TK-13881 Requesting ESB EIB Status [MTK] [534]
starsaber25 replied to Trogdor's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hey Joe you did an outstanding job! Another MTK kit that was put together with perfection. Should be an easy one! Good Luck. -
Pyrates AP Build and Journey to The 501st
starsaber25 replied to Pyrates's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Hey Aaron. I've come to this party late but you are doing an awesome job. Your helmet is looking great! Nice job with the teeth. I'm with the other guys...paint the helmet. Get the stencils from trooperbay. Unless your emperor like my emperor got tired of seeing money get sent to poway California all the time. -
Hi shay. As good ole Ian said sizing will not be a problem. I just recently wore my MTK at 198lbs and I'm 5'8". I have not done any extra work to my set to make it fit. MTK will certainly work for you as well as the new AP, AM and I believe TM. However as Ian pointed out the prices may be an issue. But this is not a cheap hobby! But at least now you know you can fit!!!

Chris I have rounded corners on my coverstrips because I like the looks of it and I passed for Centurion. -

Darth Aloha's Anovos ANH TK Build
starsaber25 replied to Darth Aloha's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Well this will be a fun thread to watch. I already chuckled a few times. And should we assume that the one day Eric doesn't sign his name at the end of a post that it's an imposter? -
Classic strapping system vs snaps opinion
starsaber25 replied to Pledford's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
Well I use the classic method but that is just because I wanted it to be as screen accurate as possible. I haven't had any problems with it and I like how it holds up. But I haven't worn an armor with the snap method so I cannot compare the two. I do like the idea of the snap method because you would be able to break everything down into pieces. -
Applying Trooperbay helmet decals?
starsaber25 replied to TheLoneRanger's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Yeah Steve I don't know what happened to yours. Mine looked the same. Hopefully they look great now that you got them off. -
Applying Trooperbay helmet decals?
starsaber25 replied to TheLoneRanger's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Ha Sleep is over rated! I just put ESB decals on a helmet from trooperbay the other day. I didn't have any problem and they just peeled right off. My stickers are probably from a year ago so did he redo them? Are they ripping when you are trying to take them off? -
Armor: ā Boots: ā E-11: Uh...help please
starsaber25 replied to ELK's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
I know hyperfirm was mentioned. Look for slavefive in the for sale threads. You can send him a Pm for his current pricing and offerings. -
Hey Phil. Like what everyone has said so far is I think you will have plenty of time. It all comes down to how much time you can allocate to work on it. Most importantly , have fun while building it!

Just want to echo everything that has been said already. Great armor and do not hesitate to click buy it now or contact him at mtk_armor@cox.net

Magma Build - Help please :-)
starsaber25 replied to krazytrooper's topic in Tutorials, Tips and HOWTOs
Rocky, Steve (gazmosis) is an expert around here so his insight is gold. I used his tutorial on trimming my ears and I suggest you look at that as well. Otherwise have you looked at Mikes videos on trooperbay.com? That is a good video you can use as guidance as well. -
Those TM helmets are so nice. And a great comparison between them and the Anovos. I would take the TM's all day. However, Anovos has certainly done a nice job with a helmet that is being mass produced.

Hi Nick. The first post is up to date. The only one that is not in business anymore is TE2 and you do not want to get a FX kit. So any of the other armor makers are available and ready. You will be able to go with any kit at 5'6". You may have to make some extra mods to them all but it won't be too difficult.
-
Well Michael thanks for clearing some of that up. Unfortunately there are many people being influenced by the things they are reading lately whether for the good or for the bad. I cannot read minds so therefore when i see you writing the words "I," I am comprehending what I read and that means you are saying this about yourself. I just hope that no one else felt the same as me and taking this for a real statement.
-
And this is too bad to think that someone would actually think this is an option. There are so many people working hard to try and welcome all of the new members who have joined this forum that have purchased the Anovos armor. This is not the spirit that anyone should have. There should be no divide.
-
Michael you have been very vocal on Anovos armor and you have every right to be. You have the armor and that is what you are proud of. I have MTK armor and I love it and I'm proud of it even though it is not on the vetted list. Having said that I wouldn't sit here and make an empty threat that I would call up Mickey Mouse and complain because the boys on the playground said I can't play with them. It just looks silly. We are here because we are all plastic spacemen that want to do good for our communities. If there are changes that need to be made then the powers that be will make them. If they are changes that you or I or anyone else would have to make, well we would have to make them to participate in this charitable group. It is all okay in the end. We all need to work together to make sure that we are the best looking costuming organization in this world.

Wolfpup's Anovos Build Thread
starsaber25 replied to Wolfpup's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Hi Eric and it's good to see your build thread pop up. Stuff like the neck seal are probably going to be some of the things that are going to be an issue with mass produced stuff. Like what was mentioned you should contact Darman. You can give him your neck measurements. -
Ok gotcha. Yeah like Chris mention you can get replacement brow trim from trooperbay.com. Mike has many items that is kind of like a one stop stormtrooper building store.

I gotta say that the MTK bucket is beautiful ain't she? Have fun Clint!
