  1. I think Jared is asking whether the 10mm is to the edge of the hole, or to the centre of the hole. Jared, I couldn't find a definitive answer either when I did mine. I just eyeballed it. First off, I did a 10mm centre but it visually looked too close, so I just pushed it in a little. This shot of the RS suit shows placement. Unfortunately, no tape measure on it Edit - Hmm, pic didn't copy across. Oh well, check out the photo reference gallery
  2. Its another one of those "in the real world....." Those gloves do look good and would probably be the choice of 'real' stormtroopers.
  3. Mine is basically 9 x 9. So a bit wider than yours but the same front to back
  4. Has Derrek changed his name to Phoenix Props? His for sale thread is still DVH....
  5. Haha, yeah, yeah.... I think all I need is to redo the kidney notches. Must get round to pulling it out and doing it...
  6. Certainly go deeper on the outer sides. Keep going till it's even with the inner section and see how it looks. As long as you have some material thee it might be ok. Steady as she goes....
  7. Remember, nothing on the inside is mandatory for Centurion. Only the visible crotch snaps, side rivets, etc. Whether you use the wire loops and elastic or snaps and elastic/webbing, it's entirely up to you.
  8. Tandy Line 24 Snaps http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com.au/en-aud/search/searchresults/1263-15.aspx Rivets, etc http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23970-fs-centurion-level-rivet-sets/ Strapping, etc http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26477-what-we-know-about-strapping-snaps-rivets-etc/ That, together with looking at EIB and Centurion applications should get you out of trouble. I've never seen the eyelets, but as long as they're not visible, it probably doesn't matter. I would say the ABS will hold up pretty good without them.
  9. Not so subtle pick up line there, Andrew . Distance could be a problem for you... And I just read the origin of your user name. Andrew, Andrew, Andrew.....
  10. Yeah, looks like ZeroRoom hasn't been active for over 6 months. Shame. Would love to have seen this blaster finished.... Looks like some of our own innovations weren't so innovative now
  11. Many many moons ago, I signed up on a form as Sith Lord, because I like Star Wars and thought it was cool. I can't believe that I can keep signing up to forums, especially Star Wars based ones and Sith Lord is still available.... I think I had to drop the "i" on Blizzard Force though...
  12. And welcome to the FISD!
  13. I think the discussion was fairly well covered in the other thread. What help are you after? I can see 3 options for TK1024: 1. Return it 2. Sell it 3. Build it If option 3, then start a build thread and everyone will try to pitch in and help where they can.
  14. My first guard to glove glue attempt was a fail too. CA leaked all over the place, over my masking tape. No way I could get any off. However all the rubber (glove) did peel off the hand guards. Totally destroyed the gloves, but at $5- that was an acceptable sacrifice. Rip them off and start again.... I did mine one side at a time, and used the glue a little more sparingly.
  15. 3 each side! Sounds like 2 too many. Throw some my way
  16. They're the ones. Probably about $5.00 for a single pair from your local hobby/craft store too.
  17. Mine didn't come with any Sean. Whether that means not all are the same, or they have since been lost?? (Mine also didn't have the locating lugs on it). I do remember Aaron (usaeatt2) placing some new ones in his Steel Build and commenting about the colour of them... I hadn't really thought of it but I should try to source some sort of washer to install after I paint it. Cheers
  18. Depends what the Armor is made of?
  19. There's plenty of threads about "makerofthings" Yes, get some real boots. You don't need to spend $120 though. Painted cheaper ones are fine. The first thing that jumps out of me is the different colors. Although, being HIPS, does that mean the whole lot needs to be painted?
  20. Woo Hoo! I see photos!! It's very dark to see the details, but the positioning looks perfect. Great job.
  21. That's all I've got, and we get some pretty serious mid 30 degree days here in Canberra.
  22. Great progress Brian. Can't wait to see it complete.
  23. Love the fire shot! Good call Gaz! Could you also secure your drop boxes a bit better? Some shots show them outside the edge of the belt, some show them inside...
  24. Lol! Previous bad experience??? I did a few parts on my MTK. Boiling water from the kettle straight into the kitchen sink. Armor part straight into the sink. 5-10 minutes should be enough.
