Folding stock attached. Also, I've got the ejector port and barrel crescents attached, but they are on the other side of the barrel. I just want to run around with it and start screaming "Pew pew pew"

Got some work done on this last night and tonight. This is where we stand now.
It's coming along pretty nicely, and quicker than I was first thinking.

Thank you for all the info.

Also where have people gotten the scope rail from?

Hopefully, this means GT will soon have its sixth Expert Infantryman.
That's my goal.
I do have a question about these two little pieces. I know where they both go, but I noticed that one is slightly smaller than the other. Which one goes on the ejector port and which one goes on the end of the barrel?

I finally broke down and got myself a proper blaster to replace my Hasbro POS.
The kit arrived today.
So, now I have a fun project to work on. This is my first time working with something like resin, so I hope I don't screw it up.

I attached a male snap on the inside of the belt with a poprivet. Just holt the snap over the rivet before you use the rivet tool to pop the rivet. If you use the right size of rivet it will hold the snap real tight and good.
I tried that, but none of my rivets were the right size, either too big or too small to fit thru the snap.

Did some shopping today and I couldn't find any place that even knew what a chicago screw was, but I think I found something that was close.
Found this in the scrapbooking section at JoAnn Fabrics, $1.99 gets you a pack of 4 (sorry for the blurry pic)
Drilled out my rivets and replaced them with the screws. I'm hoping that the old holes wont be anything that would hold me back for EIB. I still hope to have that this year.

Forgive me if this has been discussed before, I've done searches but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for.
I'm trying to attach my holster (ANH Stunt Style) and I really want to make my holster removable for easier storage. But, I'm having a problem finding something that is long enough to reach thru the leather, canvas and plastic of my belt. My normal snaps are not long enough to reach through all of that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Last I heard ESB: Revisited was still being worked on
-
The downside about this version is that I think the "original" are just copies of the vob's from the old LaserDisk verison, which while picture-wise is close it still has Episode IV on it and also only has stereo (2 channel) sound.
There's a really good fan edit of ANH where he took the base movie and blended it with some SE elements and custom CGI work that is now my favorite. Don't recall the name here at work, but I'm sure someone (Tom?) will chime in
That is Star Wars: Revisited. Just do a google of Star Wars Revisited or ANH Revisited and you should be able to find a copy

I think the cartoon is hilarious. Definitely hitting the crazy extremes on both sides.
Seriously though, I've seen some jaw dropping Mandos that were on par with anything that was from the films. I've also seen some piss-poor ones as well. On the whole, all the Mandos I've come across were great troopers and the vast majority of there costumes were very well done.
There is some fun in taking the iconic look from the films and going into a non-canon paint job or build.

I really like DVD commentaries, and it really increases the buy vs. rent for me if a disc has one.
I liked all 6 commentaries, but yeah sometimes I just don't really care what else Ben Burtt has to blather on about. The best of the 6 has to be either ESB or ROTS. ESB is great because you have Irvin Kershner in there adding a lot more interest and stories, and ROTS has a lot more of George Lucas going into depth about the meanings behind things.

Good relations with the Wookiees I have

I like it. That is a very cool custom look.
The non-canon builds can often times be as good as the total screen accurate builds

Glad to hear you got yourself free.
It's moments like this that make the best learning experiences.

Definitely FX, judging by the legs it may be the older style.

The Blink one comes up a lot, especially in the group photos.
I've had kids worried about the gun, or wonder why it doesn't shoot. I tell them it's not real, Vader doesn't allow us to take the real ones to the troops.
When we have trooped with Rebels and Jedi, people ask why aren't you shooting him? I tell we signed a cease fire for today.

Well said.
It's not about dieting, it's about a lifestyle change.

Looks like you are off to a great start.

This is somewhat on topic of this post so I don't believe I'm ninjaing the OP's topic..
I'm in the same boat as to looking for a bucket. I'm probably going the lite kit route for the AM set and I really don't know which one I'd want. I'd prefer one assembled if thats possible. Any recommendations, since I know many require you to put them together.
I know in my talks with RT and TM they have both mentioned offering assembled helmets. However, part of the fun is assembling the helmet yourself. Like the armor itself you can adjust the fit and look of the helmet in the construction to exactly how you want it.
Even if you feel you don't have the skills to do it, consider it a learning experience. There is a wealth of info and helpful people here on FISD to help you in the build.

Sorry to continue the derail, but how cool would it be to see a lineup of all the white armored troopers from a Ep. 2 clone to Ep. 3 clone to a ANH TK, TD, ESB TK, ROTJ TK
-
That animated armor just keeps growing on me more and more every day. Having seen a number of them up close in person at CV didn't help either. Plus, the show just gives so many different flash and paint schemes to play with.

LoL, I love that pic!
The resin is a lot stronger than I thought it would be. After all the horror stories I heard about them breaking, I thought they would be a lot more fragile. It feels pretty solid, even with it just being glued together.
Here's the latest update, got the magazine attached. Which means the scope rail is next, not the part I've been looking forward to.
