  1. interesting read but like Sean Connery said "never say never"
  2. I think there are all some unscrupulous buyers aswell as sellers out there, could that offer even remotly be taken advantage of? I know guy's I would'nt sell to again & others I would'nt send $$ to buy from. Thats one of the darksides to this hobby <_< , Hope the future reforms work out
  3. it's only been three years waiting for my kit to arrive & I'm still out a heap of $$$ from Matt but yes he was real nice guy while he was taking my cash. You'l go the way you want but I'd suggest to anyone "avoid him like the plague"
  4. The above post & what other longstanding armour makers have said in the past, it's from the mold. Also checkout starwarshelmets & the interior ESB lid shot the costly refurb amplifies it. it's even got seam lines down the tubes
  5. It's a side effect of using screen acurate materials sometime's ---------- --------- other armour makers found the same issues aswell recently using HDPE. Sorry to derail the thread my initial post was regarding the Bump this was about the screen acurate flaw's questioned. Last time I add to this.
  6. For some additional info to the thread TE did reintroduce a bump back into his Molds. ----------
  7. there's a great pic somewhere that show's three modern TK's together with three of the original 1976 Stormtroopers, it's great for size comparison & rational for the difference in the trimming of the armour "backs of thighs & such" yep I though it was round the 5'11" 5'10" mark too someone may have the pic?
  8. can you clarify the bit about "costoms siezure"? what got confiscated?, your kit or his raw materials? thankyou
  9. I like Pat's ideas, what if all the medals & badges on someone's avatar bit were clickable & gave the reason the individual recieved it with pics.?
  10. sage words from Paul I'll never use superglue again thats for sure, what a dissaster. nice bubbled lenses with an added chalky white film all over them. I've three small jobs left on the work bench & then will be able to update this topic on not damaging the lid, if there's any interest?
  11. Really? You mean this lid vern? pre production? -------- after a close lookC I'm not too sure about that
  12. Rougetrooper is right on the money with the Hovis they are hot glued in but my two lids came with paper fasteners when I got them, that was a few yrs ago.
  13. There sure is a lot of waste material with the pull but I do like the hand held grinder
  14. Some Matizza, Oakly & early CRProps would be cool to see, maybe even 9thny or was that just armour?
  15. A marketing ploy perhaps?, he's burnt his bridges everywhere else & is in a poor position to openly vend. Tom's got it in a nutshell with "caveat emptor" when it comes to Matt G.
  16. As you mentioned TM The next lot thats if you can find any of the first 3 are in order, GINO V2, CRProps, GF & readily available are SDS. Sorry I can't offer any more help but those would be on my list.
  17. Excellent work on the lense's Matti Nice curve & great bubbly quality.
  18. How much yep thats Matt sans the striped top & mask.
  19. Here's part of my collection. the ones that need some work anyway <_< ---------- sds stunt, JoeR, sds hero, Gino v2 bumpy. looking forward to seeing some CRProps, maybe some CO? GF?
  20. Any new pic's of this goodie up for share? I'm sure I saw a couple of new ones recently but they were too small, small but still good
  21. Hey Matti, I'm real happy that it helped out your situation but for other's who've been in contact!! about ROTJ or HERO bubbled lenses Alert alert alert! if you have a thin & or flimsy lid? from either materials or build? pls pm me first for an update, untill I get the free time to offer the alternative way of doing lenses without compromising your hard earned $$$ & or lid. nxt update to follow over the nxt weekend for all troopers, HERO's or ROTJ's. it will cost you 2-3 bucks for lenses and not much skill
  22. Thanks Paul, It certainly looks like parts of the original armour you ID'd. but then your the troopermaster
  23. Good eye's Paul So is it down to damage or a slim return edge that ment resituating the staping bracket to the front instead of the return edge? or am I way off base?
  24. thanks guy's I love comparison pic's so here's a quick one while the paint cures. another dull morning outside BTW GINO V2.....JoeR CFO.....SDS Stunt.....
  25. time for a small update. I had to change the primer as the finish I was getting from the automotive top coat just was'nt cutting mustard. I'm not that hot at being able to capture the colour & sheene together so messed about with the camera with these two. it's a bit shinyer in the flesh & not so bright white as the pic show. <_< I can't wait to get cracking on the detailing. My thanks to Keith for his kind assistance & invaluable expertise.
