Wow, until today, i had never fully understood how this front sight is sitting on the main barrel. I hadn't noticed that notch on the barrel for the sight to fit in... Thanks for linking the pics! Hope you'll find someone to cast it for you.

Sounds good and looks pretty nice. However, there's not much of a notch on the top of the right/hand thigh and you might have overdone it a bit. On contrary, i feel like you could have gone further with the left/hand thigh notch.

They hang from a belt you have around your waist, which is hidden behind the abdominal and kydney plates. You can have a glimpse at it on this sceencap (and also on a picture of Luke resting on his side between shots but i can't find it back):

I'm not sure if the Simon's holster you're talking about is specifically designed for the SE-14R actually. As Locitus says, the only time where we see it holstered it's on this set of pictures and the holster is just a normal TK holster with a different cutting patern at the blaster opening and stitches toward the front: As for the measurements over the French Forum, i remember they were kind of approximate because based on few pics with no scale on it at all.

To me, you can do both. However, the fact of wearing two different handguards and knowing why you wear them like that, i find that it adds a little to the history of the replica The same goes with his biceps hooks. Actually Han has this handguard set-up only during the first half of the film. Once he gets to the elevator with Chewie handcuffed, he has swapped with a normal standard left/right set-up: alternative style on the left hand, standard on the right Standard style on the left hand, with standard on the right

Looks like an extremely solid beginning. Don't forget to study closely reference pics so you put the right number of black stripes in the tears and vents, as the right number of tube stripes . However, i feel like your brow might be a bit low for Han's helmet:

I'm sure you will sort it out more easily once you'll have removed all the flash there is on the sides of the NE armor. I don't think you need that extra room.

On your side pics your abdominal plate appears to be really too low. I think you should consider strapping the kydney plate with the abdominal plate before trying to make the ab/chest connection. Once you got the kydney/ab strapped together it's all easier.

Don't forget to paint the screws in white, and also the ear bars rank.

Shoulder bells are good, biceps are good, forearms are too low. Their top should be touching the bottom of the biceps. And if then you have trouble bending the arms, you can increase the trim of the top curve on the inner half of the forarms to gain some space. Also, take care in following what others do. Always prefer the reference pictures of original armors first.

AP helmets don't come with a s-trim for the neck opening. In fact they come with two pieces of u-trim, one short for the brow and one longer for the neck. About its placement, as Bone says it goes over the ear. Good luck with your ears trimming!
