  1. Respectfully requesting being granted EIB status. Thank you for your consideration. Tyler Fox/TK 5492 Forum name: TK5492 Japanese Garrison Armor= FX/ATA hybrid (Chest piece, back, shoulder bells, and shoulder straps are ATA) Helmet= eFX Modded. ( Ear screws added, old lenses removed and green welder’s lenses added, teeth dremelled wider and repainted, mesh added, seam filled, ears repainted, old too dark tube stripes removed and new Trooperbay correct style stripes added. ) Blaster= Doopy Doo’s full resin kit Height = 5’ 6†Weight = 150 Boots = TK boots Canvas belt = custom made Hand Plates = Trooperbay Gloves=Trooperbay rubber chemical Neck Seal = Unknown - From an old kit Holster = Unknown- ditto Drop boxes= Enclosed with scrap ABS Thermal Det clips= custom I bought this armor before I got into FISD and knew the information I do now. I have tried to take what I have learned and make it the best I could with my budget and living abroad. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you. I think that covers everything. Thanks!
  2. I appreciate the encouragement guys. I will follow your advice for my submission.
  3. Thanks Eric. It always amazes me how quickly my questions get answered. That is good to know. Watch out for my application soon.
  4. I am ready to go for EIB. I have met all the requirements, although I believe that I may run into an issue during submission due to a technicality. My but plate is split from my kidney plate as required. However, when I put on my belt it covers up the cut line. I don't know if this is due to my height (5' 6") or what. I cannot simply lower the butt and kidney plate otherwise it will sit too low and create the "tail" look of it sitting too low. However in the requirements on the CRL page it states that: A separate kidney plate shall be present, split from the butt plate. A separate butt plate is required, split from the kidney plate. So my question is this: seeing that I meet the requirements, will I still be denied approval?
  5. Agreed to above. rotate outward and raise them up. Looks like a quick and easy kindof fix which are not common.
  6. Thanks. Also, should the stripes remain parallel with the "valley" between the 'cheek' and the tube?
  7. I am finishing up my helmet and have ordered some tube stripes from Trooperbay. My question is the measurements for where the stripes need to be put on. It seems like everyone has them in about the same spot in all the pictures I have seen, but I would rather not eyeball it. The distance I am most concerned about it this one: (sorry about the picutre, I am terrible with photo editing) Hope this explains it enough. Thanks.
  8. AH BAZINGA! Finally, got them to stick! Used Walt's suggested method, and I think the cells have bonded together. A Wookie couldn't pull those handguards off. Thank you everyone for your quick advice. Less than 24 hours from near burning them to making them perfect.
  9. That looks like a promising prospect, Ingird! Thank you. I am going to try a different approach first, but if it doesn't work, then I may need to consider that. Although, if this doesn't work...
  10. Will be good for people to look our for this guy then and to get helmets from the true source.
  11. Saw this guy has a grip of assembled but unpainted helmets. Legit? Is this someone from the FISD? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-TK-Stormtrooper-Helmet-/140734303639?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20c46b0d97
  12. These are the ones that are already white. Is latex better when it comes to gluing? I didn't think there was much of a difference between rubber and latex.
  13. I assume you are referring to the locktite with the activator pen? Unfortunately, that is not available here. They have every other type of locktite super glue though. Will regular be okay?
  14. I am getting sooooooooooooooooooooooooo frustrated! I got my rubber hand guards from trooperbay. They are legit, thanks goes out to trooperbay. However. I glued them to the gloves using the locktite super quick epoxy, put some books on them and left them for 24 hours. Peeled them off like a wet towel. Ok. It's okay! I then used CA glue like I have seen mentioned in the forums and fowllowed the same proccess. When I went to check it.... SAME RESULT!!!! What do I need to do to get them to stick instead of peeling off the glove like a bun off from a wet hamburger?
  15. We've got a guy that uses velcro. It falls off at every. Single. Troop. Just sayin'
  16. Thank you for your gracious offer Andy. I will try and find them locally though. I will attempt the score and snap technique also. Thanks guys - Troopers helping Troopers at it's finest.
  17. After researching this for awhile I have mostly only turned up the "Shopping list" posts for trimming tools, so 怒ã£ã¦ã¯ã„ã‘ãªã„ï¼ I would like to know what the best "scissors" are for trimming armor. Don't really want to use the dremmel. So, in your opinion what is best? I'm trying to find something that will just glide right through ATA's ABS. Note: please explain in detail what I am looking for. Pictures would be GREAT. Everything here is packaged in Japanese, so just "type x" won't be enough info. Thank you all in advance.
  18. These are amazing and I can not believe that I did not know about these before. These are 100% invaluable! This may seem very stupid to everyone but how should I print these? Do i just right click and select "print picture" or should I save the picture and then print it into a certain format i.e. 5"x7" , 4"x6" etc. etc. Any help would be great!
  19. From my understanding - exactly the same. As far as acceptance - they need some work first.
  20. Not alot of stuff out there to showcase what we do in the Japanese Garrison, so I thought I would share this. Video from my latest troop at the Epidsode 1 in 3D release here in Tokyo. Amanda Lucas was here and she was officially made an honorary member of the 501st Legion! Enjoy!
  21. I've never seen anyone just come right out and say 'why buy from another maker' and actually specifiy a name. That's.... I don't really know what to say. I'm so sorry this guy is doing this. You want me to take a bounty out on him?
  22. Our opinions are good but in the end it is all up to you. You have to go with what appeals most to YOU. Look at the pictures side by side of the two helmets and go with the one that you look at and pops most for you. I personally like the Stunt because I like that they are the original. Those guys that blast through the door in the first scene of ANH... That's what I wanted to be. The Hero helmets imply that there is a Rebel underneath
  23. Well, I certainly am not at a level where I write CRLs, but I will add my 2 cents: I believe that the blaster has to be ROTJ because that is the type that is used by the TKCs in The Force Unleashed.(Which is where the CRL is derived from???) Also, I am not sure I understand your folding stock question. I wasn't aware that having a functioning folding stock was necessary for ANY of the CRLs, even Centurion. If so, that is surprising. It would be very difficult, as you would almost have to have a deactived Sterling to have this option, and those can cost as much as armor. That would be very impractical IMHO.
  24. Thanks Mike, but I actually already did! Those will be used on a new helmet. Finding stuff for my exsisting one is just not going to happen
