  1. Hi john. My kidney plate on my MTK may be thinner than the other pieces but not by a noticeable extent. Not sure if that makes any sense but until I saw this post tonight I actually went and looked at mine because you brought it to my attention. Before this It never really made any impression on me that it was "very thin." If you think something is wrong with it, contact MTK. I'm sure he could shed some light on it.
  2. Congrats Nathan. Your armor is awesome!
  3. Congrats Greg! Awesome accomplishment! You will be on to Centurion in no time.
  4. Hey Greg. Things are looking great. You may be 205lbs but you would never be able to tell that because your armor fits you so well. The only thing that stuck out at me when I first saw your pictures was that your forearms look off to me. I don't know if it will effect your approval but the ribbed side looks like it is facing downward on you. Like facing toward your back. I believe they should face out to the side. Other then that and your little chore list above you should make it. Lets add one more EIB to Empire City! Good luck.
  5. Well Nathan your armor looks awesome. Should be an easy one!
  6. Congrats big guy!!! Can't wait for this coming year.
  7. Well my name is a combination of two ideas. Obviously most of you see star as in Star Wars and Saber as in Lightsaber and it is just combined. That is true and where the idea really did come from. However the 25 at the end comes from Transformers. I loved Transformers growing up and many years ago I stumbled upon the Japanese series called Transformers Victory. The hero in that series was named Star Saber and this series took place in the year 2025. So there you have it. Combo of Star Wars and Transformers....starsaber25 This is a pretty cool thread.
  8. Hey thanks again everyone! Its certainly exciting when you obtain Centurion level. When you start out Centurion seems like light years away. But here I am! It's your turn Ian!
  9. Steven Sheades 10466 Centurion Letter Thanks!
  10. Hell Yeah! Thanks Steve and everyone for the guidance throughout this journey. I will continue to make the changes as they need to be made in the future to keep my armor looking in top notch shape! Yeah that handplate literally came unglued when I was taking the pictures. They need a new dose. Yeah Steve I hope MTK can finally get on the vetted list. I know MTK doesn't care if he is or isn't but people really appear to shy away from other armors that aren't on that list. Or they just don't know about them in general. MTK has made many changes to his armor at this point that it should be a consideration just based on the fact that he is continually looking to improve the overall look to become more accurate. This process was truly awesome from day one! What a fun hobby we have here and what an awesome support group. I know there is much poop slinging going on right now with the elections and all but atleast that all means nothing when it comes down to armor and the building process. Everyone really does want the best for this detachment and hobby and I really do appreciate it. Thanks Again everyone!
  11. I've done the boiling water trick a handful of times now and a couple times with parts that are glued. I haven't had any trouble with if affecting E6000. If it does you could always peel back the coverstrip or whatever it is and add some fresh glue underneath.
  12. I was thinking this same thought. I have always been under the thought that AM was for larger troopers. So if AM 2.0 still is for larger troopers then is your friend a bigger trooper Caleb? Have you looked at other options if he isn't? If you were going for a fit like NE then wouldn't you be looking for something more screen derived?
  13. Hey Guys thanks for the comments: Tony - I have fooled around with my shoulder elastic multiple times and each time I have gone one way or the other, it opens up a new problem unfortunately. If I shorten them then the chest plate gets pulled up and there is a gap between that and the ab plate if I move a little. If I leave them longer then there are gaps in other areas. After fooling with it many times I am currently I feel that I am in the best spot. So unless I am required to try and fix it even more then it might be the best its going to be right now. Hi Mark. Yes they are square. Maybe it is because of the photos and the different angles but they are the same.
  14. Thanks Andrew! I have no doubt you will make it. Ok so I did it. I redid the Thermal Detonator. What do you guys think of this?
  15. Hey guys thanks for the response. Yeah I know about the thermal detonator and I have been bouncing back and forth on what to do with it. Yes the hole was to get the caps on and I originally screwed it up a little bit. I was intending on covering it up with the panel but it didn't work out. So my issue is and why I never fixed it right away is the clips are nut and bolted on the inside and the end caps are glued on with E6000. I originally tried to lightly pry off one of the end caps and started to realize I may damage them so I stopped. However, before I made my submission I was just thinking about going ahead trying to get them off and see what happens. So I will probably do that anyway at this point. BTW everyone these clips are Evilboys "Screen Accurate" TD clips. They actually aren't accurate so I hope he fixes them at some point. And yeah Scott the election threads were certainly entertaining! I was ready to make my submission two days ago but decided to hold off until the debate came to an end. Back to the armor!
  16. Sorry Steve, I accidentally hit a button and it sent through my post before I wanted it to. Its complete now.

  18. An issue that I see that popped out right away is the helmet frown. It appears that you are trying for an ANH Stunt so you need to extend the frown a little further. Look below. I'm sure you will get a lot of information posted on your makerofthings armor. But what is this armor actually recasted from? Is it RS?
  19. Congrats chad. MTK is awesome stuff to work with. Excellent choice! Good luck on your build
  20. Hey Jaren. Sucks about the damage done to the armor. Don't get yourself down on all of it. You will fix it like it was brand new. Keep your head up and keep cruising along. You are getting there!
  21. Hey everyone! Its been since October when I last updated my post. I went EIB and then decided it was time to take a break from building for the holidays. I have still been around the boards daily though and have been staying up to date with peoples current builds. Well I have finally decided to try and take my armor to Centurion so my thread is back for now, I took all of Steve's (Gazmosis) suggestions to heart and want to really try and resolve my issues from my EIB submission. The first thing I have done is tried to fix my scope rail on my E-11. It was too high off of the barrel. It used to look like this: and now it looks like this... I think its much better but hopefully Steve will comment on it when he sees this along with anyone else. Next was my shin closure in the back. I have had a heck of a time with the shins closing especially my left. Well I figured out why by looking closely at them and I found this! Thats a big difference in the openings. I have already changed the elastic from black to white and I made the cover strip wider then before. It already looks better but does anyone have any suggestions on how I might fix this? Thanks for your help!
  22. Looking great John. Hopefully you will continue to have the time to cruise right through the rest of your build. You are making another awesome MTK.
  23. Welcome Aleksi. I think you may want to do some more research before you jump into anything. Have you decided on what type of Stormtrooper you would like to build? There are certain stormtrooper armors that fit certain body types better then others as well. Do you know if you are going to build the armor yourself or are you looking for the armor to come assembled? Are you looking for just basic approval or are you looking to achieve higher standards? You should certainly look at the getting started thread and then get an idea of what stormtrooper you would like to be first. Then read a lot of threads for information. Then after you read those threads you should read some more threads. This is a timely process and hobby. Do not rush into anything. Also is your 1000 Euros the max amount you would like to spend on the whole project or just the armor itself? Good Luck to you.
  24. Hey Sean things are looking good I can grant you one wish..check this link out http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28150-is-there-a-billhag-referencechart-compilation-somewhere/?hl=%2Bbillhag
