Personally, I'm in the middle between the two camps. But, like Gino said I can see myself not staying in the middle. I've only been at this for a few months now, but I can see so much more now in the films and in what people are wearing. I like the scuffs, scratches and marks that are on my armor. I think it gives it more character and makes it look like it's actually been out there in the field and not sitting in a rubbermaid tub in my living room.
On a somewhat related note, I was looking at some of the new Clone Wars books at the store the other day. Something in one of them caught my eye and has stuck with me. In the movie and TV show the clones have a slang for new recruits "Shineys" because they haven't been out in battle yet and the armor is still all perfect and clean.

The Making of Star Wars is a must buy. The Complete Visual Dictionary. For PT-stuff, Dressing a Galaxy is really good. It's more than just Padme dresses.

At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to bother with putting sound in my helmet. But, after wearing it out in public one time around a bunch of kids, I quickly realized that me just kind of talking in the helmet really ruins the effect, and you can only pantomime so much. Also, it's very difficult to understand what you are saying underneath the helmet without so kind of sound system.
I went the cheaper route and paired the Wal-Mart special voice changer with a set of Stomper's great aerator speakers, and I think it sounds great and right out of the movies. So not only can I now be understood but I've also got that great theatrical effect too.

You might want to add some snaps to the ab section under your belt. The downside of the canvas belt is that it will slide around on the plastic. Snaps will help it stay in place.

Great pics! That is one tall jawa!

Murray1134: I'm assuming you mean the strap being held on in the pic with the clamps? I have that strap but it is velcro and a pain. I have snaps which may be too hard to fix right. I see yours may be attachet permanently which might work well and I haven't thought of that.
That would be the one. I leave my bell and bicep attached all the time, and put them on as one piece. The shoulder/armpit strap is permanently attached. It keeps your bells from flopping around whenever you lift your arm.

Looks good to me. Only thing I would recommend is to put a strap running under your shoulder bells to get them from shifting.

Looks really good.

If you were sent a pair of the original lenses that came out of a MRCE would that help in making lenses to fit it? Or do you have to have the whole faceplate?

Congrats!

Wow!!! 190!?! That's a HUGE troop and some great photos! Thanks for posting those, looks like you guys had an amazing time.

Nuts help keep the screws from coming loose, at least that's why I would put them in.

I've been waiting months to say that!

I would velcro anything that you might feel the need to loosen or "open up" to put on or remove. If it doesn't slide on easy, you might want to velcro one side.

You could try using the sanding attachment for a dremel or something similar. I would check the AP/TE Forums on here or the "OMG Rebuild" thread for hints.

I would think we would see kind of a TK-Clone hybrid falling somewhere between the two or maybe he actually will show the progression of Clone to TK.
I would really like something closer to ANH where it really is just an action adventure story with more of the classic "go here, save this person, stop that person, blow this up, stop the bad guys" type of feel than the more psychological political feel of the PT.

Amazing news, we are all pulling for you guys.

They ship international, just send them an email first.
Does anyone know how much the shipping to the States is for SealsDirect?

Hmmm. An evo trooper would not be my own design, but it would be cool. Would you happen to know where I could find more info/pics about these dudes?
They are scheduled to show up in the upcoming game The Force Unleashed, the action figures have already been released though. http://www.rebelscum.com/TAC0809EVO.asp
and there is these guys too, the Jump Trooper

Always curious about some new designs. Create your own and make a backstory.

You should be able to find contact info for all the major armor makers on here. I would say to avoid buying a suit off of the 'bay, they are almost always overpriced. No way is an FX suit worth $1000.
-
Wow, that's one heck of an extreme diet. Seriously though, glad you are okey.

I just finished getting the sound system into my helmet today. Here are some pics of what I have put in. Albeit this is in my FX helmet, but I am running the sound through a set of Stomper's great Hovi speakers. It's still a little quick and dirty, but it's all contained and works.
Messy, but gives you an idea----------------
The amp for my voice unit fits quite nicely in the "corner" under the ears, and the battery pack is in the back.

Umm... what else would you need? Some of these are obvious.
If you can't find Humbrol, Testors #1138 works good too for grey paint.
Drill
When it comes to snaps, you'll want Industrial Snaps. Available at most major craft stores or Wal-Mart type stores.
Elastic, Nylon webbing and Velcro in black and white.
Wire cutters, especially if you plan on wiring up your bucket.
Screwdrivers and pliers.
All I can think of for now.
