  1. SOOOO want to build this kit some day! IMO, that 15 min trailer for The Old Republic is some of the BEST Star Wars material out there since Empire Strikes Back! These Havoc Squad troopers blew my mind! Oh yeah, the Jedi and Sith were kinda cool too, I guess..
  2. ATA helmet kits come with S-trim for the helmet opening, and C-trim for the brow. Just what you'll need!
  3. Yeah, every once in a while 501st merch goes up on ebay.. Might be bootleg stuff, I'm not sure. I've seen a bunch of patches and coins on there too. I once saw an FISD patch sell for around $30us! Not cool.
  4. Awesome! Congrats, Ron!! See you at a troop soon!
  5. Without question.. go with a new, more accurate kit. Especially since the AM/FX you're looking at is cut to fit someone 7 inches shorter than you (!!). It won't save you any time or be any easier than starting from scratch. You'll be SO glad if you buy new in the end, and it will look and fit you SO much better! Good luck!
  6. It's a pretty awesome whirlwind once your'e in! You should have full access to all the CCG boards now. Sign up for some shifts at the Rose City Comic Con booth in September!
  7. Armor looks awesome Ron! And congrats on garrison approval! Legion approval is just days away. Welcome to Cloud City, officially!
  8. Lookin' great, Ron!
  9. I would say the less padding the better! I use emile1138's 2" foam squares and they work great! I only use 9 or 10 of the 2" squares. 4 or 5 at the forehead, 2 or 3 at the back of the head, and one on each side to prevent wobbling. You may or may not need padding at the top. The more open space there is in your bucket, the better the airflow to your entire head on those hot outdoor troops. And yes, fans are a must for almost any outdoor temperature! While the baseball and motorcycle helmet liners look pretty cool, it's kind of overkill in my opinion.
  10. WOW, that looks like an awesome troop! Amazing photos! Good job troopers!
  11. Any art supply store or hobby shop should have it.
  12. Yes.. the 'good stuff' comes later.. once you're a member.. as per the rules set by LFL Good luck on your build!
  13. Once you get the crotch strap installed, you should be ok. The elastic will pull the butt piece up just enough, and you shouldn't have any issues with it touchng the tops of your thighs. You're SO close!
  14. Niiiiice!! Looking awesome Ron! EIB in no time!
  15. :dancing-trooper: :dancing-trooper:
  16. Well hellooooo ladies! Armor looks good! I'd love to run into these troopers at a Con!
  17. Yikes. The bucket in the main picture is EFX, and the bucket in the rest of the pictures looks like a 3 piece FX recast(?).
  18. That's some sharp looking armor! Amazing job trooper!
  19. As per suggestion for Centurion, does this look about right for the top of the thigh cover strips?
  20. I would stay away from stomtrooperundersuits.com.... Most of the stuff on there looks really questionable. No where NEAR accurate and way too expensive. The fact that the companies facebook profile photo is a Rubies costume also raises a red flag.
  21. Neither of those links are working for me. Try here... www.eastbay.com Search for compression top and pants.
  22. Thanks Chris! Yeah, I just stuck the soft side of the velcro to the TD clips so it wouldn’t scratch the kidney plate. It helps it go on smoother and faster too.
  23. Jason Rall 76216 EIB Letter
  24. I would square off the corners of those teeth with a file or x-acto blade, so the holes don't look like ovals.
