TK-78346 Request ANH Stunt EIB Status [WTF] [503]
starsaber25 replied to Ryth_'s topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hey stein! Looking good man! You should easily be the first WTF EIB! Good luck -
Hi Aaron. Most contacts are listed here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ For some reason for Troopermaster it doesn't say how to contact him but you can PM him at that same name here on the boards. Other contacts are: MTK Contact: mtk_armor@cox.net CAP-W Contact: PM Scootch here on FISD WTF Contact: PM Walt here on FISD Maybe I am missing one or two. If you are looking for emails only then I do not know Scootch's or Walts

I do not own an RS suit and I probably will never own one but I can't think of a time when I have read anything negative about RS. It always seems that RS owners always have glowing reviews on FISD. So why is this coming out now when there have been plenty of opportunities for people to come out? Is their quality and customer service slipping as of late? Or have these opinions always existed and it just needed someone to light the flame?

Feedback on T/MC MK II armor
starsaber25 replied to Millar007's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Wow they have done a lot of work to the kit since I first inquired about it a year and a half ago. I was able to use your link to see it and Tray has done a great job. I wonder how much different it is now from AP since they are both cast from GF2. -
Feedback on T/MC MK II armor

I can't get the link to work but Tray has Moncal so that is good stuff. Judging by the MKII I'm guessing you're going for ESB? -
Hey Jefferson. If you are looking to troop in the Efx then you would have a lot of work ahead of you to get it approved. Unless you were just planning on walking around the neighborhood or using it for Halloween. But the Efx is not very accurate and would not be accepted in 501st as is. Just google the Efx and start looking at it side by side with an accurate bucket that you see on here and the differences will stand out almost immediately.

5'7", 185lbs - armor recommendations?
starsaber25 replied to Millar007's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Mark is correct. You will pretty much fit into most armors. You height is on the lower end but it shouldn't be too much of an issue. And it all depends on where you carry your weight. I'm 5'8" and 190lbs well more like 195 right now and I have MTK which is very similar to ATA and it fits perfectly without any alterations. So you could probably go with ATA, MTK, CAP-W, TM, and AP says that his armor fits bigger people now. -
Originalstormtrooper.com ?

Timothy head to the getting started thread and take a look. There are a few more that aren't listed that are quality armors like MTK, CAP-W, WTF and NE. Do your research before you jump into any decision. You already made a huge leap by asking about shepperton. Good start! -
Hey there Derek and welcome to FISD! Good luck with your build!

Anybody on the vetted list and MTk would be a fine choice as well. I'm 5'8" and 190lbs and my MTK fits perfectly. -

Newbie with questions.

Hi Wyant and welcome to FISD! I am here to tell you that most everyone has been in your shoes at some point. Most everyone is nervous about that first cut and assembling their armor. I too first thought about having someone assemble my armor. But then I decided to give it a shot on my own and I am so happy that I did. The rewarding feeling you have when you look at your armor after you assemble it yourself is unexplainable. I am not very handy but I think I ended up doing a great job on my set. With the help of this great forum anything is possible and there are many experienced members here who will help you get through it. Good luck and have fun! -
AP ANH-S to ESB TK conversion?
starsaber25 replied to ComradeDave's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Hi Dave. I had my MTK helmet kit lying around because I have a Troopermaster ANH. I just started putting it together with the thought that if I want to go back and forth between ANH and ESB I could. There are minor differences between them. One is the frown on the helmet is black instead of grey. Also you will use decals for the tubestripes, traps, and tears.

The differences with the armor is you will need an ESB holster with the loops and it goes on the left side. The final difference is you will use the snowtrooper handguards.

There aren't too many differences. -
Well Greg as of today i am the proud new owner of a Hyperfirm and I also have the first generation Phoenix Props E-11 that I did originally with my build. While I am no expert in E-11s because for some reason this just doesn't hold my interest like the armor does, I can tell you that they are both great. Having said that, it all depends on what you are planning on doing with your weapon. The main reason I got a Hyperfirm is because to me it is not practical to take the PP out of the house. I feel like if I sneeze on it a piece will break off. While it looks amazing and very articulate I know it just wouldn't stand a chance if I actually wanted to go out on a troop with it. As far as weight goes I think the the PP probably weighs a touch more then the Hyperfirm. If you are looking for accurate then you would probably want to go with the PP. You have all of the pieces in that kit to build it to top of the line while with the Hyperfirm you would need to add a D-ring and I have the older mould so the power cylinders are not accurate. Also one is ready to go out of the box and the other one needs to be built. I hope this helps!

Ok so thoughts on this E-11?

Where, What and Whom To Avoid When Buying

Hi Dave. I believe this is the link you are looking for... http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31895-warning-evade-this-seller/ Also it appears that TK Armour also tried to force his way onto the getting started thread and you can check out that thread to see how it turned out. I would steer clear! -
Trogdor's first build (mtk)
starsaber25 replied to Trogdor's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Hey looking good Joe. As far as the ear ranks go I believe it is up to you. It appears that most people paint two bars together and then have a space for the third one. I believe the accurate color for the vocoder and the frown is satin black. That is what I used for mine. And here is a picture of the chin on my troopermaster helmet that was done by Paul. Great work that is right there isn't it? When I did mine, I tried to copy that and it is not even close to as nice! -
Welcome to FISD Ty. I guess I am a little confused by your question(s). Are you looking to build armor and make it a stormtrooper or are you looking to experiment with armor and make it look somewhat like a stormtrooper but different? If you are just worried that you are going to make a bunch of mistakes but are intending on building armor to be a stormtrooper then you are jumping in the same boat as many new members here. Everyone makes mistakes especially if you are doing it for the first time. All of the fears and anxiety go away after you start working on your builds. This is why the FISD is here! We are here to help guide you through the information and your build so you will eventually feel comfortable. You should reach our to your local garrison and see if you can possibly meet up with members and have a build party if you do not feel comfortable. There are a great selection of armor to choose from and it all comes down to your body type. I hope this helps. And again welcome!

Trogdor's first build (mtk)
starsaber25 replied to Trogdor's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Jamie is right Joe. ESB is still an awesome version. I am actually in the process of making the extra items so I can switch back and forth between ANH and ESB when I want. I am currently making my MTK bucket as ESB and will hopefully be done with it when I get over the nerves of trimming the ears again. Anyway I took measurements on the Darman neckseal and I dont know if it is on purpose or by accident but there are two measurements. It alternates between ribs and I came up with 5/16 Inch and then 3/8 inch. Again I don't know much about neckseals so I don't know if this is the accurate measurements or if this is the way Darman likes to make his. -

I have a Darman neck seal Joe and I will take a measurement of his for you when I dig it out. I don't know the measurement off the top of my head.

Got any pictures of your test fitting?

I know it's hard when your building armor and you have some questions that go unanswered. I will make an extra effort to stay up to date with you. the ESB threads just don't get as much attention as the ANH threads which is unfortunate. -
Also if you have not checked out the tutorial videos over at trooperbay.com then you should do so. That is a great resource to use as a guide.

Good luck.
