  1. I have a thought about the hours thing, but I'll take it to Staff for the time being.
  2. Congratulations Andrea, and thank you for your commitment to the Empire! Your armor looks sharp! Heros lead the way!
  3. I will definitely be looking for these this weekend sometime! I may have to buy multiples though, as my boys will each want one - I'm specifically going to get my saber when they are not with me to avoid buying three of them.
  4. I do think that both halves of the neck line (chest and back plates) and shoulder tabs should be properly re-shaped. The neck is just too "flat" on both pieces, which lends immediately to the shape of the shoulder tabs. Dan did some great work in helping to define a better shape for those parts above. I do feel that the neck opening on the back plate should probably be reshaped a bit as well as the bottom as he indicated.
  5. The big thing to remember is that in general, all of the comments are offered in the spirit of legitimately helping you to have the best armor that you can. We all want you to be one of us, and we are working with you as part of your team to get you across that line.
  6. Michael, I have just found your build thread (due to the activity here today) after providing some comments for you on Facebook. You are doing just fine. I feel like your May 17th goal is really quite easily attainable. Just don't get discouraged with it. Anything that slows you down is just a learning experience that will pay off in comfortable skill usage somewhere down the line, so you'll make up the time elsewhere due to what you learn. Be sure to take a look at some Centurion Approval submission threads. The reason that I suggest that is because you will be able to see good examples of what each piece should look like before you begin reshaping or altering your kit. Stay the course, you're doing great.
  7. Beautiful work so far, Jesse! I, too now have many pieces of toys randomly scattered about. I am usually pretty good at ID'ing them, but I have no clue what that one is. Keep at it!!
  8. Wow. I am admittedly a little emotional about this. Rob, thank you. In addition to making beautiful TK armor, you were always a pleasure to deal with. I had no negative interactions, and in my time here, I cannot think of any single complaint by anybody as a result of any interaction with you. I know that you started this for fun, and continued to do it out of love, and you have indeed made for many a happy trooper in the Legion, across the globe. It seems like just yesterday that I reached out to you to inquire about a kit, and in the five years since then, I've personally had my hands on three of your kits, and all were of consistent and equal quality, and a joy to build/help build. Thank you for your dedication, craftsmanship, and general human decency. I wish you success as you continue forward, and hope that you will from time to time stop in and share your latest costuming creations. I enjoyed seeing all of the things you had made and shared, the creativity you demonstrated in a lot of endeavors was truly inspirational. Thank you. Terry, Thank you for stepping up and assuming the legacy of RT-Mod. It would have been a sad day had this merely been a "I'm done now Troopers" post, but thanks to you it has a happy ending and a bright(er) future. I too am looking forward to seeing the upgrades!
  9. It is always fun to see what happens when one of our members gets "creative" even if it not Star Wars related. This, though. This is a lot of fun to follow! Thanks for sharing, and keep at it, it is looking great!
  10. Congratulations, Eric. I am proud to call you a fellow Stormtrooper, a fellow member of Star Garrison (and NTX Squad), a friend, and fellow EIB Trooper! Looking forward to welcoming you to the ranks as a Centurion next!
  11. Josh... I know that you're ready... Make with the pics already.
  12. Thank you, Brien, for giving us the opportunity to stop and think about this for a moment, and for paying respects to a person who - as you said - gave so much, and truly epitomized Troopers Helping Troopers from the very beginning of that motto's existence. Thank you, Wyatt.

In the interest of fairness, and what I personally feel should be common sense, I am going to add a point to this discussion for consideration of anyone who has, or will, purchase merchandise from any subgroup of the Legion. When the seller/MBO offers you the option of a full refund if you are not satisfied with it, there is an expectation that you are going to return that merchandise to the seller/MBO if you request a refund. Either you are satisfied with your purchase, in which case you keep it, or you are not satisfied with it, in which case you request a refund and return it. Additionally, the fact that merchandise that you purchased may later be given away as a prize is a possibility. You are not entitled to a refund because someone else somehow received the same item for free later. Please, as a Legion member, exercise some common sense and human decency if you are not satisfied with any merchandise purchase you make through the Legion. The sellers are your fellow Troopers in all but the most rare of circumstances, and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, just as you yourself expect to be treated.

Thank you for everything, Wyatt. I am adding this to prevent any further confusion following Wyatt's request for communication via email as opposed to via PMs here at FISD: As a Detachment Staff Member, Wyatt had a significantly larger capacity for private message storage. When his Staff Access was removed, his PM box was automatically substantially over the limit as a member instead of a Staff Member. Naturally, this led to any issues that you may have either experienced, or have seen others post about regarding receiving a message from the system saying that Wyatt was/is unable to receive private messages. Please keep that in mind, and if you have questions or a need to communicate with Wyatt, utilize the email address that he provided above.
  15. Coming along wonderfully, Rat! Keep up the good work!
  16. It is not just you, Dan. I cannot see any images either. I know what his armor looks like, and I promise that the photos are great, but yeah... not showing up at the moment.
  17. Thanks Tony, it is indeed good to be back.
  18. Okay... Fully caught up. I have two points, more for consideration and discussion than anything else really: 1. Only military unit awards have the frames. Individual awards do not. Having said that, the frames are sharp looking, and Ooooooh, Shiny! 2. Where we have EIB/Centurion under the awards, perhaps put an Imperial Cog on the left and a FO Cog on the right. We are trying to ensure that both are represented, and there are indeed EIB/Centurion awards available for both sets of costumes. Ensuring that both are there provides one award for EIB, and one for Centurion, instead of the two that will inevitably be asked for when more FO troopers begin earning their awards.
  19. This. If I had chimed in before Paul, this is exactly what I would have said. LoL
  20. Congratulations Paul!
  21. Devil's advocate here... While I agree with the love for the idea of patches bearing different characters, the logistics have to be considered as well. Currently, there are just about 4,550 OT Era Stormtroopers approved in the Legion. Currently, there are just over/about 325 FO Stormtroopers approved in the Legion. Currently, there are 24 Captain Phasmas approved in the Legion. Per the rules, the patches must be in-hand before the run can begin. Most patch makers have a minimum order for patches, and the smaller the run, the more expensive the patch. Financially, it is easy to do a patch featuring the OT troopers. There are a lot of people who MAY buy them, and so the person fronting the run does not wind up taking a year to get the money that they paid for the patches back. It isn't difficult to do a patch featuring the FO troopers, as there are enough people out there who may buy them, that the person fronting the run can expect to receive their money back in relatively short order. Perhaps not as fast as the OT trooper patch, but it should come back relatively quickly. It may prove cost-prohibitive to do a Phasma patch run with only 24 approved members. Let's say that the patch maker has a minimum order of 200. You'll have no issue at all selling the OT patch, probably very little issue selling the FO patch, it may prove difficult to sell the Phasma patches in timely fashion. I'm not saying that nothing can be done. I believe that they should be done, but on the back-end, behind the scenes, these are things that have to be considered by the person managing the run. All of it would be easier, if there were more members here at the Detachment on a regular basis, so that they could show their support for the merchandise proposals. That would provide the run manager the opportunity to get a good feel for how many should be ordered, and how quickly they are likely to sell them. Not everyone who manages merchandise runs can afford to sink $1,000 into a patch run with the prospects of taking two years to recoup that money staring them in the face. In fact, a number of really great ideas and designs for merchandise runs requested to be run by members of the community have withered and died because of the need for them to front the cash, over the years.
  22. Take two of them. I am at a loss for words, Jesse. This, this is blaster building. Thank you so much as always, for sharing such an amazing build with the community!
  23. Also, I am anxious to see the home release, because I think that the gaskets may not be made of rubber in TLJ... They may actually be cloth - just another observation that I wanted to share before I forget it. We shall see later though.
  24. I know these are baked and all, but I believe I have a level 2/3 TLJ FOTK detail to throw in the mixer, and it may be one that answers a previously identified mystery - the black dot/screw, etc in the Picatinny rail of the forearms. We will likely have to wait until home release to verify it, but during the executioner scene, while holding their axes near their intended targets, we get a very good look at the wrist end of the forearms. It appears to me, over my repeat viewings, that the forearm construction is different than it was in TFA. It appears to me that the flat piece, with the comms box and the rail hasn’t “wings” that extend underneath the sides of the forearms, to keep them in place, and prevent the flapping wrist ends we saw in TFA. My theory is that the black dot is legitimately a screw or some type of fastener which keeps that flat plate in place. i will search around for a picture to demonstrate what I mean, but home release will allow us to frame grab like mad, of course.
  25. The Fort Worth PD has done a few Star Wars Videos like this now. They have not in the past used us for any of them however. Not sure why, but they are aware of us so LFL has probably not encouraged them to pay us for it as an LFL event. I assume that they were just given permission to use the IP based on proof of concept each time.
