1. I have AP and love it! You can use everything for 501st approval. The things I had to get were gloves, the hand guards, hovi tips, helmet visor lens and inner drop boxes for the belt. Except for the visor lens, all the other parts I mentioned were for meeting EIB and Centurion requirements. I replaced the lens because the one supplied didn't hide my eyes very well against camera light and sun light. I do have to mention if I remember right, I saw on here where AP was supplying the EIB/Centurion approval drop boxes and hovi tips now. All the things I mentioned, you can get from trooperbay.com or the for sale section.
2. Great pics! Love the BB8 race idea. Thanks for sharing!
3. Great newsletter. Thanks to everyone who works on it!
4. Sorry I'm late with the Congrats! Congrats
5. I posted this link on the Ohio Garrison forums and private FB page
6. Thanks...Don't know why haven't gotten on in awhile. Will try to change that!
7. Congrats guys!
8. Haven't been on in a while, hope its okay to come back in and join the fun....
9. Steve, hate to hear you are retiring but you will always be an inspiration to me and the many, many FISD members here!
10. I'll second what starsaber25 wrote. When you get your kit, you'll say like a lot of us have "what have I gotten myself into?" But once you get going, you'll find it easier than you thought! And even more fun than you thought. I suggest going ahead and getting in touch with your local Garrison. A lot of them have build parties where you can go and they help you do your build. You are already ahead of the game in that you've been researching. That's a very important tip....research. Ask any question you have, no matter what it may be. While waiting for your kit, go ahead and start collecting supplies....straps, Velcro, snaps, clamps, sharp hobby knife, metal ruler. I recommend e6000 glue. Strong but allows to take pieces apart for adjustments. You'll see people mention CA glue. It's good but it's very strong and wouldn't recommend it if you have little to no experience with it. Get plenty of tape and tape your armor pieces together before gluing to get good fitting and measurements. Take your time, measure twice and cut once and always have a fresh blade in your knife, helps making clean cuts. Good luck and FISD is always here to help you with your journey!
11. That's great your helping out your friend! Looking forward to the pics
12. Congrats and welcome to the centurion ranks!
13. Great build. Only suggestion I have is close up the gap between the back and kidney plates. You should be able to do that by adjusting your shoulder straps. You want as minimal space between them as possible.

Good luck!
14. Great newsletter!
15. Congrats on your first troop! To do it with not only fellow member but Orli and Nalini is awesome. Thanks for sharing
16. Check out trooperbay.com for some supplies like darker lens and s-trim. I did my AP build in about three months. Take your time, measure twice and cut once rule applies. I would recommend e6000 glue. Strong but allows you to take apart pieces for adjustments. You can get strapping, Velcro, snaps, clamps and other stuff at your local hobby stores. Most of all, have fun with it...

Hope you do a build thread. We love pics
17. Just go with a lot
18. Congrats and welcome to the EIB ranks. Hope to see you in centurion soon
19. Looks fine
20. How does it look from a short distance?
21. Nothing against CA glue but I'd suggest E6000 glue. It's strong but you can take pieces apart easier to make any adjustments. CA glue is pretty much permanent and not forgiving. Start with what you feel comfortable with. I started with the helmet then worked from the shins on up.
22. Nice build! Only thing that stands out is adjusting your kidney and abs sides so you don't have that V shape in between them. You can also add a strap in between on the bottom right side Good luck
23. You can find some personalized decals When you get your ID # on the 501st forum. Do a search for decals. I'd post link but the link is posting weird and leads nowhere. Trooperbay.com has some decals as well
24. Only thing that stands out is your right side abs is sitting weird with the kidney. Other than that, great build! Good luck
