  1. Looking forward to the work on this! Can't wait to suit up in the new Stormtrooper armor!
  2. Just updated my profile to include FISD. Thanks for the heads up.
  3. Hey, Here's what I learned when I made my ATA build last year. From all the reading I did I went with the flat primmer. I personally have not seen any references where it comes across as glossy... That is how I trimmed mine. The ATA kit trims real easy that way. Have fun with the build. Be sure to ask any other questions you may have.
  4. This EI patch would definitely give me the extra push to go EI this year. Actually I think I'm pretty ready to go EI... just wondering if the blaster is required when applying for EI status. I have the Hasbro blaster and haven't made the listed changes to it.
  5. Can't wait to see this in action at an event! Of course, you're going to give me nightmares. I hate zombies
  6. Great. Thanks for the info!
  7. So is it necessary to have the correct number of t-bars?? The CRL says "But, if you want to have the correct number of T-tracks"...
  8. I've been making a few small changes before applying for Expert Infantry. Which I've pretty much completed... except the blaster. I have a Hasbro with the Doopy doo kit and debating whether to remove the extra t-bar as described in the CRL... or wondering if it would just be easier to build a whole new blaster. Any thoughts? While I ponder this, I finally set up my TK on my duct tape manequin I had built earlier in the year. LOVE IT! Nothing like a TK guarding my Star Wars collection I do need to fix up the legs on the manequin... they're a little too short.
  9. So I started to fix the shims joining the ad and kidney plates. I wasn't happy with the way I did I it... So I took it all apart today and rebuilt it. Much better. Now the pieces are nice and flush.
  10. All approved and FINALLY a full fledged member of the fighting 501st Legion!! Thanks everyone for all the tips and help. Next week I start making some minor changes for Expert Infantry status!
  11. TK-47223 requesting 501st member status. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=15961
  12. I stayed away from the zap a gap and zip kicker... especially since I had to pull pieces apart and redo them multiple times
  13. Oh ya. You can remove a lot more. Should look like this. Watch the build videos over on trooperbay.com and you'll get the exact measurements.
