  1. Here you can find a lot of information about sanding, painting and polishing an armor: -----
  2. Looks like you had a lot of fun taking these pictures! Presenting the armor for the fist time is always a very "memorable" moment for the owner. I`d say: "Looks good, go on heading for EIB!" My suggestion would be you should try to close the gap between the chest and back/kidney plate if you really want to go for EIB. Only a little bit of your black underwear is shining through but it should not be seen at all. Maybe you could install some shims.
  4. I`d vote for the real one too.
  5. Great news to hear! I`m looking forward to see some pictures and I`d really appreciate it if you decided to make other versions too!
  6. I don`t think that`s av problem at all. You don`t need to cut them back. In my case my ab and back plate overlap too and it was absolutely no problem to get EIB. If you want to look: ----- So not even for EIB you have to cut them back. Im not absolutely serious but if you look at pictures of Stormtroopers in the Star Wars films their plates overlap too. These actors were quite skinny guys.
  7. It says on ebay it`s made out of rubber coated lycra. It looks very shiny to me and I can`t imagine it beiing very comfortable too.
  8. Smitty is offering them too: --------
  9. Also ich muss ehrlich sagen, ich werde jetzt daraus nicht ganz schlau. Mit wem willst du Kontakt aufnehmen? Mit DA, oder jemand anderem?
  10. Hi there, Have you already taken a look at the sectin "Getting started - Read this first!"? There you can find a great thread presenting the various makers of armors and giving advices for body measurements. Maybe this could help for a first overview! "I am trying to lose weight because, usually, bigger parts are more expensive." Unless I`m very much mistaken the armors are normally not produced in different sizes. Maybe there are producers wich offer this service. Does anyone know?
  11. For the undersuit you could simply walk to your local shop for motorcycle-accessories and take a look at the offered black undersuits there. Normally they are perfectly enough for trooping. Often you can find there some usable gloves too.
  12. Hi, Maybe this thread can help: ------------
  13. "I believe that psychotherapy would have helped Anakin and might have prevented him from turning to the dark side." Just tried to imagine Anakin lying on some kind of couch and the psychotherapist asks him to tell him about his hopes, fears, dreams, nightmares, maybe little voices in his head and so on. I guess it won`t take long untill the psychotherapist kisses the dust wheezing or till he gets broiled by some Sith-lightnings! Well, that`s a good moment for a first: "I find your lack of faith disturbing!"
  14. Great job, your armor looks really good! There are just two things I would like to ask/mention: The holster should be attached to the belt using two fasteners instead of four. Are there 5 or 6 t-tracks on your blaster? It`s hard to see whether the lowest row on the non counter side is covered by a t-track or not.
  15. Maybe you could post a picture of your armor. Without it`s hard to tell whether it needs painting or not. I can only add I`ve got an armor made out of HIPS too and I didn`t have to paint it. How thick is your plastic? Maybe you could try different tools (scissors, Dremel multitool,...) on a piece you don`t need any more.
  16. Thank you very much!! A dream came true! I`m so happy, I nearly can`t believe it!
  17. Hello! Your armor looks really great and the photos are superb too! How did you survive the explosion of the first Deathstar?
  18. Hi, Finally I`ve managed to get the missing T-track on the non counter side. Here it is:
  19. At first thanks for the positive feedback and thanks for the information about the missing T-track too. I`m working on it.
  20. Hi everyone, After some work I`ve finally completed my armor and now I hope it`s worth EIB! Here it is: Honestly I have to add that I didn`t assemble the armor by myself. It`s an PT and he put it together for me. But of course I couldn`t put it on straight out of the packet. So I had to invest some hours of work to make it fit and to change some things to hopefully fulfill the EIB requirements. Thanks in advance! Eduard
