  1. As Adam said, photos would help, or links to the ebay listing. And welcome!
  2. Good job. Nothing that a bit of epoxy and filler can't fix! Wiser men have put things on upside down before (haven't they Tim?) hehe
  3. I have that problem too with photos on the iPhone. I stick to regular camera now....
  4. Lots of swearing/cursing seems to help too.
  5. Did you realise you've got your cylinders on back to front? Also try to hollow out me of your mag well, or shorten the magazine to get that further into the well. It should be right up to the flat part of the clip.
  6. I assume you found all the little set screws on the scope? There was about 6 on mine. The thread on my outer retaining screws was also stuffed. Managed to get them out but I'm struggling to get them in again....
  7. I just puttied up mine to make single slots, then painted.
  8. Awesome workmanship! Looks amazing. It would be a shame to lose the detail of the bolt and the rear spring though.
  9. Awesome work guys. It's also making the all the local papers, so doing well to get our message out there.
  10. Looks like I'll never find out. Reply posted on the for sale thread, PM sent. Still no reply...
  11. Haha, I was going to warn you.....
  12. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29118-alternate-t-track-supplier/ I think you'll find most of them in the for sale section here.
  13. Great looking build. I like the way you've put imitation 'screen accurate' brackets in, but used strapping and snaps for actual fixing. Just some fitment ideas to consider - the twisting of the thighs as Scott mentioned, and not sure if you can stop the butt riding up over the kidney by tightening up those straps perhaps. Good luck and congrats!
  14. Good recovery on the end lug!
  15. That would be a good way Germain. As it happened I found a few things quite worthy of testing. Left to right - (1) Found and tested last, the end of a pair of Vice Grips (2) Round file, pressed on opposite ways (3) grip of the Tamiya craft saw a few of us recently bought (4) something I found lieing around (5) grip of a exacto knife I'm leaning towards the knob from the Vice Grips - Number 1 on the left. The scaleof it should look ok.
  16. I think yours looks fantastic Brian! I'll roll out some green stuff and do a couple of tests tonight of whatever tools I have and see what looks best...
  17. Ok, I think I have it back to front. From this pic (posted by Vern in Gazmosis' thread) it shows the knurling say 3/4 down at the back, but only 1/3 or so down the front, similar to Aaron's pic above. I've even misread Tino pics in his thread as to which was front and back. Looks like I've got some repair work to do, so may aswell hunt down a better knurling tool before I do...
  18. Question for Aaron, seeing as this picture is his personal blaster - I notice the knurling on the guard stops about 1/3 down, whereas previous discussions, most prominent in Gazmosis' build thread, was that the knurling was about 2/3 down on the front and 1/3 down on the rear. Can you confirm any irregularities with your item, or in general? Or of course, anyone please chime in if you can also help in general. Thanks
  19. I thought of that Brian, but this picture (thanks Aaron - usaeatt2) shows that they're more square indents in a diagonal pattern, rather than diagonal lines indented - if that makes sense. Hmmm, could I have used my centre punch but with a diagonal application?? Will check that when I get home.... Oh, the knurling on the hobby knives/saws perhaps.
  20. One item would have to be the front muzzle. Second item - Give me a clue. Can you see it on my build yet? Do you recommend I wait and not to apply too much Epoxy Hmmm, On second looks - is it a clue that you have the rear lug and a set of cylinders/capacitor thingos poking out the rear of the boxes.
  21. Welcome and nice looking armor! I would try to minimise that elbow gap though (oh no, I'm starting to sound like Germain ). Much better to have more gap at the wrist, than elbow. See reference pics
  22. That's awesome Derrek. And I guess that's what we're all about here - trying to find ways to improve what we have today so we can all have better tomorrow. Keep up the great work!
  23. You will probably end up paying more buying in 2 stages, but a lot of makers do sell separate components if you want to spread the cost. Warning though. Once you start you won't want to stop so you may aswell just order the whole thing straight away
