  1. Congrats Alberto!!!! Here we are! Another Centurion for ECG! You really did an awesome job and you should be proud.
  2. Hi Yu. Mike's email is mtk_armor@cox.net if you would like to reach out to him.
  3. That photo is awesome! Thats the first time I have seen that screen shot because I'm too lazy to pause the trailer. There is so much awesomeness in the photo! I'm ready to see it now.
  4. Sorry Joe. I mean painting. I think your teeth are cut out well. For the photos you should open a free account on imgur. That is a site that many people are using now to post photos. Trying to use the attach a photo function on this forum and pretty much every other is not working out too well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. oh and you should also go here and request 501st status:
  6. Looking good so far Joe. You said you were concerned about the gap in the ears. All I can tell from the photo above is the gaps look fine. The mic placement looks good as well. Can you show a better picture of the frown? I think you may need to go a little more. My first ANH helmet was built by troopermaster and I have used his as a guide since I've gotten it. I have always trusted his work because well he is the master. PS my brow is low because that is the way I wanted it at the time. Your brow is perfect.
  7. Simply amazing Alberto! This one should be easy. I hope that new members in our garrison will always look to your set of armor as an example of what every set should look like in the future. We would be one of the sharpest garrisons in the world. Good luck!
  8. I'm sorry to hear that this has ruined your weekend Jeff. As you have probably read by now, this is just the way a pre order goes with Anovos. I think that you have to realistically expect you will not have your armor until at least late winter or spring 2018. You would think that Disney must be getting tired of Anovos carrying their license and giving them a headache. I am too interested in how much longer they will stay in business. You have to wonder if people are starting to get the hint finally about them after all of the information has been posted on forums and social media. Are people finally hesitant on pulling the trigger with them on preorders? Is this a reason why they had to cancel the Shoretrooper run because of "lack of interest?" Is it lack of interest or are the customers just starting to get tired of them and inability to deliver items on time... Jeff if I can offer you any advice it would be to cancel your order and ask for a refund. Buy from someone on our vetted vendor list and you will be real happy in the end.
  9. Wow this whole thread was simply amazing. You are very talented Glen. Great work! I was never a real fan of the FOTK but I'm really digging this Executioner fella.
  10. Wow that was fast! Good job!
  11. Nice job Kalani!
  12. Hi Randy and welcome to the FISD. You should go into the new member area and start a thread to introduce yourself. Anyway, check out this link: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ All of the recommended sellers are "realistic." Now keep in mind that there are a bunch of us who bought stormtrooper armor and thought they would build it and display it. I was one of those people who wanted to build a screen accurate stormtrooper and display it in my finished basement. But while I was doing the building I decided it was way too cool to just sit on a mannequin. So I joined the 501st www.501st.com and my local garrison and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I hope you consider it in the end. Have fun.
  13. Darn. It's too bad to hear all of these stories. If you all are looking for armor that is of great quality, in the reasonable price ranges and in North America then I would say AP, MTK and WTF would be your best bets. They are all great choices.
  14. Yeah sorry Corey. Unfortunately this is Anovos' M.O. I'm still really surprised that after being in business for this long now that they have still failed to become a reliable company. Even more shocked that Disney allows this. If I ever at this point buy Anovos products they will have to be in stock. I know you have had a lot of time and money invested in this purchase at this point, and I'm sure it is hard to just walk away from, but I think I would at this point. You will be very happy when you finally received the product but you will probably be a lot more happier just buying another set from one of the other vendors.
  15. Yes Tino congrats on your approval! It's interesting to hear how many people had the same plans when they first started off. I too was going to just build a TK and stick it on a mannequin. I'm always happy to hear the people who change their minds. It has been a fun few years for me. Have fun going out there and trooping! I hope to see your EIB and Centurion applications soon.
  16. Congrats Patrick and welcome to the battlefield!
  17. WHHOOO HOOO! Check out that nice new shiny badge under your name! Congrats Alberto! That Centurion badge will be under there very shortly.
  18. The 501st Legion's Empire City Garrison attended the NY Yankees 2nd Annual Star Wars night at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, NY on Friday August 25th, 2017. This was an open invite in which fellow lfl groups the Rebel Legion, Empire Saber Guild, The Mandolorian Mercs, and the R2 builders club were invited and attended as well. ECG troopers arrived around 4pm. The Star Wars character role started at 5:30 pm when the stadium doors had opened up. All Star Wars characters were set up in groups and spread throughout the stadium to do photo ops with the fans as they filed in for the game. After an hour of photo ops all characters were brought to the field entrance and then were all lined up to march onto the field. After the most recent trailer for Star Wars Episode 8 “The Last Jedi” was played on the big screens through out in the stadium, the character march on the field began. Led by Kylo Ren, Darth Vader, and Darth Maul the characters marched out into the field and awed all of the fans in the stadium. After the march, ECG Troopers stayed on the field and lined up at the field entrance for the umpire introduction. The umpires were announced and then entered the field through a wave of Imperial troopers. After the umpire announcements Darth Vader escorted a child who was chosen to throw out the first pitch of the game. This was truly the special moment of the night as the stadium looked on and cheered the little hero on the mound. Overall this was a fun event which was capped off with the Yankees providing us dinner and suites to watch the remainder of the game in. Big shout out and congratulations to Bill Schreiber and Karl Zarek on this event being their first troops! Congratulations and great job guys! 19. Yeah congrats Alberto. I can't get enough of seeing your armor. Awesome job!
  20. Wow seriously Alberto, this is some beautiful work. You have done an amazing job on your build. Thanks for allowing me to the opportunity to follow you along on your journey. Let's bring another EIB to the ECG! Hey that hyperfirm looks familiar!
  21. Hello FISD! I came across this charity drive that is being hosted by Walts Trooper Factory. They are offering a patch and a sticker which will help support Team Rubicon as they volunteer their time to aid the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. I know many of you have probably already donated time and money to help our brothers and sisters in Texas but in case you haven't and you are looking for a way to help then here is a way to do so. Below are the informational links. www.waltstrooperfactory.com www.teamrubiconusa.org Troopers Helping Troopers

  22. So I think that should be fine. Also keep in mind that as long as you can get your head in there then it is a win. I don't even have that big of a head and I have to squeeze in. So it will rub on your head all the way until it's on.
  23. So ever since the debacle with photobucket I have been using imgur. I wish I made the switch a long time ago because imgur is so much easier. Anyway, what is the make of the helmet? There are size differences between the helmets. I have a TM and a MTK and my TM is more spacious then my MTK. If you haven't tried putting it on sideways like Glen has mentioned then make sure you do that. It is how most people put these things on. If you have done that and you still can't get it on then post a couple of photos of the bottom of it. Maybe you can trim more away without hurting the integrity of the bottom of it.
