  1. This is the reference I was talking about. Since Legion required a comic style (ie. inconsistent) backplate, I thought I might as well go with a simple one I liked, that had a clear reference photo
  2. Thanks Dday, I will definetly think about it Horseman, Yes I chose another pattern than Kev. I looked through the comic and the clearest picture of the backplate I could find, was the one, from where Joker Squad assaults up some stairs, and its cleary Jes' Backplate, so I went with that.
  3. Long time no progress... That have changed a bit now. The build is more or less done. Need to give the TD a final layer of paint, build the shoes and do some cleanup. Initial fitting of the belt(before the boxes and some random boots my wife had lying around(just to see how it looked with white boots) Belt boxes attached Since a Comic style backplate is required, I opted to build one of my own, based on reference from the comic book. Would have ordered one from Kev, but with the rediculous taxes and import fees here in Denmark, it seemed too expensive (it would be around 45$ total, plus shipping, because of taxes and fees!!) The comic style TD. Needs some touch up paint job. Otherwise just needs to be attached And I found some shoes, with a sole I liked. Had some leftover vinyl, from my TB, so I'm trying for my own shoe build
  4. Very cool (Althoguh its probably hotter than a stroll on Tattoiine )
  5. Tonight we have done some strapping and fitting of the thighs. We are slowly getting somewhere... Please ignore the butt plate for now. It will be fixed The thigs needed a bit of cutting, but I think they turned out quite allright And just to show you what scale we are talking here. Thats my TM on my bodyfitted mannequin )
  6. Please... Do share the trolls
  7. Rivets to be place like this Note, that on normal TK helmets, there are also a rivet connecting the helmet at the tubes. Both rivets are covered by the ear
  8. Remember to put the rivet under the ears Ears should only have screws in them
  9. I remember finding this in a store, when I was 8 or 9... Didnt like it then, sure dont like it now
  10. Ulf have been making progress with the return edges last sunday, and I have assembeled most of the pieces. TIP: If you are going to make return edges, spraying your Heat sealing iron with silicone greatly helps the iron run along the plastic, instead of just sticking to it and melting it!!! I also learned, that making goop from HIPS, is not really the same as making goop from ABS Cant do much about the way the armor lacks conforming to the human anatomy...but still. We are getting there. Just checked the CRL and we are aiming for EIB approval Will never go Centurion, without at least a new Chest and backplate though!
  11. Those who know me, probably also know about my first Stormtrooper armor. Complete ripoff, bought from Jedi-robe/stormtrooper-costumes.com. Crappy FX armor made of Polystyrene plastic. I had it approved, but only wore it once, before getting me a TM suit. You can find of my Fanmade Vs. Commersial armor thread on theese boards, to see a comparrison between theese two suits. Anyways, I have given the old armor to a friend of mine, and we have started the slow process of making it fit him (he is tiny ) as well as trying to make it look better, meaning, cutting the pieces, so they have same form as my TM and giving it all return edges(!!!!!) We have been working only a few days now, but wanted to show the pictures of the process so far. First, we just put the armor on him...as is Then we started cutting, sanding and heat bending...comparing as best we could, to my TM along the way. Making return edges, really does a lot for this armor!! But damn... takes sooo much time to do! Stay tuned
  12. A T-21 on the back, using its sling. E-11 in holster on one side. SE-14 holstered on the other. DLT in left hand and Rocket launcher in the right. And dont forget the binoculars around your neck
  13. Technicaly... I would say yes. You could have a holstered E-11, since the CRL says its optional, but it dont specify how many guns you can carry. The standard TK can have a DLT and a holstered E-11, so I dont see why the HWT shouldnt be able to do the same
  14. What Dday said Hengstler and cylinders are not required for the standard approval...where E-11's are optional accesories
  15. I'm just surprised that they accepted the helmet, wich was sculpted after the GG statue, while demanding another backplate, because it didnt look like the comics... What is the LMO smoking, and where can I get some??
  16. LOL Well, did she like the DLT??
  17. Really like "the big gun" you made. Looks great
  18. Well, its an MG42. I belive Dengar is the only one in SW using that weapon.
  19. Thats an MG42
  20. It even has the O II detail in the back
  21. Just wondering about something strange... The approved Fem-TK is accepted with the Knee type, helmet and DLT, all directly from the GG statue, instead of the comicbook style(s), but they cant accept the backplate detail, TD canister and boots...?? What are they smoking in Legion HQ, and where can I get it??
  22. Congrats on the approval!! Although, I still dont understand the double morale of Legion command... Morale is good, double morale...twice as good??
  23. Yep. Alyona, the CO of Russian Outpost used the Jes armor, as her off-duty costume, for the Comi-con.
  24. Good to see you here as well. When you started the thread over at CTN, I did not realise you made other boots as well, so I have a question about your TB boots. The strap on the boot, on the picture, it looks like its squared off at the edges and are sewn to the sole of the boot and not a "bone" shape attached at the sides of the boot itself. Is this correct?
