  1. haha. do round the cover strips before gluing coz you might sand the shiny-ness away by accident if you've already glued all the cover strips XD
  2. Looks good buddy. How do they fit? Just snug or loose? When you carry your blaster you'll be flexing your arms and if it's too tight it'll bite into your arm. Also for the cover strips the edges could be sliiightly rounder. But that's just from my perspective so keep it as it is until you really have to
  3. You did the right thing by asking the FISD first mate! good on ya. As long as you keep asking for help here you can't go too wrong
  4. TK boots is a good source for boots like Germain mentioned. You could buy a pair from RS too if you since you're in contact with them already.
  5. You can always use ABS paste to seal the crack at the bottom of your helmet. And don't worry about the ears or even the ear gaps. Mine has quite some gaps and so do the troopers on the screen! Ear by far are one of the most difficult parts so don't feel to bad. You've done well
  6. I suggest you get the whole amour done and go for a test fit first. The trimming doesn't end even after you get your suit cleared Once you get a proper test fit...or even after some troops you'll find out which areas you might need to trim or sometimes you may get a fellow experienced garrison mate that can suggest to you which areas to trim. Better yo leave the return edges first then to over trim!
  7. Nice job on the strapping. Don't worry about the chest armour being too high. I've had a similar problem before. Just measure how much further you want it down and cut more elastics. There should be enough left (if not they' not too difficult to source! I got them easily from ebay).
  8. My eyes are still bleeding from the shiny-ness...and awesomeness
  9. 2. can't remember using that (someone please remind me, it's late here can't remember @_@) 3. not sure...looks like more strapping much like 11? can't get a closer look or it could be the strapping for the helmet if there's a snap and popper 6. similar to the small elastics, you loop both those large ones and sew them, then glue them to the inside of the thighs. 1. thigh strap goes through these loops my advice: use stronger glue. my top part keeps coming off although thankfully the bottom half is still holding strong 7. used to connect the forearms and the biceps 8. used inside the shoulder bells. not sure how to explain but here's a pic. the strap is of course glued to the in side of the shoulder bell. That gaffa tape there is just to hold the bicep in place. I have yet to make a plastic hook! 9. one is used to connec the cod piece to the butt plate and the other is glued to the right side (inside) of the kidney plate where it snaps to a popper on the right side of the ab plate Here's the strap from the cod piece that snaps to the popper at the butt plate (look at the right side of the pic). It's held by a split rivet. I used a washer too with that. Notice the bottom part of the picture.. Hope this helps . If you need more pics pm me and I'll send more tomorrow evening. I'm off to bed now..zzzz and keep up the good work too
  10. I made my loops that connected the chest to the ab plate a little logner than the rest. That is up to your height; I was a little short and so needed the chest to extend longer over the ab plate.
  11. wow.....flawless It looks damn well perfect. All the best and go straight for Centurion too, you deserve it!
  12. nice painting! if only i had those painting skills
  13. Can Stormtroopers drive AT-STs??

  14. Don't worry about that extended part. I left mine and covered it up with the cover strips:
  15. oh lol. Thanks Mathias and no worries just curious XD
  16. It doesn't really bother me but I have been wondering for a while...I realised that newer EIBs and Cents still retain their previous titles such as a Centurion still having the rank of private. Is there a reason for this i.e. a new upcoming format change or just some mistake in the settings?
  17. I like the look of the figure. We have to remember guys that they are not trying to be realistic or accurate but this is rather a stylised animated/cartoony depiction of a stormie. I think it's cute and I like the direction they're going into. It is after all not a live action series but rather a cartoon/animation. Don't know why there's so much dislike for the animated look
  18. Thanks Eric for all your help! *two-thumbs up*
  19. I trimmed the top of the chest towards the edge of it like this: For the bottom part the left side (left side from look at your armour) looks fine but leave more return edge fot eh right side:
  20. I'd say do the helmet last as the ears can get tricky to trim the curve around the helmet. So by the time you've done the rest of your armour you'll have plenty of experience on trimming and will be very familiar with the plastic. That is assuming of course that you have had no experience trimming. I started out with no experience whatsoever and I wish I made my helmet last XD All the best for your build and remember to take it slow and not to rush into decisions.
