Looking much better now. The brow seems to have a little 'curve' on the picture above. That looks different on the other side. You can reduce this by cutting, filing or sanding a bit from the plastic under the trap. Ears could be trimmed to appear a bit thinner and with smaller gaps to the helmet.

My TM Armour New ESB Pics
T-Jay replied to firebladejedi's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
A very nice build! The only thing I am wondering about is the position of the biceps armor. Maybe the biceps-hook could prevent these pieces from 'falling' out of the shoulder bells?!?! Just an idea. The rest is top notch! -
DVH Pipe Build with Extras
T-Jay replied to I'm Batman's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
No Problem. By the way: that paper dabbing technique might also be an idea to get a texture again on the middle section of your scope (on the sanded green stuff). But it will be a real challange to get it looking as the texture in the front and rear ends... -

Correct Ian. That technique from Felice was shown in entry #64 of my build. To increase that effect I used some Hammerite paint with hammered finish. This paint was much thicker, which brought an even nicer texture onto the surface when it got paper-dabbed. See here. -
Mutter’s Doopy Doos (and don’ts) E11 build
T-Jay replied to Mutter's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Hey Greg, this is a fun to read and it makes me smile how you went from 'just putting it together' to 'just one more mod. What can it hurt?' As you have meanwhile already been pointed on the replacement magazine from Steve ( ), you might also want to have a look at these nice resin counters from Dennis. And maybe you click the orange link in my signature below to possibly find something else for you... However, I am curious how this build will evolve! Looking forward to your next update. -
DVH Pipe Build with Extras
T-Jay replied to I'm Batman's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Wow! Was away a few days just to see, this thread has meanwhile exploded Very happy to finally see somebody using the counter conversion kit from Dennis (Blue Snaggletooth) . A really nice offer and I was also interested in this kit... Just one thing about your photos, Ian. Was a bit unsure, as nobody already wrote a comment about that, but I think the front (or rear half) is upside down on these two pictures. Hope you didn't alreay glue this -
@ Jason (Cantina Security): Thanks! Although I have only one aromr, it's the same for me @ Jason (Stormy320): Unfortunately the completion of that display is still far away, as no work has been started on the mannequin so far. Still unsure, if I should go for a real mannequin, or try the duct tape version...

Used this cheap way to protect it:

Well, usually threads end at this point, as the build is now complete. Because it was created for a display, there won't follow any trooping pictures in the future - except I get persuaded (there have been attempts already). So I thought you might like the idea of occasionally getting a (more or less) funny photo and I am starting with this tribute to a famous Pink Floyd album cover. Hope you like it.

BatNinja's AM 2.0 EIB ANH Stunt Build Thread
T-Jay replied to batninja's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Congrats on receiving your boots. One step closer... Looks like the grey color has gone a bit too far (on tooth 4 and 5). It's hard to say, as most of your paintwork is in the shadow on that photo. Do you think you can remove this before it cures? -
DVH Pipe Build with Extras
T-Jay replied to I'm Batman's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Wow, the pattern on the sight guard looks very good! Haven't seen anything more accurate yet. Can't wait to see it painted... And that inner barrel is just too beautiful to hide inside. What a shame... Very nice progress! -
Hm, it looks like a DoopyDoo's pipe build. At least it has the two-pieced folding stock and the same shape at the magazine. But what about that pipe? Looks like resin, too. Eric, was it contained in the kit, or did you add it yourself?

Full resin E-11 from DoopyDoo's with some modifications
T-Jay replied to T-Jay's topic in ANH BlasTech E11
@ Aaron (usaeatt2), Dennis (TK-50101 Blue Snaggletooth) and Germain (The5thHorseman): Thanks very much, guys . That little project was definitely worth it and yes, it was fun to combine these into one. Dennis, thanks again for that nice counter and that unbeatable price Okay, will possibly do some research on the real eagle counter and add this screw. Still got the original screws from my old counter (you see them on the picture, were the coil was taken out). -
Full resin E-11 from DoopyDoo's with some modifications

Update #24 - Hengstler 400 conversion First I thought about trimming these flat, then realized I would later need these notches to align the numbers. And I had to reposition the metal bar to bring the numbers exactly to the window in the cover... -
Full resin E-11 from DoopyDoo's with some modifications
T-Jay replied to T-Jay's topic in ANH BlasTech E11
Hello there to be honest, I didn't expect to add another update to this build anymore. But as mentioned in thread entry #125, I wanted to exchange that Hengstler counter some day (if I find a correct one for a good price). Instead of a complete counter, I contacted Dennis (TK-50101 Blue Snaggletooth) and asked just for small parts to replace the last two digits of my Hengstler. But what our "local counter dealer" offered me, was irresistible: a really strange counter without bracket and reset button, wrong cover, but all 6 numbers in black and the big eagle logo. Totally useless for any E-11, but perfect for my intention. So the aim is to merge both units into one correct counter... -
DVH Pipe Build with Extras

Those two pictures are exactly what I've expected, Ian Very nice work and some interesting pieces got used. I totally agree, parts 2 to 5 look nice, but that pattern is too small. The vice grips (1) seem to be the best choice here. Multiple layers of paint will later reduce the intensity... -

We have to bear in mind, these imprints look like little pyramids. It's not that easy to recreate them... Let's see what patterns Ian will come up with... -
The elastics look a bit wide and don't have the U-shape. The vertical seams below the elastics look misplaced. And I would prefer a shoe sole completely in black color. But at least it is an alternative to other vendors here...

Hey Ian, that front sight looks very good! Regarding the shield: Depending on the layers of paint to be added, the texture will reduce (as it did on my shield). In case you want to rework it, I would recommend using a file for making the imprint. Some files for wood have a nice rough surface for this. -
Strange looking helmet - but somehow interesting. Is that from the expanded universe? (I am not familiar with that) Or from a computer game? While the frown looks way too big (for me), the shape of the eyes is nice...

A little help getting started ^_^
T-Jay replied to RistetToast's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
Hi Kevin, in case it helps: I am 175 cm tall and chose the armor from Troopermaster in the UK. If you click on "ANH Stunt TM" in my signature below, you can see how that looks on page 2 (need to scroll down). Have fun. -
DVH Pipe Build with Extras
T-Jay replied to I'm Batman's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Very well done Ian!!! First I was a bit shocked when I saw pic. #7 (because of the slot) but pic. #8 shows it all correct. Don't worry about not cutting the dovetail into the receiver. Except some builders here on the FISD, the majority of people won't see that. Looking forward to your next update...
