  1. Made a 20mm rail, and I actually like it
  2. Thanks. I had measured the outsides of the rear iron sight and that was 15mm, but the rear foot of the scope is 20mm. Might as well make one of each to see what looks the best.
  3. Oh yeah, what is more correct for the rail. 15mm or 20mm?
  4. The result after my trip to the hardware store. Wasnt sure wich width the scope rail should be, so I bought a 15mm and a 20mm aluminium bars. They are 3mm thick, so they should be able to hold my original M/40 scope. The long L-shaped aluminium bar is for the hengstler bracket. It cost next to nothing and is already bent. Alot of exces material though A question. As you can see i have bought two different hammer efect spray paint. I would like to use the silver paint first, and then apply a coat of regular black spray. Whadda you guys think? Should I go this way, or will the black hammer effect paint work beter?
  5. Thanks, but I know I'm kind of a veteran model builder(a lot of Forgeworld models) so I know how important it is to have clean surfaces before assembly But I have been out getting supplies now, and will continue the build right after dinner Only thing i forgot to get was a suitable spring, but maybe I'll just use an old airsoft spring. they are a bit slender though, but will work for now.
  6. Yeah its really an insult to all things E-11! The end cap is not glued. Its functional, and I'm in the progress of making a rear bolt for it. Going to the stores today, to get the rest of what I need for this build. Screws for the front(and a drill large enough to remove the resin ones) Scope rail and material to make a bracket for the Hengstler. Have given it a bit of test paint now, and just noticed I forgot to glue on two things... Can you spot them?
  7. Oh yes indeed! E6000 is great for armour building, but with resin super glue is the key And thanks
  8. This is going to be sweet! Come on guys, sign up!!!
  9. Calling the Hasbro mod done. Dont want to throw any more time into this little side project. Hoping to go to the hardware store tomorrow and pic up a few items for the complete kit and maybe something to start on the pipe build. Pictures: Had to make comparisons Hasbro Jedirobe SDS
  10. I'd go the wonky way. When you are wearing the armour, it all looks alot better. I had the same doubts like you during my build, but as Paul says, wonky is good
  11. Rubies means you would be ROTJ(more or less) centurion... Go for Rubies. Its kinda silly and something of a challenge
  12. Thanks And almost forgot. The endcap and loading handle aint glue in yet. Did like in Martins Doopy build(the one thats pinned) and are going to make a spring and back bolt as well
  13. Sooooo much faster just working with super glue. Need to make a scope mount and bracket for the hengstler. Otherwise just a few touch ups with bondo and its time for paint
  14. Well... for some reason E6000 failed me comletely on the complete build, so now I'm going to use the same glue as i usually use when assembling resin model kits. The only part that didnt break off was the handle, and the E6000 between the body and the mag housing was still wet after 5 days!
  15. Ahh... stupid me
  16. Why do you need furniture???
  17. Then write shawn now He answers real quick on email
  18. Just ordered myself an SE14-R And a little progress on the E-11's
  19. No problems here. I'm using Mozilla.
  20. A bit of progress Got inspired from another Doopy build
  21. Simply amazing, and what an eye for detail!! Thats also why I will come with just a tiny bit of nitpicking. As far as I know, The screw you used for the grip, is not the safety. This screw, locks and unlocks the grip, and on a real sterling, your grip would fall off right now, as its in the free position. The real safety is a part of your selector switch. The selector groups on the sterling shows, from left to right: A=automatic. R=Repetition. S=safe. But I must agree with skunky. This is by far the most acurate scratch built sterling, I have EVER seen!!! EDIT: And should you ever make this as a kit, I'd definetly buy one
  22. Yeah I have thought about that... Its weird though. There are no problems what so ever, getting what you order, but send them an email with a request to buy something, and they go silent... weird marketing technique
  23. Think your biggest problem with this bucket, is that its FX. But your inside is still just beautiful
