finishing the final assembly of the ammo drum ( i could barley fit all the electronics in the drum lol)
got some brand new scopes yesterday!!!
after paint and polish
i printed imperial crosshairs on transparency for the large infra red scope
done!!

4: working bolt action and trigger
5: 2x real scopes. an ultimate arms tactical scope and a tasco as well

im working on some of the small bits of detail parts before i get my armor, i am planning a incinerator trooper build. i need to make a customized shoulder pauldron for this(to get the proper look). does anyone have the sandtrooper shoulder pauldron templates in PDF format? i cant seem to find them anywhere... but i have heard they are out there...
any help would be appreciated
FOUND IT!!
i just bought a bunch of tubes at walmart... mine say amazing on the top and industrial on the side? i hope there is no difference.... i haven't even got armor yet:( but i like to be prepared..
i made a printable template for the light panels if you want them, i planned on putting them in my workshop for extra lighting. not sure on the size or accuracy but its a start
i have got those airsoft ones and there very close, more detailed than the bbc ones (the only thing i notice that was off was the original barrel diameter was not exactly1.5 inches) but the origonal manual Here tells the accurate length
if you find some better ones i want them 2 lol:D
for the ammo drum, i cut the basic shapes from thin wood paneling (to reduce the weight). i used the templates for the shape, but had to adjust the size a bit for the 4" plastic pipe (note: the pipe is not pvc)i cut the pipe with a dremel cut off wheeli then fit 2 4" Sony speakers in the ammo drum
i used vents from a PC case as the speaker covers
now the electronics
after soldering all the components
finally initial testing before installing
it is super loud!!!!
i am reaching the final build stages of my mg-15 (--------) i am at a loss on weather or not i should add a 20 watt amp and 2x Sony 4" speakers in the ammo drum.
i plan on selling the blaster sometime this weekend so any help would be appreciated:D i can do this but my main concern is the weight.
here is what the sound system i am planning looks like in a rough mock-up
the features i intend to induce are
1---------: selectable blaster sound board (
)
2: amplifier with mic input and direct blaster sound output
3: 2x 5 watt sony speakers
basically my plan is to make it a super loud blaster that also functions as a bullhorn, voice amp or mp3 player amp
i estimate that with the speakers+batteries and other components it will add about 1 1/2 - 2 lbs to the gun
my main questions are.. is it worth the additional weight?... would it be practical..would people like something like this?
i think i read something on the New England garrison forums.. i pretty sure someone there has a actual casting of his face, but not the whole thing
dont know if that will help you;)
ya i am thinking that is the way i am going to go. do you think a flamethrower that shoots real fire would be ok to use for photos only? not trooping of course
more pics below ( im getting this more refined)
i really think a live chat feature such as a java IRC/MIRC client would be great. not only would it allow real time communication, it would also allow the direct sharing of digital media between users like photos, rare footage,ect...
ya the angles are tough, i keep dying before i can adjust them perfectly . but i think i can do a rough blueprint soon, then a prototype i already have a pile of stuff labeled (things that will one day be a flamethrower )
