TK boots, shiny or matte?
Billhag replied to 2155TK's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Luis Caboots are white patent leather style and very shiny -------- Personally, if I was having some made I'd go for the matt -
Luis I use the fuzzy / soft side of heavy duty velcro on the face of the clips and that works a treat I've never had any problems with scratches It sits pretty tight over the canvas belt and I normally ask someone to clip it on for me so that its nice and square. I hope this helps mate
-
Charlie In that case Sir, may I suggest a 'pimpped up' version that will suit your armour to a treat Hope you have a fantastic day mate, and don't let Smokey the bear hog all the lime light

Master Replicas Blaster Mod
Billhag replied to TX-8687's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Luis I ask this question around this time last year and the answer is yes, but.....its not very straight forward The stock as been secured to the inside of the front of the barrel vent casing. What you have to do is take the front barrel off, which can be easy or hard depending on how well its been sealed. You need to take the front screws/bolts out and then use these holes to try and twist the front off. I've heard some have just come off with a pair of needle nose plyers and a wee bit of preasure, but others have had to be heated up and the grany knocked out of them before they've worked free .When and if you get the front off, its just a question of getting rid of the gunk holding the stock in place and the stock is good to go. It won't function exacly the same as a Sterling but it does collapse and fold. You will have to also think of a way of securing it in the locked position as there will be nothing to hold it in place anymore. There were a few tutorials on the RPF and Rebel Scum. In one of them the guy completely stripped one down...VERY SCARY I hope this helps -
Tony Congratulations Sir!, I can think of no better person for the job I'd just like to remind all troopers of one of the discriptions listed on Wikipedia for this prestigious position "The Provost Marshal may also be in charge of the execution of punishments."

HOWTO: Pimp a Hyperfirm, Billhag style
Billhag replied to Billhag's topic in Tutorials, Tips and HOWTOs
Even more pictures I'd like to say a big, big thank you to Matt for his expert smuggling skills. You are my hero mate. -
As many of you know, I do love an E11 blaster , from the Kenner / Hasbro all the way up to a full on Sterling. But one prime example of this fine weapon as always eluded me (mainly because of living in the UK) the Hyperfirm. So after successfully establishing a International imitation firearms smuggling syndicate with the head of a notorious Texas cartel I have finally got my grubby little hands on one of these little beauties. I can see why everyone loves āem, theyāre well built, have some fantastic detail and you can throw this sucker at the wall and the thing wonāt have a dent in it. As always, not content on leaving things as they are, I thought that Iād have a little play around with it to see if I could āpepā it up a little bit without going over the top (I came thisssssssssss close to putting a real scope and counter on it ). So first off I applied some subtle weathering with some antique pewter and vintage gold glaze .Then I added a simple āDā ring, drilled the front barrel out, stuck a strip on the ejector port and painted it. I then changed out the power cylinders and messed around with the scope and pimped it up āBillhagā styleā¦oh yesss . Scope Tricks I wanted to keep it nice and simple and still be able to Troop with it and not worry if it gets bashed about. I know the mods Iāve made are nothing special but I thought that Iād share them so that others may get some ideas and have a play around for themselves. OK, bring on the picturesā¦ā¦.owww, we all love picturesā¦loads ānā loads of pictures

------------ Now, how COOL does that look!!...... Colin, Nice one mate

Andreas There's not really a 'Best to use', it really depends on how authentic you want to go, or how confident you are at painting teeeeny-tiny lines, or if you'd like a quick and easy solution to make your life easier The original ANH on screen helmets had all the details hand painted, the traps, tube stripes, frown, chin and ear bars. ESB and ROTJ had stickers (although there have been some original oddities found without ) There's no standard set for 501st or FISD 'Elite' approval regarding stickers/decals or hand painted. The main criteria is that they should be the correct colours for all the detailed areas. Its really all down to personal choice A great happy medium would be to get a set of Mike's - TK-4510 ANH decals as they have been brilliantly designed to emulate the hand painted details found on an original helmet (The Dave M helmet) That way you get the best of both Worlds Check them out here;-, TK-4510 DECALS - ANH I hope this help mate
