatever their called)? the fans will help with the fogging up, from what I hear, it also helps to leave a gap on the visors to let air come in throught there as well. Also, do you have padding at the top? maybe its too much padding leaving your eyes towards the bottom of the visors. I start my first troop next month and my main worry is my helmet (AM), I've been moving everything around. my main problem was the battery packs, I had them attached on the back making the front of the helmet slide up. So far I've positioned im on the sides and installed a chin strap.
  18. Hey Tim, Any updates?
  19. Light at the end of the tunnel. Wish I would have gone to an event to check it out. I'mg going to do my first troom next moth and already starting to worry. Good thing is that we have a garrison meeting in 2 weeks, helps me get to know everyone.
  20. Hey Hideki, Your armor looks great, the only thing I noticed was your TD clips, they need to be squared not rounded. and I don't know if its the lighting but the split rivets on your ab/kidney and the cap rivets on your thigh belt look a little light grey, they need to be white.
  21. I think they just call them Strapping Brackets. You can buy some on the Ongoing Sale section. I believe they are made from piano cords and I could swear theres a How-to topic in the How-to section. Hope this helps.
  22. Hey Brandon, I don't think that chest piece needs to be that high up, you can lower that. Maybe you can also make the cut at the cod and expand it by shimming it? hopefully the belt can cover the expansion. Try looking under the EIB requests to see if you can see someone your size with your armor type. Hopefully an expert can help you better.
