  1. Btw, does anybody have a good picture of the inside of the belt??
  2. Was kinda aming for it hehe...and the troop this weekend But I think Rolf and Paul might be some tough guys to beat :ninja: Well I'm done sewing now, and the girlfriend is parked on the local pub for a cocktail night, so I'm free to work on the last bits. Here are the soft parts. Top is the resized belt from TM. I havent dared cut it anywhere, until I have tried it on again, and made sure its the correct size. Middle is my thigh strapping belt. Made two different kinds of thigh straps, just to be sure I have something that fits. And the bottom is the elastic for the forearms and biceps. I have decided to glue this in anyway, so it have been reinforced in each end with some webbing. I will be adding the snaps tomorrow, when I have measured with the thighs. To do list as of now: Strapping. Thats it folks
  3. Well, its been 6 days now, and as soon as the E6000 have cured, I believe its finished. To do list for tonight: Go have dinner with my Grandma...so I can borrow her sewing machine and get the belt resized Sew the straps for the thighs(elastic reinforced with webbing in each end). Attach the thigh ammo belt Finish the belt with holster. Should all be complete in about 24 hours
  4. Awesome, thanks. So this would be the correct placement on the right bicep?
  5. Well I'm at the last two pair of snap plates. The ones connecting the biceps to the forearms. But as far as I know, its not as simple as to just put them in the middle, right? Anybody got a picture of where to attach them? I know the screen used suits didnt have the snaps, but I'd like to take all the individual parts, well...apart.
  6. So just right across thanks
  7. Shoulder bells...how tight should the elastic in them be?
  8. Well I can always leave it out and then just put it in later if I want to So point taken But with the belt... I need to shorten it a bit, as its aprox 10cm to long. I'm thinking taking 5cm of each end and reattach the velcro. Where the front will be attached. The blue tape shows where the overlapping part of the belt ends.
  9. Need to resize the belt a bit. There are already elastic loops on the drop boxes, and have seen the snap solution somewhere else, and thats what I'm going to do Also, should I have the bend or the sew line on the canvas pointing up?
  10. I'm guessing this would be the correct way to attach the pieces to the belt?
  11. Yeah, the postal service worked this time 2 days getting from England to Denmark is really quite impressive.
  12. Okay then I will leave the gap AND YAY!!!! Look what my room mate just brought up from the mail box (blaster not included hehe)
  13. That was my plan... Not sure I follow you here?? Why wouldnt I need a strap connecting the bicep to the bell??
  14. Yep, that exactly what I meant But I'm just gonna cut the thigs to begin with, and see if the shins still bother me after that. Have tried the chest on now, and think it fits. Also, just to be sure, this would be the correct place to fit the snap plates and elastic in the shoulder and bicep area?
  15. Really??? But its so big...and yes I mean the front...I might cut a bit of the back thigh and maybe shin. The thigh is gnawing at the back of my knee.
  16. Thanks But yeah the sniper plate might get replaced in the future. I also want to fill the gap at the bottom of the thighs.
  17. Thanks for the tips guys. I found out that a modified chineese chop stick worked very well Time for some update pics!! The belt is still my old one, but hopefully I will get the new one from TM today or tomorrow The chest straps are done as well, but still need a few taps on the back. I might have been to eager to get the sniper plate flush fitting with the shin...It been warped a bit on the left side...
  18. Really? No cutting or rubbing it of???
  19. Finally...most parts ready for next step. But any advise on removing that ugly blob of E6000 leftovers? Sorry for the blurry picture, but my camera dont like the white shiny ABS up close...
  20. yeah... I should have exspected that... But oh well. Now I have an excuse to stay up late...again. The first parts ready for further work will be at 2208 (UTC: +01:00), and the last at 0519, so I have plenty of time for making snap plates...now that I dont need any more cover strips...and get the forearms finished.
  21. Great build man For the weathering, why not let it weather itself? It comes really fast, and looks more natural than if you did it yourself. But looking good either way
  22. Aaaaand my workspace(kitchen) looks like a war zone...
  23. So the build have been veeeery slow since my last post (I'm blaming Sparrow for Jinxing me :ewok1: ) Mostly its the back of the shins that were giving me a hard time. But they are curing now, so all is good. All outer and inner strips have been added and are either curing or have cured...except for the forearms! They have been left out again, but at 5 am this night/morning, I didnt really have the energy to sand them and glue the strips in...That will be done today. So the few progress pics I have. Oh yeah, almost forgot. I have had this donoe for some time now, just forgot it.
