  1. Cool. I will start trying to put the pics back soon. If for some reason I cant, I will let you know.
  2. Awesome!! Im ordering one of these soon. This tutorial will come in handy.
  3. Hello everyone, Been a looooong time since I've posted on here. I recently found the CD I had saved all the pictures for my MR CE helmet overhaul tutorial I did a while back. For some reason the photos dont show anymore. I thought I could try putting them back if anyone is interested in seeing the tutorial with pics back in. Just wandering.
  4. Yeah, these fit the MRCE really nice. Luis.
  5. Congratulations! Man, that is one nice looking car. As a fellow Vette owner I know just how excited you must be.
  6. I use a dremel tool with a small sanding drum and begin to widen the hole behind the areators. Do this carefully and a little at a time. You can see inside the screens while you work and tell how much plastic you are removing. Occasionally wiggle the areators to see if they becoming loose. Soon they will snap off leaving a lip where you can reinstall them or use other, more accurate tips (I highly recommend Stompers'). Luis.
  7. Found this. It's more to resemble damage from time and age, but I think it looks cool. I plan to use this technique on one of my helmets. Hope this helps. --------- Luis.
  8. I used some rubbing compound then wax on mine (both Turtle wax brands). But it has a clear coat on it. Man it's really shiny!
  9. Thanks Mike. I'm going to look for these today.
  10. Has anyone seen this helmet on eBay? Looks to me like a MR CE helmet. Look at the brow and the ears. Old link, no longer exists Sly11 2020
  11. You know, I really thought about doing that too. Although it's finished now I may still attempt that.
  12. Thanks everyone. I want to also thank all those who shared they're ideas and mods too. Thanks to John for the ears, thanks to Steven for the frown mesh, thank you Stomper for your aerators, and a big thanks to Mike. Mike's "Converting a TE2 into a Hero" tutorial was a great help and was the reason I wanted to try and make my helmet a little better. Don, I have been debating on doing anything to the inside right now only because I don't own a full armor and won't be trooping any time soon (being unemployed sucks!). But I do want to add stuff to the inside eventually.
  13. You know I couldn't find any. I'll keep looking. I agree they will look better.
  14. Dude, please contact me when you can about my proposal. If the last price was too low for you, I can negotiate :)

  15. Finished the ears off today, so it's now complete, other than what I might do to the interior. Please let me know what you think. I had a question too: would this helmet be acceptable for trooping now? I will post pics of this helmet next to an unmodified one soon.
