  1. First coat laid down on tears etc. Will tidy up the black once the second coat of greys done. Still need advice on the teeth.
  2. I guess the easiest way would be to bypass the push to talk button, and put in an on/off switch. Which would need a bit of solder work, but then you would have an option to have a constant open mic. Don't think that that would trigger the static burst though as I assume the burst kicks in when you release the speak button.
  3. Please could someone chime in as I don't want to begin until I know I'm on the right track. Thanks
  4. Thank you... ordered! How are the teeth markings looking?
  5. Also the following paints are in gloss? Humbrol admiral grey no 5 Humbrol black no 21 Humbrol french blue no 14
  6. Do these pencil lines look about right in preparation to paint on the teeth?
  7. Am pretty sure that the above example is correct. As long as the underside meets up with the molded line on the shin all is good. I may be wrong though.
  8. Hello! I am in the middle of my first build and was wondering how to fit my lenses. I have two individual lenses and can't figure out how others fit them to their lid. Advice would be much appreciated
  9. At the bottom of the sniper plate? They're only going to be slight gaps either side though, no? Can you post a pic of it married up from the bottom, or have you glued it already?
  10. That's it, all I was thinking was if I mess this up its gonna cost another hundred and whatever for a new one. Did it cost much more for him to build it?
  11. Do you not work from the middle out? I mean, get the bottom lined up and flush in the middle, then line up the sides? Don't take this for gospel, I'm sure someone with more experience will chime in
  12. Sorry to hear that mate. Hope she's ok. I got fed up with trimming so did some work on the helmet. Man, those ears are a nightmare! I was so nervous trimming out the eyes and teeth too, as I didn't want to remove too much material. I'm glad that's out of the way! Again, hope your mum feels better soon.
  13. Eight hours later... How's do they look? Too much of a gap?
  14. Here's a hearing assist kit. I may be wrong but I think its the same kit (or very similar) which Tony builds and uses as the basis for his kits. You have to solder it yourself, but a very reasonable price.
  15. Partial assembly, ready for the ears. Not looking forward to this bit.....
  16. Yeah he's really nice, always willing to help.
  17. All trimmed out. Do I need to take anymore off, or is it good to move along?
  18. More rough trimming done. Got bored and my hands are so sore from those lexan scissors ! I thought I would begin to tackle the helmet. How's the eye looking?
  19. I wouldn't worry too much about it mate. Have you trimmed all the kit yet? I've just started rough trimming today. Got the biceps bells and for arms done. Will be starting to do the chest back etc tomorrow so I'll have a look at mine then. Here's my WIP... http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?/topic/38021-CTID's-RWA-ANH-Stunt-WIP......-501st-Here-we-go!
  20. Began rough trimming today. So far the bells biceps and forearms done. Onto the torso tomorrow.
  21. On my last build I didn't fix my aker to my chest plate. I just used the neck strap. I also thought that the volume needed to be higher than it was, but then I got feedback. I turned it down until the feedback stopped, got my son to throw on the armour and tested again. I was surprised that the volume level was good, despite what I initially thought was too low. Also had the speaker facing away from me. Does that make sense?
  22. Onto my next build.... http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?/topic/38021-CTID's-RWA-ANH-Stunt-WIP......-501st-Here-we-go!
