  1. The plastic shoulder straps need to be held down in the back via a white elastic band to the white fabric that connects/bridges the chest and back piece. Tomorrow I'm headed an hour south to Kona to the only fabric store that doesn't require a boat or a plan to get to. I'm wondering about the elastic holding down ANH shoulder straps to the back plate. In a typically obsessive move I read about 20 of the 40 pages of all occurrences of the word "elastic" on the FISD forums and found one reference to 1/4" white elastic. How wide do you think it should it be? Aloha and thanks, -Eric
  2. I spy a &lt and a &gt Seems to be the case in most of the (awesome) tutorials. 9. Bubba Fett's BBQ Darth Grill will lure you to the dark side of the ribs I keep trying to come up with something having to do with Dark Lord of the Sauce... rather than Sith.. but I just can't put it together. Witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle grill! Too bad someone already took "Grillenium Falcon": Ok now I'm just bored... R2 smoker (This is uber-texan Philip Wise from Rebel Scum's R2 unit): Grill apron anyone? Ok I'm going back to work now... Aloha nui, -Eric
  10. Also I found Jorran's TK Shopping List helpful. Aloha, -Eric
  11. While I'm sorry that Jorran has to redo all of his naps... cause that sucks considering that he's in the home stretch... I'm really glad I read this before my armor arrives. What's funny is that all the threads I've read (and I spend a ton of time reading build threads) have gone on and on about vario pliers. This is the first thing I've read that say they suck. I hope I can find the little anvil thing on island rather than paying even more outrageous shipping fees. Aloha and thank you, -Eric
  12. Looking great botherman. How's it feel to finally be all suited up? Aloha, -Eric
  13. That's the one. Often found at target and wallyworld too. Aloha, -Eric

  17. Whoa! It doesn't even look like the same object from the first post. Great looking blaster... can't wait to see it all black and mean looking. Aloha, -Eric
  18. Darnit! If I only had 14 silver dollars I could get me one of these Han Solo blasters (or maybe a leopard print cane with a horse's head.) Aloha, -Eric
  19. There's always the IPB iPhone app that provides a spiffy interface to the improved mobile theme: http://www.invisionpower.com/suite/iphone/index.php Aloha, -Eric

  21. I'm a total neophyte and still waiting for my kit to arrive... But these are the same brand magnets I purchased from amazon. I bought 4 packs of 6 of the 3/4" x 1/8" discs. Aloha, -Eric
  22. After the requisite mourning period over the loss of Stukatrooper flickr stream... I spent way too much time the other night reading every post in the assembly forum that had the word "snaps" in it. 13 or so pages worth. If it wasn't obvious to previously, I officially have the white plastic virus. I could have saved time if I had found this first. These are great quality photos of exactly how I plan to strap my armor... which is due to arrive September-ish from Rob of RT-MOD. So thanks to everyone... especially Troopermaster and Dmian for this thread. The only thing I'm missing for my build (besides armor) are snaps from Tandy. They shipped them parcel post a month ago Aloha nui, -Eric
