  1. Whew! What a busy night, but I think I'm done with the cutting and trimming for now. Need to pick up some extra supplies today, so I can get the gluing up to speed. Only thing I havent touched yet, Is the ammo belt and drop boxes. I'll do theese when I get my canvas belt and Holster from TM. But let me know what you think, and please do tell if I have missed something.
  2. Thanks Already removed the return at the front, but think im keeping whats in the back and making it fit with the other piece.
  3. And cut it is. Sits perfectly now While im at the forearms, is there a special way with the return edge here? I have seen some have left it like this, and others have removed it. I was thinking of trimmind the ends, so it "melts" with the other piece...
  4. Yeah think you are right. And after looking at the pictures, it really do look like I need to make the cut.
  5. Did that right before I took this picture, and it didnt really pinch me, but still felt like I could use the space... I'll tape it back up and take a picture.
  6. To cut, or not to cut...thats really the question.
  7. Busy busy busy... Right leg in need of strips, otherwise trimmed and fitted. Might do something about the pointy ends, when the inner strip hve been fitted. Measuring twice, cutting once...then measureing and cutting again.
  8. Progress on trimming so far. Need to go get some more clamps and magnets... Thought I had enough, but didnt account for how many I have to stack on top of each other. So far only one back strip on the thighs, but they are ready to get the rest glued in. The sniper plate seems a bit odd, and have seen other TM builds where this was right, but have also seen builds where it were like mine. Should I trim the left side to match the right, or is this one of the intentional "mistakes" ??
  9. Split Rivets attached now. Thanks to Mathias TK-2959 for donating theese, but damn I hate those little things! Also, is this right? I'm fairly sure, but better safe than sorry
  10. A bit of test fitting.
  11. Slow and steady. Ab is trimmed and sanded, and the buttons is being painted. I also finaly got the courage to start glueing the first inner strip to the thigh.
  12. The truth is, that 3 month with the navy have made me gain a few extra pounds, and I am yet to go back to work with the army... So at one side I need the extra mm and on the other I dont... Thats why I thought that If i make the front right, I can always redo the back later... And the cover strip you see on the pic is 25mm, so yeah I probably should tae off a few more mm before glueing.
  13. They are rough cut, so I need to trim it all myself.
  14. Does this look right?
  15. My plan was to get the front as accurate as possible, and then slack a little on the back.
  16. Hey, I agree with you Build question: Just want to make sure, before I cut. The strip is 10mm... Should I cut and do the same on the other piece?
  17. My memory fails me right now... How wide should the coverstrips be on the arms and legs?
  18. That would be the greatlooking one (the right one) Yay EDIT: GArh Rick you beat me to it... Oh well. At least I now know how to post pictures
  19. It finally arrived, after some trouble with the post office! I will be posting a few pics along the way, if i remember I will be uploading most of my build pics on Photobucket http://s1167.photobucket.com/albums/q62 ... M%20build/ Still havent figured out how I upload pictures directly here...
  20. Wow thats cool guys! Great job
  21. Centurion is to go as screen acurate as possible, but still intended for the public eye. As I recall scuffed/worn boots is a recuirement for Centurion. But the gaffers/duckt tape solutions was last minute fixes in the movies, and therefor not really screen acurate(although it is. Get my meaning?). But you can choose to do with your armour as you want. Afterall it is yours and you should do with it what you want, and not what the other kids think is cool But for EIB and Centurion status, I think you should keep to the requirements in the CRL. If I'm wrong, then somebody please correct me.
  22. Just remember that if its dark and you turn on your LEDs inside your helmet, you wont be able to see a thing, althoug people will be able to see your eyes, and maybe even your face, quite clearly.
  23. Actually, i think the only visible off-screen feature allowed for Centurion, is the mesh underneath the frown, to help hide your skin when in public.
