  1. I am unable to enter my TK number in my profile editor so it shows in the badge area where it shows your garrison. Can you guys help me out? Thanks...
  2. We all can understand being nervous lol. I just finished my first armor a couple of weeks ago and was nervous. Just take your time, and remember that excitement. FISD is always here and people here are more than willing to help and give advise.... Good luck!
  3. I can't remember the grit numbers, my apologies, but it used light grit the get a smooth edge and then the lightest grit to finish it off. I picked up packs at a local hobby store and hey worked fine. This worked when I had to add ABS in between my kidney and abdomen plates and use ABS paste to cover up the seams. You can get Novus applicant to fix up any extra small scratches. I also rounded off sharp points that I know would dig into me. Hope that helps.
  4. That's awesome looking. Thanks for sharing. Going to do something like this! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Thanks Brandon.... Especially for the diagrams! For the thighs, sorry for any confusion. I mean should the thighs have the same butt joints like you show with the calves diagram? Thanks again....
  8. Hey everyone, Sorry if this is already out there but from what I've seen, I'm still confused. I am ready to do the cover strips and apply Velcro for the back of my thighs and shins, AP armor. Should the edges of the actual thigh pieces butt up against each other? Same for the shins? And then place the cover strip? Or can the joints overlap and the covers trip looks like it's covering the thigh joints and shin joints? I plan on using Velcro to hold each closed. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  9. Great thread. I'm getting ready to install my rivets.
  10. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. I am wondering if there can be or should be any kind of spacing between right legs ammo pack and the thigh armor or should the pack be flush up against the thigh armor? I assume flush up against but better safe than sorry. Thanks
  12. I never thought about sunny days and stuff. I'm doing my first armor build and except putting the fans in, I have my bucket done. Wish I had seen this before hand. Will think about still doing it. Thanks for idea :-)
  13. Why did you paint the inside of the helmet black?
  14. I found a combination of padding but I really like how you have yours. What are the tubes?
  15. Thanks a ton for what needs to be done and especially for the pictures. Thanks also Terry for asking about the Centurion spec...
  16. Thanks for sharing... I'm looking for ease of use and comfort. I never knew what the screen accurate foam was! I
  17. I've got the AP armor and there is a gap between the abs and kidney pieces on both right and left sides. I've read you can add shims to cover the gap. I'm wondering about that because there's the six rivets on the one side that need to be 10 mm from the edge. I know there's the other side but at this time, can't remember how many go on the other side but I know I can quickly find out. I can't find any pictures or make out in any pictures where it shows shims added or maybe you guys are just that good :-). Can some one give me some advice and/or have pictures that will help me out. This is my first build and want to do it right the first time.... Thank you in advance
  18. Thanks guys for the advice. I've seen ideas but sometimes it's hard to find the threads again when I don't save them
  19. Can someone give me some advice on what kind of padding to use inside my bucket? I know I saw a thread that mentioned something on Amazon, began with an M I think.... Any advice would be appreciated
