  1. Yea, it's difficult finding them, It's even harder finding them my size in length. Prices at REI are usually steep but its because you can return anything even after you wear them out (I'm too embarrassed to do that though) Thank you. I tried Walmart, Marshalls and Ross before anywhere else, they're my go to for best prices. At Marshalls I usually find exercise gear for $3 but these are rare in men's department. Thank you.
  2. Hey just wanted to see if these bottoms are good to wear for trooping. Looks like a good deal. http://www.rei.com/product/817411/rei-airflyte-basic-tights-mens#descriptionTab
  3. You should first contact the armor makers and see what the prices are before you go on low budget and Ebay. I had to save for 2 years (I have kids) before finally being able to get mine. Thats 2 years of recycling cans, saving coins, unwanted overtime at work and having to hide it from my wife.... before you know it, you will be waiting for that big brown box as I am right now. Best of luck
  4. Its looking awesome though.
  5. Hey, im sure you've seen it but here's some guys armor and what he did with his helmet. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27629-infecting-walker-stalker-boston/
  6. My brother and I went with AM, and I just read that this run is sold out so you are not alone in getting one. We should be able to see a lot more AM armor builds coming in. Im not the type to post my progress but im going to do my best to do so. The only thing you should worry about is the building, that's where i'm at. Im wigging out every day closer to shipment.
  7. Just wanted to wish a happy fathers day to all the dads out there.
  8. Yea I agree with Tim, just do a search for "requesting" and you will see a lot of submissions with the armor tags. just gona take a bit of searching to find some one close to your body type. Also theres this post under getting started: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/12693-which-armour-is-better-for-a-bigger-trooper-read-here/
  9. This is gona be sick!! I was wanting to do something like this after my first build or two. Why dont you try asking around to see if anyone has broken parts they are willing to give you. Good luck, ill be following.
  10. How could you go to work after something as exciting as this?! Should have called in and said you have the McBubblies.
  11. That thing is sold out
  12. Hey Tim, Sometimes those tags don't work, i've tried searching them and it will come back with nothing . The worst part is when searching for just "AM" it gives you almost every posting on the forums because people reply in the morning or there's an "am" in a word. Ron's method works more effectively with just google searching it.
  13. Here's Pandatrooper's: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/10434-pandatroopers-am-build-threadam/ Please post if you find anything else, im expecting mine this month as well.
  14. Thanks for the help and suggestions, everyone.
  15. Hey Everyone, I'm currently working on the bolt and handle and need some help. I just got done sanding out a wider opening for the handle to fit through, now I need help with attaching it to the bolt. Im wanting to use it for trooping, so i'm assuming I should screw it on. Any ideas on how and what type of screw? Removing that extra piece at the bottom of the handle will make it look very small with the thickness of the tube, so I would like to keep it. unless you guys dont think it looks good with it. Thanks for your help.
  16. LOL. Well the second link should be a big hint on not getting it. They photoshoped the left side of the helmet (3rd pic)
  17. Even though you've already started, is it possible to take video while building? Dont see many of those around.
  18. I get a lot of my running gear from Ross or Marshals, they always have compression gear for dirt cheap the last one I got was $2.00
  19. Thanks, Well my questions were more like asking for a closer look at the armor and blaster. Seeing the detail personally is Way different and better than pics and gives me a better prospective. *Sigh* Well, maybe next time. Thanks to you guys for being there, you guys made little school girls of us.
  20. cool! I had told myself to make sure and ask questions and take a closer look at the armor and blaster, so I know what I'm dealing with when mine comes in. what was the question I asked? "can we take a pic with you" lol. We even seen you again with the scout trooper and we did this as you guys walked bye lol.
  21. Hi, Im not much of a picture taking guy but I was at least able to take a picture with my brother and a trooper. I got to ask some questions to a 501st rep, however I didn't get to completely check out the armor or the blasters (too excited).
