  1. Man, those thighs! You nailed the inner curve so well! And the notch is top... notch (i feel bad making that pun ). About the butt and the fact it doesn't align straight with the kidney, I don't think it's a problem of it conflicting with anything, but just the fact you have a back bottom to cover. However one thing to note is that NE is recast from RS and by default the RS butt plate flares a lot at the ends comparing to the kidney curvature. Maybe some careful heat bending at the ends of the butt plate will help reduce that issue. That and perhaps tightening the straps between the kidney and butt. But honestly, it doesn't shock me at all.
  2. You can thank Billhag and the UKG for that picture. They're a goldmine.
  3. You've got some real nice ref pictures Clint! I fear I might be a little late but this one's for you: Incredibly useful to size that thing!
  4. I'm surprised no one has mentionned that before but you ight want to take a look at this about the notch on top of your R/H thigh: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28560-red-2s-ne-anh-tk-build/?p=436141
  5. Alright, so The Shed of Glittering Delight is BFA? This I have already heard of and is indeed a TE derived armor as good as an ATA.
  6. I would really go with proper decals if I were to do an ESB helmet as the grey is different from ANH. It is a much more blueish/colder grey. You can PM FISD member Verne for them. He's selling a very good set of ESB decals. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/user/8340-verne/
  7. So much better with the correct arm strapping! Great job, you are pretty much close to perfection
  8. Yes, i guess it would not matter that much for a sandtrooper if the ABS is not shiny. And please once you received it, feel free to open a thread here. I'm very curious about this armor and I'm sure some others are too.
  9. Definitely ABS. The acrylic capped ABS will be shinny while i guess the regular will be flat. So I would recommand the acrylic capped even though it might be more expensive.
  10. Yes, the whole armor looks very RS-TM -ish. Very screen-accurate in other words. Maybe he has made the alterations himself starting from a TE suit, i don't know. But, Simon, this armor feels quite better than ATA. Do you know which material and thickness is used for the vacuum-forming?
  11. Wow, that's the very, very first time i ever heard of this maker. Looking at the pictures you've posted the armor looks far more accurate than ATA. Chest plate, thighs, forearms, shoulder bells... everything is better. Which of course leads me to wonder that constant same question: recaster?
  12. I can't resist to share that from the amazing Billy Haggis of the UKG:
  13. Seems like they're where they should be. Let's hope the glue arrives soon .
  14. Interesting to note that she seems to have a double chest plate: And thanks for the pictures Billy! I was wondering where the UKG was on the TFA stuff . I can't wait to see pictures of your armor kit.
  15. I have not paid attention to that . But five sounds prety much right.
  16. Seems like it's going to be a good recovery. I didn't even think about gluing back in place the ABS piece, nicely done!
  17. Glad to hear you can fix it. Man, those thighs will have given you a lot of work!
  18. Like Paul is saying: crossing fingers for you!
  19. If you look at this guy, you can see that the left hand side (holster side) of his belt overlaps the right hand side. So nice of him to have his thermal detonator kicked off so we can have a look .
  20. They're looking good for sure then!
  21. Love that wood paintwork. It's looking very convincing!
  22. Ouch, I really hoped you didn't already start working these new lines... I'm afraid I have to tell you that only the left hand thigh has clear notch at the top. The right hand thigh has a very much softer notch (if you can call that a notch at all).
  23. I could help you by taking measurements from the ones I bought from Karin but I don't know if would be okay regarding her. However, you can forget about that "Hero handguard" idea. You can see several Stunts wearing that handguard style throughout ANH.
  24. Both are correct but I personally prefer the Left-hand side over Right-hand side.
  25. Yes, I'm still wondering about that too. It feels even more questionable when you know that you can have access to almost hundreds of pictures of the ANOVOS kit in the photo reference gallerie. So I don't know what they are protecting.
