  1. You'll also need hovi mic tips for the helmet for EIB and centurion approval. What Andrew mentions sounds like a lot and it is but with just about any armor you will probably be getting updated stuff and will have to do trimming. Check out trooperbay for most of the stuff.
  2. I can't talk about the AM 2.0 but like I mentioned, I have the AP and love it! If you decide to go for expert infantry and centurion, you'll need to replace the mic tips on the helmet and build or buy the backs for the drop boxes on the belt, or buy new sets from somewhere like trooperbay. I would also recommend getting darker lens to hide your eyes better from light. Depending on your waist size, you will probably have to add a shim in between the ab and back plate to fill in the gap. Hope that doesn't sound bad cause it's not...just about any armor, you'll be making any kind of adjustment and there's plenty of help and advice here. AP seems to also have a less wait time then most. I had ordered mine in January and had it in March and was done with it in June. Best thing to do besides asking questions is research, go through build topics and EIB / Centurion applications, see how things look to you. Good luck....
  3. I've only been on one troop outing but I did talk, everyone seem to hear me okay and no one asked why I didn't sound like a stormtrooper. I still will get a speaker system though.
  4. I agree with Carlos, especially since it's fitted to a smaller size. I have AP armor and love it.
  5. Nice!! Congrats and good luck!
  6. Forgot about that. Unfortunately I didn't see about KW's inner boxes till long after I ordered full boxes from trooperbay...
  7. Awesome one!
  8. Looks good. Good luck trooper!
  9. Congrats on getting your armor. Take your time and trim less than you think you need to and work it to where you need it to be. And as everyone has been saying, research. It can be intimidating but once you get started, it'll be addicting! There is no shortage of help here! Good luck!
  10. I won't be running but want to say good luck, especially running in armor
  11. He supplies only the front half of the drop boxes. If you go for centurion level, you'll need to either build the back half or order new from someone like trooperbay. Trooperbay also has darker lens for the helmet to hide you eyes from the outside better.
  12. I'll second everything everyone already said... I love my AP armor! It took me about 2 months to build mine with working on it after work and weekends. I used both dremel and tin snips to trim mine. E6000 works great although I had to use ca glue on the shims that go on the shins because of the curve. But that was before I learned about heating the abs shims with a heat gun to put a curve in them. As Steve mentioned, you'll probably have gap between the kidney and ab plates but it's easy to fill that in with some time and patience...there's a great how to on making paste for doing that. You'll find quick and awesome help here with anything you run into. Good luck!
  13. You won't be disappointed. He does take payments. There's a couple things you'll get with the armor kit that you'll want to replace like the helmet lens and the belt drop boxes. Drop me a PM if you have any questions....
  14. Thanks guys! Can't wait to do more troops!
  15. All I could do was shake my head and wonder too lol. Good luck buddy!
  16. Get plenty of elastic straps, heavy duty snaps and Velcro and E6000 glue.
  17. I have AP armor and love it!!
  18. Looking forward to the build!
  19. Couldn't have said it better!
  20. Good luck with your build....one other difference is holster is attached by 2 fasteners for stunt and 4 fasteners for hero to the belt.
  21. Hey everyone, I don't know why I haven't posted this sooner but better late than never. This happened on June 22, 2014 and was my first troop outing and I will never forget it! The look on the kids faces, even the adults, was so awesome! I was walking through the crowd and saw the girl in the wheelchair with a huge smile and waving at me. That's why I am do this and I'm sure you all can agree! Here are some pics
  22. Congrats #400!! Welcome to the EI...
