Keep in mind those are too large if you ever want to fly with them as luggage. I sue this one for my TK as well as my snowy, and the only thing that will not fit is my bucket!!

    -------------

I've got something pretty similar to that. Whole TK fits except for my bucket. It really is all in the way you pack it.

I've got Ab plate, butt and kidney, chest and back all stacked. Then biceps go into forearms which go into your shins which go into the thighs. Only problem is my belt, because my holster is not removable. I even keep my CA boots in the tub, shoebox and all. All fits pretty well.

Before I paid money for any tub, I laid out all the armor on my bed and worked on getting it as packed and small as possible, then measured the amount of space I would need. Overkill, probably, but I am a trooper on a tight budget.

  2. I store my glasses (because I can't wear them under the bucket) in my Thermal Det tube. I've got a pouch on a lanyard around my neck for my ID/cash/Debit card/hotel room key/etc. Normally I give my cell phone to my wife to hold, she's usually my spotter, but I'm thinking about going non-canon and just leaving it clipped to my belt.

I don't try to carry too much on me because it's just in the way. Most of my stuff stays stashed in my armor tub while I'm in armor.

  3. Lots of people have the MRCE, but that's mostly because they were really low in price there for awhile. However, the prices on them are going back up. It's not worth it, if you want a helmet for trooping. You can get better for the same price or cheaper. If you just want a lower priced display piece, the MRCE is reasonable.

  4. I've got a pretty big noggin and I fit into the MRCE. I've only tried on 2 other TK buckets, my old FX and a Garrison mate's AP, but it was assembled very small and I wasn't able to get it on.

Like everyone else has said, the majority of the sizing and fit is in the construction. You are building to your body, so you will make it fit you.

I think that is most of them. Still looking to add a few more to the collection from some of those great helmet makers.

I asked my wife "Can I have this many helmets?" Very quick answer "No!" :D Although my brother in law said "There's nothing wrong with having that many"

  6. Just for the record;

The entirety of Yodas performance in TPM WILL be replaced by CGI in the upcoming "Ultimate" realease ( due out this Xmas word has it).

The footage was made during production of EpII and was part of that films budget.

Trust me, I have a relaible source. ;)

Anyone wanna buy Lucas' mini fridge from his EpII/III office in Oz?

On one of the Making-of Documentaries on the ROTS DVD you can see what the Digital Yoda looks like in TPM.

  7. Back when the DVD player came out I had a subscription to TotalMovie magazine, it always came with a DVD with movie traliers and the first Magazine with its DVD had Troops on it. I still have this DVD. Not sure how I got the magazine but back then it was cool to have the only DVD with Troops! B)

This was before the legion started and should be placed in the Swag achives if its not already.

My favorite line was "Some people call this the A$$ end of space but I like the small town feeling".

I worked at a book store for a short time so I snagged the DVD for free when we sent back the unsold copies of the mag.

Still my favorite of all the fan films.

  8. Even ignoring sites like RPF or TDH, look at how FISD compares to the other Detachments. FISD is HUGE and it really is thanks to the staff here. You have all worked tirelessly to create a great environment and community.

    Troopers helping Troopers!

  9. So he's been telling tales. What a shock. Watching people state this for years on end be ignored...my givadamm is busted.

I'm going to have to agree here.

I honestly can't see paying 4 figures for something that was not even seen on screen.

  10. The MRCE is a great bucket to learn on. I was in the same position as you when I started mine. Very unsure about my abilities and not sure how far I want to take it. I pretty much went for broke and did it, and just had to learn as I went along. It helped a lot to boost my abilities and to gain that confidence.

If you like the Hero look, I say go for it. I think the MRCE would make a great Hero lid.

    Here's how mine came out

  11. Looks like a safe place to start. Always better to trim less at first, then trim more if need be after assessing the form & fit.

Here's an idea: You could trim the sides so that the chest/back just touch, similar to what the ab/kidney pieces should do. I'm seriously considering the idea of trimming my soon-to-be ordered AM kit in that manner. Granted, it's not screen-accurate, but I kind of like the idea of being completely encased in armor and not having my ribs exposed.

That makes sense actually, because isn't that closer to how the clones come together?
