  1. Luis, Looking mighty darn fine there Sir, very nicely done, and an excellent submission. Looks like we'll have a new EIB joining the ranks pretty soon.
  2. Luis. Lasse Status updated and access granted, Welcome to the FISD
  3. Paul I'll think you'll find we lead up the EIB table by a mile UKG 14 EIB's Nordic Garrison 6 EIB's Garrison Titan 5 EIB's Florida Garrison 4 EIB's Georgia Garrison 4 EIB's Mountain Garrison 4 EIB's Terror Australis Garrison 4 EIB's Empire City Garrison 3 EIB's German Garrison 3 EIB's Georgia Garrison 3 EIB's Golden Gate Garrison 3 EIB's Great Lakes Garrison 3 EIB's 70th Explorers 2 EIB's Alpine Garrison 2 EIB's Canadian Garrison 2 EIB's Central California Garrison 2 EIB's Central Garrison 2 EIB's Connecticut Garrison 2 EIB's Garrison Excelsior 2 EIB's Ohio Garrison 2 EIB's Philippine Outpost 2 EIB Garrison Tyranus 2 EIB's Alabama Garrison 1 EIB Bolivian Outpost 1 EIB Garrison Carida 1 EIB Japanese Garrison 1 EIB Midwest Garrison 1 EIB Singapore Garrison 1 EIB So California Garrison 1 EIB Star Garrison 1 EIB (updated 12/09/09) Not bad for a bunch of guys who NEVER take their lids off in public and wear a 'silly' sticker on their shoulder bell
  4. --------- Lighter Fluid Its brilliant for this and a million and one other uses such as Refilling ya Zippo, Removing magic marker, Starting up ya barbie and ofcourse reenacting scenes from Tarantino movies
  5. Christaan Blacking out the inside of your helmet would not effect your submission for EIB. As Damian said, any mods inside the helmet are acceptable as long as they don't alter the visual appearance from the outside. As a side note, you may want to spray / paint the first coat white as a few guys have mentioned that putting black directly on the inside of some helmets gives a dull greyish effect from the outside. Just a thought
  6. ...What the f...... Well thank God that our 'Boys in blue' are a bit more reasonable and cut us a little slack when it comes to tropping with blasters. I wouldn't be an happy bunny if they tried to take mine away, I can tell ya
  7. Looks like us Brits will be OK, we don't mind wearing 'White' any day of the year regardless of superstition .....saying that, I do prefer a nice powder blue once in a while
  8. I've updated the little reference guide that I put together a while back to include Testors paint as well as Humbrol. I've also included the 'revised' view of ab button colours so that you can "pays yer money and takes choice" http://forum.whitearmor.net/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/smile.gif Armour_and_Helmet_Humbrol_Paint_Colours__Revised_.pdf Hope this helps
  9. Brad I think you'll find that you fall under Garrison Carida, here's the link; http://501stgarrisoncarida.org/ Check them out mate, I'm sure that they can steer you in the right direction
  10. ā€œLove of beauty is Taste. The creation of beauty is Art.ā€ Ralph Waldo Emerson Paride Man!, I can't wait to see this Bad Boy come together
  11. Come on guys.......
  12. Tony Sorry mate Here ya go...... -------- ...mmmmmmmm, hubba hubba
  13. I love looking at High Definition screen grabs, the more you look the more you find ...arrr, the mysterious Number '8'......
  14. Justin Your profile as now been updated, you're all good to go now
  15. Dag Nabbit!!....the secret is out about these little beauties I've got one of these fantastic pieces and they truly are a thing of beauty. They've been cast from a real MG-34 and the detail is brilliant. They strip down into 3 pieces (bipod and two part twist fit on the barrel) for ease of transport. Really quick and easy to strip down and put back together and the 'pool cue' style connector on the barrel is fantastic. I was lucky enough to be able to compare this bad boy up against a HyperFirm recently and was really surprised by how they matched up. Weight;- BIG, BIG surprise, in fact I was shocked that there wasn't a lot in it. I really thought the HF would be much lighter. Detail;- The old 'Droopy Draws' wins just by a whisker. All the barrel vent holes have been drilled and comes with T-Track fitted not 100% accurate but still pretty darn good, and the conical disc side greeblie, so you only have to add is the fixing wires and the feed tray cover and the DLT-19 conversion is complete. Durability;- This is where the HyperFirm will win every time. The resin cast is quite robust but if you did the old "lets drop it from a great height on to a slab of concrete" test, then the HF will come out untouched but I would say you would definitely be sticking a good few pieces back together on the poor old injured DD. Unfortunately I didn't have time to get any pictures of the big face off between these two beautiful beasts as I had to get the HF in the post to make sure that it reached a friends home for his birthday. Here's a couple of the oh so beautiful DoopyDoo's DLT-19 I Love this blaster and I've got to say that's worth every penny of the asking price Hope this as helped
  16. Richard The MG-15 was given a SW designate last year, its the RT-97C but no one uses it though <a href="http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/RT-97C" target="_blank">http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/RT-97C Shiv No mate, just the DLT-19 / MG-34 for the shiny whites I'm afraid. You have to make your self nice and dirty or go HWT to be able to be 100% cannon with all those other sweet BFG's
  17. Michael As Damian said all the dimentions are as follows Hope this helps mate
  18. Guys Take a look at what Rolf as done here and bow your head in the presence of a true master Rolf Stunning mate, simply stunning
  19. This is one of my biggest reasons........ Nuff said
  20. Steve Congratulations on your clearance mate, Welcome to the Fighting 501st I've updated your profile to '501st Member' as your TK costume hasn't been listed yet on the main 501st site. It takes a little while before they process the information from garrison GML's so keep your eye on it and let us know and I'll amend your profile to full 'Stormtrooper' status.
  21. Mark Sorry for all the fannying about, as you know this was passed on to Greg but nothing seems to be moving forward on it So what I've done is update your new account and status and I've changed the old one to 'Member' and put a post restriction on it so for all means and purposes its inactive. Sorry for the mucking about mate, hopefully you should be all OK now...just don't change your email address
  22. Shiv Looking mighty darn fine there mate, As Terrell said, need a picture showing the lens color, so stick your lid over a lamp & take a shot so that you can show that the colour is green because it doesn't come out too well in the photos. Other then that I think you are good to go as soon as you get your TK number and costume listed up on the main 501st
  23. Eric Looking sweet mate, brilliant job, well done The only little thing that I'd would change are the ends of the frown, they seem to end a bit too square.Perhaps follow it through past the un cut last teeth on each side Maybe a bit more like this Great work mate
  24. Lai, Chris Profiles and 501st status all updated guys, some great looking costumes you have there Sirs
  25. Rolf, My God!, how did I miss this thred Sir, my apologies for not commenting earlier on your fantastic new armour. It's beautiful mate, just beautiful
