  4. what are your crl requirements for baldness? i have a receding hairline lol
  5. this is possible there are many ways to do this first you need rip the dvd to .avi http://www.wikihow.com/Rip-a-DVD-to-an-AVI-or-MPG-File-Using-DVDx then get a video editor software to cut and join the scenes you want you can purchase software (i got a few lol)Corel Video Studio is ok and easy to use, or you can do all this with VirtualDub its free http://www.virtualdub.org/download here is a guide on how to split them http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/cut_avi_with_virtualdub.cfm'>http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/cut_avi_with_virtualdub.cfm here is a guide on how to join them http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/virtualdub_join_avi.cfm'>http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/virtualdub_join_avi.cfm after you create the movie you will need dvd burning software i recommend Nero vision, it has cool 3d menu functions also you need a lot of hard drive space, i do alot of video editing and have 600 gigs of hard drive (and i still need more space lol)for what you want to do i would say 200-300 gigs should be plenty this can be tricky if you've never done anything like this, but there are plenty of online resources to help http://www.videohelp.com http://www.afterdawn.com or you could get a comp geek to make it up for you lol
  6. the only problem im having is free web hosting only allows small file uploads i have to compress the files and chop them up into four parts.. i need about 1gb of server space to share the raw files. so this will take a few hours of work
  7. i got all the movie files uploading now, the quality is really good as the source is from laser disk, the only drawback is that they are Japanese laser disk and have subtitles, but otherwise the quality is much better than VHS and you wont have to worry about wearing out those old tapes
  8. im working on a compilation AVI file it will include (1985) From Star Wars to Jedi - The Making of a Saga (1980) SP FX - Special Effects - The Empire Strikes Back (1977) The Making of Star Wars ...as told by C-3PO and R2-D2 (1983) Classic Creatures - Return of the Jedi if i can find more i will add them also. this will probably take some time but if i can find a free hosting site that allows bigger files it may be available for direct download sooner
  9. now i cut along the lines with a dremel cutting wheel well i hit a small bump... it seems these newer rotary tools are utter garbage! the motor is toast i was able to combine parts from my other burned up rotary tool to make a franken dremel this is the finished result now i smoothed out the rough cut holes with a milling bit, then dremel and finally a hand file now i am starting on the barrel tip, first i took a piece of copper pipe with a coupler that fit perfectly into the barrel tip (i like to pressure fit almost all of my connections)the tighter the better now i pound it into the barrel with a mallet and wooden block (to prevent damage) net i make the barell tip from a other plumbung fixture, i used a hand file (trying to use the dremel as little as possible until my new one comes in the mail)

  14. added ammo drum (you may need to re-size this for slightly different pipe used)
  15. got this done today you can download the jpg here the barrel templates are here
  16. step 1: drilling the barrel first glue the templates to a 1/14 inch pipe with regular elmers glue drill the 1/8 pilot holes (a drill press and vise is most helpful) center any pilot holes that are off a bit with a small dremel bit (this will save a lot of work later) now drill out the pilot holes with a larger bit (i made the template for 1/4" but i used a slightly larger 9/32 bit)
  17. im putting this tutorial thread together for everyone. when completed i hope to have a full template set as well, i will post updates as the build progresses (i want to finish this asap!)just bear in mind this is going to be my interpretation of a mg-15 here are the templates i used for this barrel handle ( i increased the size by 1% when i printed) ammo drum ( i reduced the size of this when printing)
  18. wow amazing!!! this will make thing a lot easier
  19. hi there i just made my first mg-34, i used a collection of reference photos i found online if you like i could send a link to you if it helps, also i only used 3 of the templates from the bbc for rough sizing mostly (i had to modify them alot) if you like i could draw up some rough plans of my build from memory, i made the main body entirely different than any plans i could find online. just give me a shout and ille throw what i have together for you
  20. did you use clear acrylic or lacquer? lacquer tends to crackle when applied too thick and most common spray can lacquers never really dry fully. acrylic clear or polyurethane in my experience the safest way to go personally i would use acrylic. unless you have professional spay equipment.
  21. thanks this will be a most helpful addition to my reference library
  22. that's my plan im going to try to do a complete template set and maybe some pics or videos i couldn't find a whole lot of specs on this gun so i guess ill have to do it by eye again lol this build will hopefully get me my first armor
  23. i couldn't find any mg-15 templates so i made up these for 1 1/4 inch pipe you can download the jpg here hope this may help someone
