Arn't most if not all of the lid's that are derived from the SFS lid FG with the trim's & earcap'a incorporated into the design? I'm aware the vendor in the post is'nt T*E back OT has there been another been any further website up yet by T*E? just wondered

You could go with any of the lids already listed in the thread I guess. Just as long as you don't go with an FG lid, you'd be able to trim the underhang to suit like Nate previously mentioned. The MRCE was the only lid I could put on without resorting to the screw top method but once on all the rest are much of a muchness depending on assemly, in my limited experience.

I'm not usually one for necro-posting but I wondered if this ever went anywhere? & with it Now being the Season of good will to all TK's maybe other's may want to contribute to the cause? or I'm I living in Hope

I know the MEPD used to have a half descent thread on strapping like in the movies, not sure if it's still there? Just looked through this site, plus searched & could'nt find anything like a "definative way to strap like the movies" if thats the way you wanted to go? it could be one of those secrets ppl don't like letting go of

I'd go hero "if that's what you like", & as some other have said just swap out the lenses when out & about, untill you can save up for Stunt ltr on. Then swap the lenses back & you'll have a choice. if it a good lid in the first place? it will never be a regret

I'd be reluctant to buy internationally from a "shop" the import bill I got from customs & excise was a whopper royal <_< If your adamant about getting SDS? do you have family or friends overseas? who could help out?

To Play Devils Advocate Could'nt there be threads in the Armor history on the "other makers" sort of a brief vinquette of just the bare facts? so when enquiries with reagrds to this! the Enquirer could just be directed there? Satin or Flat for me too I glossed a couple of lid's in the past but only ended up repainting them, horses for courses.
