  1. I haven't heard of anybody getting them. But according tho their website it says that completed ensembles will start shipping in quarter 2. However there are holds on new orders. Also all of the remaining kits are sold out. I have a feeling that we won't be seeing any new Anovos stormtrooper kits for a very long time. They still haven't even started shipping older orders of costumes that they promised some time ago. They have to get to those at some point and it seems like they can really only do one full costume at a time.
  2. RTrooperAlex they do not do FO troopers. Right now it appears that Anovos does it which there is a VERY long line to get one and I believe you already have to be a member of the 501st. Besides that there are a couple of fan sculpts available. It is still few and far between for First Order. Take a look at this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34166-first-order-stormtrooper-resource-guide/
  3. Joe congrats on getting your approval! If there is anything I may suggest is to get your shoulder bells to rotate in a little more so there is not as much black showing between your chest and your bells. However, I would wait until after your troop to make that minor adjustment. You built yourself a fine set of armor and you should be proud! Have fun on your troop!
  4. Hey Mitchell. Yeah I think that if you asked most people they would agree you can call them anything that is publically listed on their profile. If someone doesn't want their name out there then I think they would put a nickname where their name is supposed to go. Like Joseph said we are all brothers and sisters who share a love for white spacemen. Things can be taken out of context every now and again but it is few and far between and the members will just sort it out amongst themselves. Hope this helps: Steve, starsaber25, centurion, Expert infantry, supporter 2015, Imperial Attaché, hey you, guy, fella, brother.
  5. John thats great! Congratulations! I'm sure it was a blast!
  6. Well here is some info ref hotel stays. I looked into the Hilton and the Clarion. The Hilton was $200 a night and the Clarion was $169 a night. Unfortunately keep in mind that it is going to be most kids school break and its Easter weekend. So everything is going to be inflated from the hotels, flights, and rental cars. I am interested to see what people have to say here as well because I have never been to a Celebration either. But I have my room booked at the Hilton from Thursday to Sunday and it was $709 for the three nights with taxes and fees.
  7. Hey John. Just based on the information you have provided I still think MTK would be an excellent choice for your size. You may also want to look into the new AP kit as well
  8. Hey Chris. You've got yourself a beautiful set of armor there. Good luck!
  9. Hi Gary. Well RS has been transparent. In case you have not seen the photos located in the photo references gallery here it is: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/album/59-the-rs-suit/ Here are photos of the actual suit RS has in its possession. So the lineage is there for everyone to see. And as far as the parts that were missing members here have stated which parts they are. Paul (troopermaster) certainly knows what they are because he gave them some parts so they can complete the suit. I have no dog in this fight at all because I think everyone has a choice and whatever choice they go with is completely up to them. I own a MTK suit and that is considered questionable. BUT I don't care because that is the armor I chose because that is the armor that was right for me. However, RS certainly isn't hiding anything that you are leading on.
  10. Great job IPM! Another great newsletter! This is always a great time of the month to see what is going on out there.
  11. Hey Steve and welcome to FISD! Take a look at that getting started thread that was provided by Hugh. That will have most of the information you are looking for. All of the various armors fall within a wide range of prices. TM and RS on the higher side and ATA, AM, MTK on the lower end. They are all great sets of armor. Just make sure you do your research before making your very important purchase. It will be a big monetary commitment and you want to be happy. Good luck!
  12. Marc TM is a great choice. From what I hear is that the 1.5 will better withstand the vigors of trooping because it is more flexible.
  13. Hey Gage. Like Aaron said when you put a size into your Anovos order that is just for the soft goods. The armor itself you will trim to fit your body. The Anovos armor without many alterations will fit a person about 5'10 and a size 32-34 waist.
  14. Hey Andrew here you are again! Looking great! Are you going full time HWT now?
  15. Now I'll be in the new member area welcoming new troopers and helping them choose whichever armor is right for them and for what ever reasons that may be
  16. Wow I've been at work since I caught up with this thread at 8 this morning and this thread really blew up. This thread shows that we certainly have many very passionate members in regards to our white plastic spacemen. However remember everyone. We have a lot of proud owners of all different types of armor. We are all on the same team and we all love Stormtroopers and Star Wars.
  17. Hey there and welcome. I would highly recommend ATA or AP for you. You will be able to modify either kit to fit you. I would stay away from TKarmour as that is an older AM kit which you would probably need to replace the chest and back. And those are for the larger trooper. Good luck.
  18. Yes Matt please stay far away. Check out the getting started thread and you will see which vendors are good.
  19. Hey German. Well contact Walt at WTF. He is selling the Ginov2. Either PM him here on the boards or contact him on Facebook.
  20. Well hey Vard and welcome. I would say that at this point most armors are relatively the same as far as difficulty in regards to assembling them. As far as your height and weight I would consider looking into AM2.0. It is geared more towards the larger trooper. But it is also hard to go off of just weight. MTK and AP have made numerous adjustments to their armors and can fit a trooper up to a 38 inch waist without shimming. So I would recommend looking into those three armors. Have fun and keep doing your research.
  21. So Kev yeah I'm not sure what it means. I only know that I get emails from Anovos and the last one I received about TK armor there was a bubble on it that said only 50 left. I certainly don't have any inner knowledge of Anovos but I can only assume that they will put the TK molds away and try and fulfill these other costumes that they have promised. Maybe there is someone else that has better knowledge on this. Anyway Chad just reach out to ATA and ask some questions. I'm sure he will find a way to accommodate you. You are probably one of the few customers of his that have time on your side.
  22. Hi Chad. Well you have an interesting question on your hands. You are probably going to get a wide array of answers. Like Tolo mentioned there is no information on how well an Anovos set will hold up. ATA has a proven track record. I believe ATA is cheaper at this point. However ATA also had a long waiting period. Having said that I just saw something that Anovos said they are selling their last kits and have about 50 left and they don't have plans for another run. I mean they have to start focusing on fulfilling their other products at some point right? Both sets of armor have been assembled to absolute profection. I voted for ATA because I feel based on Anovos' track record at this point that once they sell out they probably won't provide anymore kits for a LONG time. Just my 2 cents.
  23. Awesome job Jaren! Congrats and welcome to EIB! Hope to see your centurion thread soon!
  24. Hey Ben and welcome. I would look into RT-Mod and AM. Those armors are geared forward the larger troopers. While all armors can be modified to fit the tall and/or large it would take some work.
